@roadtoadie3 It depends in which state of the US are in. It ranges from no age limit to 21 years and above. But in most states, the blade shouldnt be more than 2 inches long. Check with your nearest police station and they should guide you better.

the reamer, punch when clossed not properly hits te key ring which provides a failure in the blade which is really not cool.

does any body know how to fix the dull blade?

Hey man, first of all I know exactly what you are talking about.

And really, about the only way you can fix it is taking off the keyring,

or just making sure it is out of the way when you close the reamer.

Now as far as fixing the dullened reamer:

I would buy a sharpening stone (diomond is better but not essentsial)

between a 200 and 300 grit. Sharpen both sides of the blade at a shallow angle on the one side, then a more steep on the other side. 1/2

The reason for doing this is because the reamer is pretty much only sharpened on one side.....much like a pair of sissors, so the side that doesn't have the groove running up the reamer, or the nail catch for opening, the othe side is the one you want to have a really steep angle. Sharpen till it is sattisfactory,

you can even afterwards go to a finer grit stone such as a 400 if you want it really sharp!

There is always a way to sharpen a knife yes! I would recommend you get one of the quick sharpeners with the two discs you draw the blade through.....they do a decent job and they are fast, easy to use and don't cost much.

Just ask at your local outdoor store, and they should know what you are looking for.

Swiss Army Knives are expensive. There is one stupid thing though, the screwdriver on the can opener is the same size as the one in the bottem of the knife, the fine screwdriver.
