Fairhaven golf course used to extend all the way up to the beach until it was all developed, I think the pic at 1.03 is the old club house witch is now the cafe next to the lake.

great video, i never knew about any of that, it's a shame they are on about closing it all, they should not be allowed, they will only build even more houses and get even more council tax to squander on home furnishings ( i know this happens ) and then they have the cheek to say they have "lost" £600,000 and they will have to write it off! STOP ruining our heritage and leave us something to do in this wonderful area. leave the swimming pools/ ashton gardens and fairhaven lake alone! PLEASE!
