  • take care of the fed and you take care of a huge stronghold of corruption

  • ron paul has got a whacky fiscal ideology just like all you free marketeers, haha what a joke a free market never has existed never will exist, stop theorizing and live in reality. hes smart with some finer points i.e. anti military but contemporary conservative business ideologies are what have fucked us from the get go. government isn't the problem, the possibility of the corporate world to fuck with the political world is the most inherently stupid idea i have ever heard of

  • @510AWOL the possibility of the corporate world to fuck with the political world is the most inherently stupid idea i have ever heard of" What do you think special interest and lobbyist are?

  • @stbartels12 that is my point exactly get rid of lobbyists

  • I felt stupid everytime ron paul got on TV and i didn't comprehend anything he was saying about the federal reserve and the economy because he only has a minute or two to explain his position. Found a really good site that cleared it up for me. hmscoop.com. Quick overview of banking and the federal reserve. If you're like me it might help to clear it up for you.

  • Why the fuck is more than half the committee not there? Washington is broken.

  • Any salesman knows how to start an answer with positive affirmations and validations of customer concerns. But only those who are GOOD at their job make the customer feel like he is on their side. Timothy Geithner is a HORRIBLE salesman.

  • Geithner probably practiced in the mirror for days. So quick to agree with Dr. Paul.

  • I just don't get why people can't see that our current recession and proceeding credit crisis was caused by the Fed's artificially low interest rates in 2001-2003. Ron Paul is right on the fucking money.

  • Quite beautiful body language you are exhibiting Mr. Geithner. Head tilted forward in an aggressive control posture, nervous laughter, furrowed brows that indicate either concern that you are being called out or anger at the question presented by Congressman Paul. Why do your hand gestures indicate that you are using rhetoric in a futile attempt to guide Mr Paul along your line of thought which is misleading and potentially deceptive in order to lay blame on a scape goat or avoid answering???

  • Geithner is a crook.

  • I wish Mr Paul was younger and live for another 50 years because we need him!!!

  • @Pher0cious

He has like 30yrs of experience in congress, but nobody listened.

  • If we end taxes, we will end the tyranny. Does anyone know where all those taxes go? They go to feed the parasitic beast. Forced taxation is extortion. Forced taxation is slavery.

  • @yay78900

the federal income taxes all goes to the federal reserve A.K.A. private banks NOT OWNED by the government...

  • What would happen if the real value of paper and digital numbers was realized so that it was no longer worth anything? Would it be chaos or would people realize the real value of food, water, medicine, trust, friendship, and love.

  • Ron Paul is right, END the FED!

  • Please do not try and associate anarchy with our government's founding document, anarchists are truly inimical to constitutional liberty. Government is essential in a society of men to protect individual rights. We must define what is proper for government, non-government is chaos and leads to tyranny.

  • Identifying the state is necessary to the protect individual liberty is saying that Individual rights can only be protected by an elite catering to the collective.

Anything granted by an external entity can only be identified as a civil right or privilege, which may be taken away on the whim of that which granted it.

States exist by holding themselves above the laws they enforce, when limited government is all about restraint to the law.

  • Taxation and the use of force, for instance, which equate to nothing more than the type of extortionary practices perpetrated by mobs and street gangs are the life's blood and justification for the state, respectively, yet violate liberty by their nature. This violation of liberty is contrary to the purpose of instituting the state in the first place, according to the classical liberal ideals of the enlightenment.

  • An organization, then, that can only exist by holding itself above the laws it enforces can be never be anything more than a threat.

Ultimately, only an individual can truly defend his own liberty.

  • I agreed with you until your last remark, regarding non-government being "chaotic" (agreed) as well as "leading to tyranny". The latter remark is what I do not understand. How can the removal of all instilled power lead to corruption? Power must be recognized to be tyrannical; anarchy would be the absence of any and all power granted.

If you were trying to imply that in a world of anarchy, tyranny is ensured, I would agree. However, I feel tyranny is inevitable on a long enough timeline, always.

  • poor audio level

  • Geithner: loses

    Ron Paul: wins

so, why is that CROOK still allowed to talk so happy? ...disgusting!

  • Wow, it seems like Bernanke and some New Keynesians are the only ones who still say publicly that low interest rates and moral hazard had nothing to do with producing the boom and bust.

If loose monetary policy creates a boom and recession, misallocating capital, there is a real burden on them to explain how doing the same thing restores the economy.

  • Geithner's such a piece of shit.

"uh yea you're absolutely right mr Paul, but but but baa baaa baaa ... "

  • Gather around children I have a story.Along time before discovering fire there were two tribes. One a nomadic group that wandered, never settling down, growing crops, or building houses. Then one day they came across a happy, peaceful, hard working group living by a large rushing river. The nomads wanted it.They could not use force, so they begged to live there and this was the beginning of our two political parties the Democrats and Republicans. The Republicans are not the nomads.

  • "Tiny" Tim Geithner's tiny tap dance! lol Go Ron!

  • In 1927, Hitler said: "We are socialists, we are enemies of todays capitalistic economic system. Nazism (Nationalsozialismus, National Socialism), Nazi Party published their 25-point National Socialist Program. In postWorld War I Weimar Germany, the Nazis were among the political parties defining their ideology as National Socialism.

  • @americadashi, "Big" government doesn't have to do with the number of representatives, it has to do with the size of its budget and its influence in the economy. It also has to do with Federal government, as State governments are considered smaller (smaller budget), and country and city governments are even smaller.

Small government means less spending (as a percentage of GDP), and less centralization, not less representatives.

  • think it through deeper.. technology increases wealth and lowers the percentage cost of government.. it's not supposed to rise.. in medieval times the hierarchical societies had huge government and administrative costs.. just think many of them were repressive enough to cause revolts. let's work on that logic and economic knowledge before you take a stand and even "apologize" to an economic master like paul.. it comes across insulting.

  • 4:33 Just take out the Gov. subsidy! Why make this more complicated than it is? Without the subsidy from the gov to the housing market this bubble was not possible because the demand would not have been possible to boost prices.

And so what do we do with healthcare??

The same exact thing! subsidize it, increase demand, increase price.

    DUMB.

  • @mots35, totally agreed. Either those in government are complete morons (many believe that, but I don't), or those pulling the strings, the ones with the real power, the ones we don't see, but have enormous influence, want the Dollar to collapse and the Federal Government to go bankrupt.

The economic crisis was no accident any more than the bankruptcy of our health care providers that will be caused by this health care bill. Our sovereignty will be weakened by excessive debt and inflation.

  • That is what is so scary who exactly is pulling the strings? Everything they do has not one lick of common sense.

  • Is there any other congressman out there besides RP that gives a shit about us, we the people?

  • we need more people like Ron

  • Its all about Control, Manipulation and Control.

I wonder if Ron Paul clearly understands, that these people know EXACTLY what they are doing and will continue to do so, because THEIR BOSSES (the ones you don't see), need a job done.

Based on the Bible, Things are looking spot on. Soon a Chip in the hand and we can call it a day.

  • THE GOAL IS TO DESTROY US. That's why it doesn't "make sense", b/c nobody seems to understand that this is their GOAL, destroying our economy. It is the STATED and PUBLISHED goal of the banking elites, i.e., owners of the World Bank, Federal Reserve, IMF.

    WAKE UP!

  • WHY is Timmy not in jail yet? WHY is Paulson not in jail? Our reps in DC are cowards.

  • look at how shifty Geithner looks, he looks like he has claws like a little rat not hands.

  • Ron Paul is the man

  • Geithner purposely wastes RP time by feeding him crap/trash how ever you want to say it.

I would very much would love to see very badly a 1hr debate RP VS Geithner and Bernanke.

I place a bet for all the money saying that RP would wipe the floor with both of them very badly.

  • Geithner is a lying criminal.

  • When it comes to finances Paul is usually right. Dummycrats say Bush destroyed the economy. I don't think so. It is being destroyed now. Budget deficit through first 5 months of 2010 $651 billion. Most ever for this period. Projected 2010 deficit $1.6 trillion. China has reduced their Treasury purchases the past 3 months. They don't like our debt. When Fed has to buy most of debt USA is in trouble.

  • can't hear

  • @boylebongo i wish the audio was better too

  • Good lord Geithner is full of hot air. Having him speak in a room will make the AC bill go up. I wanted to hear his answer to the first question.

  • @WKaliberr How could an idiot predict this recession years ago?

  • @PresidentRich I predicted this recession years ago

recessions happen, deal with it bitch

  • And why is that?

  • Why?

  • and your not?

  • takes one to know one, and i guess you know them all!

  • You're entitled to your opinion, even when it's wrong. Stick to uploading mindless crap like hip hop (w/ the exception of the few with a real message). You are clueless and foolish. Don't embarrass yourself anymore. It makes me sad.

  • But is it ok if my $50 is backed by gold?

  • Thrice13...my bad!

  • bank stole my house yesterday their appraisal from 3 years ago was slightly off went from 950,000 in 07 to 450,000 in o8 -The auction yesterday 325,000 -no buyers .Why did they appraise it at 950,000 ?

  • Something's worth what someone's prepared to pay for it. What did you pay for it?

  • @1RoaringMonk, Christ... What the hell??? You've got to be kidding, me. Is there a way to fight this discrepancy and sue their ass? Maybe get reporters on this? The media attention or something? I'm so sick and tired of the big boys making dumb ass decisions with no freaking care about the little guy.

  • The question is; why did you buy the house

    for 950,000?

  • @creflodollar The answer is:

Because humans have been taught to believe that material wealth is important and more important than just about anything else.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • lol at the massive pause after he says private shareholders : >

  • He caught himself. He had to back it up a bit. I guess he was about to shoot himself in the foot. lol

  • WHERE IS EVERYONE ? This tells me that my representative could care less about the $28 TRILLION these criminals (Geithner and the rest )

have stolen. If your not part of the solution YOU ARE THE PROBLEM ? Call your rep and ask them where is that $28 TRILLION. YOUR PAYING FOR IT AFTERALL, THAT'S IF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM DOESN'T COLLAPSE WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE INTENT OF GEITHNER AND COMPANY..GGRRRRRRR !!

  • @MrRiceowlex, that money is probably in the Global Security Fund...or at least part of it. I hear the GSF is up to about $65 trillion is it?

  • These five-minute exchanges are just not enough. I say we got Geithner, Bernanke, Paul, and Schiff in some great hall and have them do a proper debate that'll take, like, a whole day. Advertise it, televise it, and make damn sure these clowns become thoroughly aware of the arguments and thinking from the other side.

  • Ron Paul is AMAZING!

  • Ron Paul, the man as usual.

  • RP constantly gives the fed people and their cronies the "treatment" and they really dont know what to say. Priceless!

  • Why isn't this tax dodging, manipulating embezzler, still out and about and NOT behind stone and steel walls????

  • I think its because he's a politician.

  • Testing- He told His Squireely Azz.

  • 0% loans from the FOMC is a government subsidy.

Low worldwide interest rates was Greenspan's fault.

  • RP Told His Squirrely Ass. Enuff Said!

  • Geithner doesn't want Austrian economics. The monopolistic system in place lets him and his masters swindle every dime of wealth from the nation and the American People. He and every other high ranking Fed stooge along with the owners and controllers should be tried for high treason aagainst the People and the united States of America.

  • @TheHylander1314 Hear, hear

  • Geithner says, " Oh, Austrian Economics. I get it! Lets put another shriimp on the bar-b."

  • (5:01-5:02) What?

  • Help Ron's son Rand beat the neocons and win a Senate seat! Moneybomb today... donate at: randpaul2010 dot c o m!!

  • Geithner must be getting VERY nervous...

  • Go Ron Paul! I would looooove to see him as our President.

  • (4:31-4:41) MISDIRECTION...two parties stated linguistically however his fingers on the table show he's talking about three parties (institutions with private shareholders, subsidy from the government, taxpayer)...implying business and government should exist entirely in one entity and that individuals with private capital are creating the moral hazards.

  • Geithner is kind of just like Obama... He agrees with rational arguments and then comes to a completely illogical conclusion. I wonder how he does that without cracking a smile.

  • Geithner's just trying to dodge the questions, and hes full of it when he didnt even have a relative idea what Ron's bill was. Let's kick out all these boneheads or should I say idealogues this year and 2012. We just need to keep up this momentum. It's a shame that bc a few tea partiers supposedly said something racist they're now saying all of them are racists. Too bad... The left is a often times more dirty and the 'mainstream' media ignores it.

  • I doubt Geithner even knows what Austrian Economics is...

He agrees 100%. He agrees 100% that he needs to say that he agrees 100% to keep his job.

  • don't be fooled these politicians and figureheads all know the truth of whats going on and are very smart. But however they lack morals, they are just bought and paid for. Ron paul is ohe of the only honest politicians

    RON PAUL 2012

  • The ending is precious

  • Support Rand Paul, Ron Paul's son.

He went from an outsider to a frontrunner for a senate seat, and now the powers that be are doing all they can to discredit him and get their own man in.

  • Geithner (out loud): I agree with 100%...

Geithner (thoughts): but I'm gonna continue what I am doing anyway...

  • Amasing how another question goes unanswered.

  • More reform and regulations? You think they didn't know the about the current rules and regulations? Arrest people, that's what you do.......Arrest crooks

  • pfff..

He did not even answer one question.. :/

  • Geithner should have never been hired. He's a tax cheating crook.

  • Jeez, like I've been saying (to myself I guess) for the past few months, Paul needs to drastically shorten his prefaces to questions and get to the point to allow for answers so he can rebut more often. He needs more debate with these guys on record, he ran out of time here once again. It's good to have more dialogue back and forth so he can attempt to get straight answers and then give solid solutions in return. He doesn't allow enough time for this :/

either way, glad he's in there fighting.

  • i have disagreements with Ron Paul.

but Ron Paul offers us understanding where the statists give us confusion, he offers us freedom where they slickly argue for more control, he argues for peace where they want war for us, he argues for reason where they try to cover their criminal tracks.

RP is a truly great friend of humanity and of human freedom, and while i am an anti-statist, i support this man 100% in his efforts. i am humbled by this man and the degree of his uncompromising courage.

  • What are your disagreements with Paul?

  • @gold95

he is a minarchist, i am a full blown anti-statist.

but we both agree on austrian economics.

  • @junior00bacon00chee can you explain that to me like I am a two year old?

  • @gold95

ron paul still wants limited government, ie, constitutional republic. i moreso agree with someone like murray rothbard, one of the main contributors to austrian economics, that all services can be provided by the market, so i would consider myself what you might call a market anarchist or anarcho-capitalist, which means no statist govt, no taxation, and private markets for even law, justice, security, etc. pure freedom baby.

  • How would you handle national defense? privately? What about police, fire departments etc? privately?

  • @gold95

i have a series called "obliterating statist myths" which deals with law and justice. there are many anti-statists on youtube with vids answering those questions, i'd check out a channel called "fringeelements" which has some good vids.

also if you want to go in depth go to mises(dot)org and search for murray rothbard's book "for a new liberty" which seeks to answer those very questions. hope that helps, let me know if you would like more resources.

  • You may as well support the true Republic the nation was meant to be. It's the closest thing to what you want that will ever be. On the real political spectrum, not the republican/democrat paradigm, Anarchy and a true republic are side by side. A true republic bounded by law has a federal government who job is to ensure our liberties, not strip them.

  • @st4ticblu3

i think if there is one overwhelmingly clear lesson of the past few hundred years it is that limited govt cannot work. we started out with the most limited state in history and ended up with the largest empire in history, by many magnitudes.

the only real solution is consistent, uncompromising liberty.

  • Our constitution is clearly libertarian in nature, which as you said, is something very close to anarchy.

  • What ?

  • 100 Rating and only 311 views?

  • @RonPaulWI

    Ya still only 311 views...

  • YouTube views often pause some time after 300 views, and then pick up again later when they are "re-tallied", or however the system works.

It's been like that for a lot of videos for some time now.

  • Sit up straight, Timmy.

  • goddamn i wish paul was in office is he the only one left who has any damn sense?...OMFG i wish our government would listen to him

  • even if he doesnt run, im writing down his name in the "other" part.

And I will be a first time voter.

  • Geithner is a fucking coward bitch boy. Let's hang him and Bernanke already.

  • I want Dr Paul's portrait on the $50 bill.

  • I want his portrait on a one ounce gold coin!

  • WOW, look at how empty that room is. Thank god for Ron Paul tackling this stuff.

  • geithner is greaaaassssyyyy

  • Ron is a national treasure

  • wow look at the turnout

  • Chavez I mean Obama and his gang has no chance in the next elections. Most of them will be voted out.

  • Ron Paul & Judge Napolitano 2012!!!

  • .

Spot on as usual Dr Paul.

    .

  • Tiny Tim agrees with the Truth.

    So big of him.

    Ron Paul Rocks.

  • Bernanke, Summers, Geithner etc.

These same bunch of crooks who brought the country into an abyss are not only free from any punishment, but are at the wheel of the Obama's "new" team to steer us out of this mess. Aren't we just doomed?

  • @lwglwglwg Yes, we are doomed. That's reality.

  • No. These people will be prosecuted for there crimes. Don't get discouraged. The libertarians will be big this year and we will fix everything.

  • Its going to take a little longer before real change can happen, we will see in 2012 if Ron runs, if he loses it will take another 5-10 years for the freedom message to become the majority mantra.....its has begun but not close enough to really change the 100 years of this machine.....people are awakening but how can/do you act with great results?

  • @europa you don't think this november there is going to be a run on libertarians? All we have to do is impeach every member who voted for the bill and press charges on the people who have been at the heart of the mess. Treason could become very common.

  • Ron Paul looks very "Presidential" these days! Ron Paul 2012!

  • Timothy Geither, the crooked little elf, is a leading actor in:

    THE OBAMA DECEPTION.

  • PrecioussssssssSSSS...."Lord of the rings..Gollum"

  • Gaithner is agreeing to take up time, not because he actually cares. He was the head of the NY Fed and was a regulator, who failed, but of course, got promoted later to treasury secretary lol.

Mr. Paul knows this, How he keeps his cool is beyond me.

  • Ron Paul has helped to start a philosophical revolution in this country about the proper role of the federal government and the moral hazards that it helps to create in our everyday lives. A philosophical revolution takes a long time to catch on, but with the help of the internet and Tea Patries and individuals like Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, Lew Rockwell, Marc Faber, Jim Rogers, Tom Woods, Andrew Napolitano and others the revolution is growing in leaps and bounds currently.

  • I'm not sure about the anarchocapitalists like Lew Rockwell.

  • seriously. it's insulting.

  • You may find it ironic that Tim Geithner got promoted despite his failures at the NY Fed, but those "failures" made a lot of powerful people rich, which is ultimately what got him his new job as treasury secretary.

In government, anytime you are puzzled as to why someone gets promoted despite being a f*ckup. Realize that the f*ckup only screws the common people, while at the same time enriching powerful people.

The U.S. government is corrupt from top to bottom.

  • @myhipsi Geithner's failures go way back even before his time at the Fed

In the 90s he was with the IMF and he so screwed several Asian nations going through the Currency crisis that China told the IMF to keep him far away from them.

  • And Canadian. They act in concert to destroy our countries Constitutions and the Rule of Law. Traitors all of them causing pain poverty and death amongst the population.

  • "...I think you're right to point out that a long period of low interest rates around the world played a major role in contributing to this financial crisis." -Timothy Geithner

    A little late buddy.

  • geithner is so slimey.

  • @boethius27 Ron Paul sucks

  • geithner agrees but doesnt admit that the FED is at the bottom of it...

  • Geithner agrees because Geithner's solution is to give the Federal Reserve and government more regulatory power over the economy and we the people.
