It was Magallanes (Magalhaes) who spotted the territory and mapped with exact coordinates, becoming part of the "Virreynato del Rio de la Plata". The islanders have descended from over 200 years of living there, longer than argentina has existed! @Arkthos I'm from Argentina and beyond what happened in 1982 in the Falklands and the war that fought our heroic soldiers (ALL OF THEM) it's important to be professional as military man or civilized as civilians to understand that insulting the english or call them pirates it's pointless. That was a war that we lost and will stay in the pages of history forever, both sides fought fiercely and until the day we're again at war with England not even one of them is our enemy.

It was Magallanes (Magalhaes) who spotted the territory and mapped with exact coordinates, becoming part of the "Virreynato del Rio de la Plata". Magallanes, was a Portuguese in the service of the king of Spain.

@Arkthos I'm from Argentina and beyond what happened in 1982 in the Falklands and the war that fought our heroic soldiers (ALL OF THEM) it's important to be professional as military man or civilized as civilians to understand that insulting the english or call them pirates it's pointless. That was a war that we lost and will stay in the pages of history forever, both sides fought fiercely and until the day we're again at war with England not even one of them is our enemy.

Soy argentino y mas alla de lo sucedido en 1982 en Malvinas y la guerra que libraron nuestros heroicos soldados (CADA UNO DE ELLOS) es importante ser "profesional" como militar y/o "civilizado" como civil para entender que insultar a los Ingleses, llamarlos piratas y demas no tiene sentido. Esa fue una guerra que perdimos y quedara para siempre en la historia, ambos bandos combatieron ferozmente y hasta el dia en que volvamos a estar en guerra con Inglaterra ningun ingles es nuestro enemigo.

@Arkthos Buen comentario, aunque yo estoy muy de acuerdo en los insultos que se les da al pié de este video a los ingleses, porque si te metés en un video sobre una canción patria a bardear, que se la banquen.
Las Malvinas son más argentinas que nunca, antes de la guerra eran islas y el mar, ahora es un santuario de heroes argentinos. Los mismos insultos que acá le dan a los ingleses que les vayan 10 veces más a los traidores de acá que dicen que es un capricho o un caso perdido.
