@FlashSportStreamsUK It's not strange. It's because the voice records from the original Metal Gear Solid for PSX were recorded in a booth without soundproof. In the PSX system you couldn't hear the background noise, but when the recordings were used in the PS3 version (and in the gamecube), they could be heard. That's why they remade the voice acting in Twin Snakes and used them in MGS4. Took this information in Metal Gear Wiki :)
