  • LRRP school Weingarten Germany.....

  • The US LRRP didnt win the way. US lost the war with vietnam , no one talks about that.

IMO the sri lankan LRRP is kick ass. they defeated the most deadly and dangerous terrorist outfit the world has ever seen, the LTTE.

Also they had decades of real battle experience, which i think is more important than any training, and also mental toughness

  • @SuperKaripakaya

Larry Thorne the toughest special forces soldier.

  • Is that the real Larry Forrest aka Black Icicle? Wow! He's a legend.

  • You LRRPs had some serious courage. My dad was a LRRP in the 173rd Airborne Division ,74th inf. detachment and close friends with Staff Sergeant Laszlo Rabel, the only LRRP to recieve the Medal of Honor. I recently became very interested in what it was to be a LRRP. After reading many books i have gained a lot of respect for the discipline, courage and team loyalty practiced by all of the LRRPs. Lazlo Rebel is the perfect example of this. He sacrificed his life to save his team. Thanks LRRPs

  • @tacomamike1 same here 82nd ABN got my ticket to ride in 1970

  • What pussies. I could easily have done better.

  • respect just

  • I was a LRRP base camp An Khe from 1969 to 1971 if you would like to see some of the pictures I took check out the you tube brasso paint faces.

  • @Guns600 you really were?

    from holland

  • the CIA SOG had a 100% casualty rate.

  • My friends grandpa was a LRRP, he was a tough son of a Bitch

  • @Youngmarine0109

Your friends grandpa also took it up the shitter. Why did you decide to leave that little bit of info out? Rolled.

  • tight 360 stay lrrp stay alive

  • the "men with the green faces" were the Navy SEALs.

  • @daboodeef179 the narrator said men with painted faces

  • @Youngmarine0109 yeah, he said so. that term was used to described the navy seals but the green paint for camouflaging was not exclusively for the navy seals

  • @daboodeef179 the men with the painted faces were the men from the long range recce patrols- the lurps

  • @warriorsoul28 the guys with the steel pods, the rucksacks and m16s were the grunts

  • YEA baby! i am gonna be going to Benning in August for Cav Scout! i hope i get picked for LRRP haha!

  • @lvrpatriot01 lucky

  • at 01:20 is that Larry Chambers on training exercises????

  • @1140arturo I feel 100% bad for all the Vietnamese people who suffered when America started an unjust war and bombed, used chemical weapons like Vietnam was a fucking test lab, killed and raped.

If you could go back I hope they killed your ass bad because of your ignorance!

China makes the most shoes and look where they're at now, the world largest economy and growing making America scared....

  • I strongly recommend everybody here to save a litle cash and travel to Vietnam next vacation...I did and was an amazing experience. I found a lot o vet (both sides), but the war is past for then. They have a very beaultifull country. And all vietnamese are very, very friendly with the foreing, including from US. Accutally, the americans who visit Nam have a lot of respect for then. Well, this is my tip. Better then wach all this Nam videos is to be there!!! Respect both sides!!! Peace!!!

  • @buddiiee Last time I checked America lost the war... and yeah you killed 5 times as many because 4 of those 5 was civilians. Maybe 5 times as many because you used chemical warfare that is illegal? maybe because you used napalm that is inhuman and illegal? Maybe because of all the villages that got massacred by American forces?

Want to talk about corruption, eh? what started the war from the beginning?

  • @rydholm

I'm just coming into this now, but don't be a fucking idiot talking about "illegal" and "inhuman"....it's war. Get over it.

  • @EvolutionaryLoophole omfg even wars have rules, idiot!!

If you don't mind killing civilians for decades to come with chemical weapons let's bomb your town/whole of America with it and you can experiences that shit.. and then when you say it was inhumane and complain about severe birth defects in new born children and when your unable to eat your own produced food and most of the ecosystem collapsed.. we can say come on it's just war... don't be a fucking idiot!

  • @rydholm

I'm not saying it doesn't suck, I'm saying that complaining about inhumanity in war is silly. When locked in a total war there is no logical limit to the force that may be applied by one side. Don't be naive.

  • @EvolutionaryLoophole Naive? don't think I am the one being naive. I am not the one that think it's okay to chemical weapons against defenceless people that have to suffer through decades to come because of an unjust war...

If you can't handle a war playing by the rules you shouldn't start wars left and right...

  • @rydholm

I never said it was okay to use chemical weapons against civilians. Stop putting words in my mouth.

  • @buddiiee Sssshhhh. They are *no longer* around. That's what the government wants their enemies to believe. ;)

  • Doesn't matter how well trained these men were, the lesser trained Vietcong kicked Americas ass because they knew how to fight the right way!

  • Good to see the black icicle!!!

  • If your interested in Vietnam War or LRRPS, a must read is "Blood on the Risers", by John Leppelman.

  • these guys went hard in the paint!!!!!!

  • I served in the 20th SOS Green Hornets; we flew the LRRPS; they were the finest fighting force in the war....God Bless you Jerry Shriver....RIP.

  • Well k75romeofive, K Company was one sorry ass unit in Vietnam, except for a few men who have had their reputation tarnished because K co. had too many pot heads and runners, they were in the fucked up fourth, and were known for running.

  • @Carbine505 Spoken like a true REMF and Sagion MACV Warrior. I'd hazard a guess and say the only time you left Base Camp was for R&R and returning to the States. I'd bet you came home with a chest full of I've been there medals of which 99% were written up by your roommate after you wrote him one.

  • One inaccuracy should be noted, the LRRP's still exist to a certain extent, I belong to an NG unit that is a LRS (long range Surveillance) all members required to be airborne/ranger qual. so they are still around.

  • Sorry to hear that, also read a book called stolen valors, now who in their mind would want to be a fraud CMH recipient.

  • While this documentary seems very accurate and well done, it is important to clarify that the first guy to speak, Robert Stack, is a fraud. He was not a LRRP as he claims and was removed from the 75th Ranger Regiment association. He has a history of impersonation including his claim to have been a K company 75th Inf Rangers.
