The g3 is awesome. I have it as 2, sets1 with an red dot sight and steady aim for fast mid range kills and it works fine in close range. I also have one with an acog scope which kills very fast, its still pretty much best accuracy + high dmg. I play on the wii if you see garbear thats me :D

i dont need a no recoil mod. I usually play with the m14, and that thing has a s***load of recoil, using the g3 afterwards is easier to manage, just wait for the tip of the gun to settle and you got your 100% accuracy again.

Apart from that, I haven'th played this game in ages, I'm more of a tf2 player now, but I'll be playing again once mw2 comes out.

lag is a word thats used to much. lag is when the system is overloaded so it causes LAG to some poeple and it slows the game down and some times it will freeze for a couple of seconds not elimentate the recoil! if it was lag then it would have slowed.

There's a mod that comes with the PC version that allows you to have all weapons and attachment's unlocked form the start. Puts everyone on an equal footing. That's probably whats happening here.

I've always had a trigger finger, so i use the G3. Its a really good gun for real! Is the RDS better than the normal iron sights? I cant really tell, i guess the RD makes it easier to hit ppl. Any G3 hints would be great...

g3 has a different playing style than all assault rifle. for g3 its best to just pick people from a distance than going to close quarter or ever medium range. its good to see everyone then just shoot them while ur team advances. what i like in g3 is when you use it properly you dont get high deaths. if ur going in close quarters, its good to make 1-2 team mates go in first to make sure its safe lol. but if ur alone be ready to pull that trigger as fast as you can or just simply switch to pistol.

Claymore all the way maybe C4 if you prefer it ,sleight of hands if you shoot fast, the ammo capacity is really good for a semi-automatic though uh maybe UAV jammer steady aim so if they get close you can still rape them or deep impact if your going to "snipe" more

i love the g3! you should make a silenced g3 montage, although i heard there is a knifing glitch which i havent tested out yet. of course, if you are planning to show kills with the weapon, you really shouldn't be knifing in the first place, i suppose.

yea, that chopper was pretty insane. But in hardcore mode, the g3 is usually a 1 hit kill, if u have stopping power or something, or if u hit a good spot. Otherwise it is a 2 to 3. <- when you are in normal game without stopping power.

If by "upper chest" you mean 'neck' then you'd be right. The M14 does 40-50 damage, and is the only AR that gets headshot damage for neck hits. So with stopping power it one shot kill to the head and neck, anywhere else it wont deal enough damage...unless it's hardcore.
