I have to agree with missasmara that those are not the best costumes for this. It says something about the skill of the dancers that they can function at all, but their costume designer needs to be flogged and fired.
I am still astounded at the forms of Eritrean dance. How anyone can dance so energeticly and gracefully in such a long dress is beyond me. A week or so ago, I would also have thought the idea of dancing while sitting absurd.
I seem almost to have wandered into another world.
