Your frustrations with derchios castle were the EXACT same thing that happened to me only with Almerra castle, I wish they added an option to bitch out your fellow lords for using such a lack of common sense. But I guess you kind of have to expect that playing with AI.

@GazzerHST It's been a while so I can't exactly remember :) It probably shows in the video if you watch it a bit. (this seems to be one of the videos which YouTube didn't process to 480p, but it all shows good in 720p)

well if you read my messages here's a new one so the sarrinids do nothing but eat feasts and get destroyed on every battlefield unless it is flat...i lost all 3 of my fiefs dhirm..wayyef castle and mit nun...while the sultan was having a feast...i lost all of my veteran guys and companions along with 5 captured lords..so i was like forget sarrinids ..i left them and am now a vassal of the nords..but get this 2days after i left the sarrinids they suddenly went to a peaceful state ..sarrinids suck

Can u build your own kingdom in the original mount and blade

@itsvacerritos In original M&B you can rebel against a kingdom, but you don't get to rename it and you can't manage it that much - so it's not having your own kingdom as it is in Warband.

Man when you get a castle ALWAYS leave your army in the castle

@TheDomonSlayer Aye - in general, it's good to leave troops into the newly captured castle, but at that point, it didn't make sense as the army wouldn't have been enough to stop the Rhodoks anyway, and I didn't want to waste Violet's troops for nothing.

You don't have to follow the marshal, just come when he summons and then you can go on your own, he even says that himself. I suggest not to try to hard for another faction's sake, better start your own kingdom. AI sucks at war campaining. Faction leaders go on feasts more often than to battle.

Also, Rivacheg is one of the best places to start your own kingdom. But you might have very low Right to rule, since you didn't send your companions on missions to get support.

@sovijus Aye, Violet fights with Sarranids for now to build her right to rule, while gaining experience and leveling the companions and all that - own kingdom is the goal, but I don't think I can do that yet.

As for the companion missions, that's all new to me, as I haven't played Warband before this let's play (just original M&B), and I thought those missions are only available when I have my own kingdom - I guess I need to talk to my companions some more :)

@TheZemalf You need to build up Right to rule before starting your kingdom, otherwise you might get neverending wars with everyone. Sending your companions is the fastest way to get it. Waiting for it to build up from peace treaties might take a long time.
