I played this with my school Symphony Orchestra in Wells Cathedral just over a week and I think it's awesome! I had to kind of push my fellow players a little bit because they're a very traditional lot where I come from but they did a good job in the end, and I really enjoyed giving this music the promotion it deserves :)
This is a piece of such inspiration, it really is. The first time I heard this I couldn't get past the first 10 secs because I kept pressing rewind for those opening glissandi. When I finally got beyond the opening bars I discoverd how wonderful a work this really is!
Questo Lutoslawski è più affascinante dell'ultimo, ma paradossalmente più scontato

Make no mistake: This is one of the truly great 20th Century works.

I saw this in concert about 20 years ago -- Wit conducting the SFO -- it was fantastic. The spatial effects are really well done.
Does anyone know who is performing in this recording?
