  • i have a question when can you start taking out the baby

  • thankyou so much for posting this video it was really helpful :) thnkx!

  • very GOOD

  • Me and My cousin helped a budgie hatch because it was with a little hole for a long time so we just cut the top off very carefully and let the chick do the rest and now she is very healthy and loving also very tame she is an only Daughter until now that Cleo is on her second Clutch of 4 and one chick hatched today(2/3/2012). That one ended up very tired from hatching and does not have a nail in one of His/Her Toes, but i hope the baby turns out very beautiful like its older sister.

  • awww ^^, that's just ADORABLE!!

  • The like button has a new sound! OMG!

  • Theyre so cute! THey look like little baby aliens when they dont have their featheres yet LOL. What a beutiful video! :)

  • it's so precious at 0:47 I just started bawling and I don't even know why <333

  • i got two budgies today 2 months old though have you got any advice?

  • My eggs all hatched we have (in order of hatching) Cricket, Piper, Areo, Kiwi and Breeze. So far Breeze is not getting fed so we have to hand feed it. I'm also worried the Breeze was not getting warm, so.....(this might sound crazy) we lined a small box with mateiral and put Cricket (for warmth) and Breeze in it near the heating vent. I love how disfuntional my family

  • that budgie look s just like mine!

  • This was so helpful and cute. My bird Lemon laid 5 eggs and the first one hatched yesterday. Jet is one proud papa!

    Thanks again.

  • whoever disliked this must be a real hobo

  • AWWW!!! OMG SO CUTE!!

  • awwww so cute ^^ <3

  • why does my baby budgie still look so small,,its going to be 17 days and it looks nothing like the 20 day old birds i see online,,,it seems healthy it walks around eats normal everything seems fine,,,is this normal?

  • @bxsunone

There is nothing to be worried about. He will catch up eventually, and budgies grow a GREAT deal over a day :)

  • PLEASE ANSWER! When should i take the baby budgies out to hand feed them i want them to be hand reared and want them to be really tamed! since both of my birds are wild i dont want them being wild and i dont want to leave them in the nest box for more than 2-3 weeks! I'm not trying to be cruel!

  • @Deniz247100

Please don't take them out unless their parens abandon them. Budgies need to be fed by their mother until at least the age of 21 days because it is beneficial for them just like breastmilk is for human infants. You can start handling them for 10 minutes each day starting at 14 days of age. You have to be persistent and patient if you want them to be trained.

But please DO NOT remove them from the nestbox. Budgies fledge at at around 4 weeks ON THEIR OWN and when they're ready.

  • What a great video, nicely done.

  • Very, VERY sweet!

  • they are so cute...

  • so cute cant look away good job liked

  • aww(:

  • like if this made you smile :)

  • I've hand raised cockatiels before n they r much bigger.I got a baby budgie 2 weeks ago and it suddenly passed on 4 days later. Was very sad.I got another baby and its thriving mainly because the first 2 days I force fed it hand rearing mix before it would eat. So guys don't not feed the baby just because it won't eat. Force litle bits down(not excessive force of course!!)

  • cute

  • What moron disliked this? Its an amazing video.Loved it.

  • ahaha lol at 1:19 it says " im out! ", YES IM FREE! , shit, " im back in"

  • 1 person has a problem in this vid

  • Great vid!

  • I've had my budgie for 7 months. Idk how old he is, but i got him from a pet store.

  • I love the one on the right 1:04 So cute :)

  • should i not feed my budgie except in my hand to train him and if he dosent eat put it in his bowl

  • i just got my first couple of babies only about 2 days ago!

  • did u hand feed them or just handle them a lot? Cuz I let the parents take care of the babies and I handled the babies everyday from like10 days old and now they squawk at me whenever I go near them r open the nest box. They were actually pretty good a few days ago when their eyes were open then too but now they are scared?

  • -Amazing!-

  • The most beautiful story of the budgies' life! Really touches me, i love your video and Sunday i'm going to buy my new budgie....I can't wait.

  • beautiful birds...

  • I'm so happy right now :)

  • Very nice:) Makes me miss my last budgie, Juliet...she was the most amazingly sweet creature I have ever met, and I've had many budgies and other pets

  • 22 Days <3

  • Wonderful!

  • so adorable

  • Heheh this song is always on during the part of the movie where the main character is trying to improve his or her ways, or make it up to someone.

  • Great job putting all the stages together. Very cute fun video.

  • loved the video :D so cute!!!!

  • They are so cute, and thank you for posting this beautiful video, Only one egg hatched out 8 eggs that my budgie layed, and believe me almost everyday I came and watched your video over and over, just to compare my baby budgies and yours. Today my baby is 20 days old, and he has white wings with a blue tail!!!!!!! Thank you again!!!!

  • sweet wee video, i enjoyed it very much!

  • It depends on the budgie's life style including diet and exercise. It can be anywhere from 3-15 years :)

  • @Qrocks1 daim mine passed those years XD

i got mine the same day as my cockatiel and both of them are around 17 yrs old

  • How many years does a budgie live

  • @canguy9 15 if kept healthy
