  • I really miss this. i remember eating this with my family. Starting with Sev Puri, Ragda Patties, Dahi Batata Puri, Bhel Puri and Pani Puri and finishing with boiled potato sprinkled with black salt. God, i miss those days.

Next time i go to India, i am going to eat all this. doesn't matter if i get diarrhoea for the next two days.

  • the awkward moment when it doesn't taste goood and he has to dance to make us believe that it's tasty..:)

  • Very good thanks !

  • thumbs up for the accent :)

  • Sanjeev your recipes are confusing specially this paani for pani puri. you didnt tell us how much tamarind juice we should use & when i tried it, my paani was all brown so please tell us how much tamarind juice, black salt, water we should use.

  • @sweetnspicy52 It would depend on your taste tamarind adds to the sourness to the concoction so add little at a time, black salt maybe about 1 teaspoon,1 teaspoon salt you could add a teaspoon or two of panipuri masala if you desire it adds to the flavor water about 6 glasses water taste and adjust the flavor as per your desire ...If you would like to know you could add about half teacup tamarind juice and you could add some lime to it also it will bring out the flavor

  • @sweetnspicy52 Don't forget to add some finely chopped onions into the puri along with the mashed potatoes they will add to the taste and you shall find the flavor just explode in your mouth. If you feel at any point in time that the green chillies are a little too much then all you need to do is add a little lime to it and also tamarind is an additional option it will sober down the pungent taste :P Good luck

  • @sharathSizZle thanks sharath i think mr. thumma is pretty busy enjoying his paani puri that's why he didn't reply.

  • @sweetnspicy52 haha... possible :P zZz you reminded me of pani puri's now I feel like eating pani puri's .... now the tough job is to find some1 to give me company to eat pani puri's xD

  • the best way is to make pani for puri is buy the pani puri masala and if u need spicy just add gren chillie paste thats it u dun have to do like this all n wasting time

  • Hi dis is

  • Hi Cheff.. Thanks for your pani recipe.. watching at your expressions after you ate pani puri ,really makes me eat immediately :)

  • where do you buy the tamren juice?

  • Hiya, can make tamarind juice your own... All you need is , just take a lemon size tamarind into a microwave safe bowl ..add little water to it and put it into microwave for about 5 min ..after that if you squeeze the tamarind , easily tamarind juice will appear before you. Stain the water (juice) to get the pure water without any stuff..

Hope now you can make it yeah :)

    cheers,

    UKVNS

  • @Mr8063 I ate 60 and got nausea and got addmitted for 2 days at a hospital. The doctor told me that it was not because of the pani puris, but because of the old biriyani i ate at my friends house3 days before. The doctor told me that the pani puris helped to get the rotten biriyani out.All hail pani puris!!

  • the pudina has to be strained.... the leaves r floating in the water..not the correct way, though the gist of it is rite

  • Comment removed

  • @provogue1678

Some people like the pudina leaves, I like them in my pani poori. Sometimes I run it in the blender but there's nothing wrong about the floating pudina.

  • as u say, every place the making of pani is different. in mumbai , they dont put chilli sauce, they put mint chutney in water. after that they dip it in again in sweet chutney.

  • mmmmmm this looks soooo good, just one question, the yogurt you used is it sour, cause the only yogurt you get here is the one in plastic boxes and they're really sour.

  • my mom makes own yogurt at home. First boils milk in pan. Then after its cooled down she adds a little yogurt from the plastic boxes. Then she puts it in a box or watever you want to use fro your yogurt and puts it in the oven. The oven is not heated! Then she keeps it for the night an then takes it out and there u have yogurt! Its not sour at all.

  • OMG it looks fantastic...for stuffing u can also use boiled red lobia. and I love the mint in pani,,really gives it a wonderful taste. Good work and keep it up
