Yes you are. You are basically the cancer that infests the globe.
It was your business till you bombed the entire region into anarchy, and now it aint. Fuck you asshole. Neither was it a problem to conjure up fairy tales about WMDs.
@trakomako Those bad things fucked up the world economy and killed millions of innocent people but whatever...why would it be better to live in the us than in S. Korea?? I find that example interesting.
4:12 says it all. And true, this reform bill leaves much to be desired, and if like everything else in this country, the insurers will actually benefit from it in spite of the original intent of reform.
The thing is, we have to start somewhere, and because there are so many political prostitutes in Congress, it's going to have to be an incremental effort over many years. If we'd started in the '90s or much earlier, we'd be there now.
wealth isn't free, IT REQUIRES SOMETHING IN RETURN. "To whom much is given, much is required", and when our government regulations get stiffer and reflect that obligation, this country will become fairer and more wealthy for EVERYBODY, not just the 1 percent at the top.
Greed is one of the seven deadly sins, and the US is paying the price. It's so simple, a child could grasp it. Greed blinds people, and it's got to stop, NOW!
EVERYBODY: See my video response directed at Dick Armey for his lies and greed. He heads Freedom Works, which is trying to buy more of the same, more greed and less fairness for WE THE PEOPLE. He's as anti-American as it gets. He's a traitor.
Michael Moore is a TRUE patriot. Business in this country is out of control, and we WILL put a stop to it, else we'll have no country left.
Congratulations US on the health care bill. I think a country can be viewed on how it treats its ill folk no matter if they are rich or poor. Watch M-Moore Sicko to see what I mean. Speaking as an Englishman I can say I am so proud of my health care which although isnt perfect is something I would rather have than have not. If I ever was diagnosed with a terminal disease I know I would not die alone, in fear & in pain. I think today the US edged closer to the ideal of being humanitarian
Thanks, mate! It's not the perfect package, but it's a small bit of progress. Me mum remained a British subject all her life, and had to return to England to get a proper diagnosis for her CMT. She never paid a dime in taxes in England, but still got proper care! She never worked outside the home, but she still deserved health care for all her hard work maintaining a home. She would have been 78 yesterday, lost her five years ago.
I don't know i'm not the government am I? In my opinion it should be around 50%. This whole illusion that these people at the top work hard to support themselves is ludicrous. There is nothing hard about stealing other people's money and gambling with it.
Say people who earn £250,000 a year get charged 50% tax. Oh the poor darlings, however will they survive on £125,000 a year? Not everyone has the ability to start their own business, go to college etc. We all need people to make our cars, our computers, work in shops etc. I'm not saying these people should get paid millions, just a wage that they can live comfortably on. All most people want is a decent house, food, safety and a few little luxuries. Everyone in the world can have that.
People with the attitude of the guy above are ignorant fools. They think all people who don't work are just lazy bastards and this isn't the case. If an economy can't provide enough jobs for people to work (in the UK there's 5 million who don't work and only 600,000 jobs) what do we do with these people? Let them starve and be homeless? This is completely immoral .
LOL bit of a rant but I study social policy so i'm a bit passionate about this sort of thing!
It's called caring for those less well off in your society and redistributing wealth amongst the people of that society. Don't worry though, you're American so I don't expect you to get it.
It's called spending money on military infrastructure and R&D, instead of leeching off of the United States umbrella of blood and treasure, to ward off Nazis and Communists. How's that Concorde program going?
Leeching of US blood and treasure? You listening to yourself? I couldn't give a fuck about your blood and treasure. Fending off Nazis and Commies? Yeah, funny how you entered WW2 when it suited you, and funny how you totally failed to fend off Commies in Vietnam.
Your empire is dying, just like ours did. It's China's turn now, get used to it fuck face :-D
Commie! LMFAO! I fucking love you dumb yanks. More concerned with spending money on military (destruction) rather investing in decent public services . Massively ignorant of the facts.
Lemme get this straight. You're quite comfortable with the fact that your govnt (and mine) have given billions in tax revenue to banks who caused a massive collapse resulting in mass unemployment and job loss?
What's this? govnt intervention in the economy? and yet you call me the "commie" lol.
right on,Chunk, it's funny how "socialism" is fine &dandy when it serves the wealthy, but never when it serves WE THE PEOPLE. There is a price attached to profits - it's the responsibility of those blessed with the oppty. to make wealth to make sure the rest of the citienry &the country remains strong &healthy. Greed will be our downfall, it nearly is now. It must stop, Wall Street can collapse now so that investors will have to WORK for their money instead of expecting money to work for them!
Tell me something, do you also think it's fair for people to work full time jobs, then do another job in the evening and still not have enough money to make ends meet? As long as you're alright though eh? Fuck all these poor people, it's their fault they're poor, right?
Chunk, you're 100% right, but remember please don't use profanity, don't sink to that level, it reduces your argument. Your argument alone is valid enough without that emphasis, and it only makes our side look bad! I know too well how difficult it is to resist that urge, esp. in view of all the lies being spread. Just keep strong and keep up the good arguments, keep spreading the truth!! :)
Yeah, I shouldn't have sounded off like that. I was, and am still having, a bit of a shit time and the Internet is some times a good place to rage at the world!
I just get so angry at the massive suffering in the world caused by people with the attitude of machaeroguy. It's not too hard to fix but I have no power, none of us do. But you're right, it lessens my argument when I swear like that.
I refer you to this song, it's very appropriate and very true.
Fuck you punk, for saying I share an attitude which contributes to your suffering. You have no idea what freedom is all about. Do you actually have any comprehension of the when, how, and why, the United States shook off the "The government has all the answers", mentality?"
Have fun with your disarmed populace, never having a say again, which way government shall swerve your national fate. Also, enjoy the radical theocrats your Union is so fond of importing. Thx for helping destroy any of my friends, true champions of liberty and individual choice remaining, in your now overrun homeland.
I am eternally glad the populace I live in is unarmed. We still have rising gun crime but it's way, way, way waaaay, less than yours (20 odd thousand deaths a year I believe?). I have about as much say in the UK as you do in your country - fuck all. You have no radical theocrats in the USA? Really? Last time I looked the USA has a larger Muslim population than the UK.
My overrun homeland? overrun with whom/what exactly?
Yeah and look where it's got you? A nation that has lower literacy rates and poorer health care than that bane of your existence, Cuba.
You do have the attitude that has got the world into the terrible mess it's in because you have this "Oh fuck everyone else, it's their fault they're poor, as long as i'm alright" attitude.
You have a very ethnocentric view, you seem to think there isn't much of a world outside the USA.
Liberty isn't free, and speaking of liberty, corporate America takes way too many liberties, and that's the cause of our country's economic issues, which then help to tear down society, morals, etc.
Many people lose hope when they see business acting immorally, and often they give up struggling to survive and commit crimes or lose their minds.
That is the legacy of the right and much of corporate entities. Why do you support that?
ChunderChunk said : "It's not too hard to fix but I have no power, none of us do"
Why the fuck don't you think decent people have any power?...oh, I know...it's because of a lot of dolts like you who advocate the government controlling the most intimate details of our personal lives.
You have a very skillful knack of misrepresenting everything I say, i'll give you that much. I don't advocate government controlling every aspect of our lives. I do advocate a decent welfare system that cares for the most vulnerable people in society and provides for those people excluded from the system.
That's okay Chunk, I get just as angry at the same things. I often wonder about the type of person that machaeroguy seems to be. It's as if they have a huge interest in something we don't know about due to internet anonymity. But you can often read through it all. I understand his wanting to reduce govt., but until the private sector behaves itself, it's just too darn bad if the government has to step in and try to fix it all. peace to you too, thanks for the vid.
If you want, look up Ron Paul, and my opinions on bailouts, foreign policy, etc. are 95% in line with his.
I for one, would have given two shits if you were run over by the Wehrmacht.
And the reason ppl have to work two jobs to make ends meet, in the first place, is because of central banking, and sheep like yourself who support central economic planning. Big government has fucked up the US, and thus the UK economy....
...Now you just want to add some more government with some elaborate wealth redistribution scheme. You're just piling shit on top of shit.
Fucking Stalinist eggheads, all fucking think you're smart enough to predict the needs and wants of millions of people, and are just wasting more resources on bureaucracy.
I'm must be selfish because I tutor math twice a week, and help my church in food drives.
You're a dick and no mistake. The UK wlefare system lifted millions out of poverty, it's only going wrong because it's begining to be privatised. I'm fully aware of what Laissez Faire is, it's precisely why we're in this mess.
Welfare doesn't equal communism you fucking moron. You're religious? then you're irrational, full stop. I bet you think 9/11 was an inside job too eh? Knob jockey.
Predicting that all people need shelter and food is hardly a bad prediction now is it?
Ron Paul is a huge gaping asshole by the way. He supports the dismantling of Social Services or wants to exclude anyone who hasn't paid into it.
So this means orphans, disabled people, widows, immigrants (despite them propping up your economy) don't get a look in. He supports an individualistic manner of doing things that is morally repugnant. If you support individualism then you might as well completely dismantle society and the nation state.
You're completely wrong, altho I commend U4 volunteering, I do PLENTY of it myself becuz it's the right thing to do. &the right thing to do in the US is to make the wealthy &business pay 4the privilege of the wealth they get off the backs of the working class. I was a Libertarian once,no more. It's nothing but a tool 2further more of the same greed &profiteering off the basic needs of humans, which is the def.of fascism.
The wealthy&business MUSTpay, because that's the price of doing business.
I understand your sentiments based on your comment towards me and the one above concerning socialism. Yes, Republicans whine about lower-class socialism, and ignore corporate welfare, etc. As a former Libertarian, you should know we condemn all benefits provided to the wealthy by government as well. As a matter of fact, libertarians in general are the only ones exposing that most of today's monopolies are PRODUCED by government intervention, not regulated by the same.
Here's some facts for you. It will cost $40 billion a year for 10 years to provide basic health, nutrition, sanitation, clean water, education and sexual health to every person on this planet. Preventing millions of death per year, particularly infants. This means the end of absolute global poverty.
USA spends $42 billion a year on pizza and pet food. Would you begrudge spending an extra $ tax every time you stuff your stupid fat face with pizza or your dog's face to end poverty?
Tell 'em, Chunk!! Funny how those who live to excess resent the smallest morsel for those whose hard work provided the wealth to the 1% who own it all.
It all floats up from the working class to the upper class, no such thing as trickle-down economics.
Just to prove i'm not some dirty commie making this all up.
Google "undp total for basic social services 40 billion"
Look at the "International Day for the Eradication of Poverty" link and read it. This is research my university carried out for the UN. You'll find the figures there.
Just imagine that if the corporate welfare in this country were done away with, there would be virtually no need for any type of welfare for the common people.
Pandering to the business sector has created the devastation we face, &permits that sector to spit in the faces of the people.
Regulation is needed, &needed to the point of severity, because the private sector cannot handle its affairs honestly &they need to pay the price -- &the people need to be protected from more of the same.
Spot on. I was disgusted by corporate welfare before the bailouts. Now, I am livid.
I just can't emphasize how much I want to see all corporate welfare done away with. Eliminating the sugar tariff would be a great start, but most ppl don't see how this hurts the American consumer.
I also think that eliminating welfare for lower classes is ridiculous in the face of the monster corporate welfare has created.
I agree, but I'd like to know more about the sugar tariff, it's one issue I've not dug into very extensively. If you have a concise reference I can see, send me the link in a PM or a video thru YT mail if possible. So much to read and keep up with, if I google it I'll get lost in the cascade of refrences!
I too saw all this coming decades before we got here! Why do so few people see the steamroller headed straigth for them?! We are the anthill, the pwoerful are the steamroller.
You're wrong, mister. Health care isn't about profit, and IT'S NOT OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, all money floats UP from the working class to the upper class, and how soon the upper class forgets. The price of freedom is not free, it includes the profiteers' obligation to help sustain health and a strong economy, none of which the private sector does. They only fill their own pockets and don't care about WE THE PEOPLE. Stop giving them the rope to hang us with, wake up. They don't care about you.
if you do something to cause the death of someone that's called murder hence the health insurance companies personnel in charge of denying claims need to be convicted of murder and executed
Moore is exactly correct that capitalism is an utter failure.
Paul is exactly correct that government is an utter failure.
But are those the only 2 choices we have? Humans need food, water, clothing, shelter, education, medicine, energy, transportation. We have ALL the resources and knowledge to provide all that and more in abundance for everyone on earth.
No government or monetary system will ever provide this, only SHARING of resources and technology will make this a reality.
Capitalism is the accumulation of resources by ANY means necessary.
The bottom line is that we as humans have needs, and the earth has resources and we have technology to fulfill those needs.
Is a system where everyone is fighting for those resources, manipulating each other, producing duplicates or pure junk, killing each other, the "BEST" we can do??
Or maybe if we pool our resources and technology we might be able to supply an abundance of all our needs, and also our wants.
you are correct. But Here is how it is all tied together. GREED. Greed has ruined it all. More, faster, easier. They started trading comodities futures driving the price up on good like water, clothing, shelter, medicine, envergy and so on. Look at oil. They said if you can't afford the buy gas for $4 a gallon, drive less. What it comes down to is greed, money. There is nothing wrong with being rich. But these guys didnt get rich by working, they just shift numbers and collect bonus.
You are exactly correct, NONE of the really rich people work for anything, they just manipulate and control the system. They benefit everyone else suffers.
The difficult thing to get people to realize is that the 'greed' is just a symptom of the monetary system, too. We can only change the greedy behavior by changing the ENVIRONMENT in which we live.
Sharing resources and producing ABUNDANCE eliminates greed (and most crime) because everyone has access to whatever they need.
Micheal moore is a big fat hypocrite, if he is such a smart commie bastard why doesn't he give his movies away for free, or at least give away all the money made form them.
So he makes millions of dollars and pretends to be anti-capitalist. Doesn't give away the movies on the internet or the capital made from them and I'm the one with my head up my ass?
I'm not sure I ever heard him ever profess that he's a communist. What I think he's trying to get at is that capitalism isn't capable at solving every ail in society.
Especially not as long as we humans are willing to do ANYTHING to each other in order to increase profit margins.
The fact is that, if done right, universal health care would make private health insurance completely redundant and the private companies knows this. That's why they don't want it in the US.
I don't think there is any problem capitalism can't solve, I haven't seen any socialist/communist governments do it yet, we have the best system in the world(and i dont care what the WHO ranks us as it, although it does rank us as having one of the best response systems in the world). I don't want the government as my doctor.
The WHO is basing its figures on mortality rates and such. Figures don't lie. It's great that you think you have the best system in the whole world but America is also a democracy - and I think its people spoke load and clear that they wanted change when voting for Obama.
On another note though - why would you rather have a profit driven conglomerate (who makes medical decisions based on how much money they can make off of you rather then your well-being) be your "doctor" then the government?
Then they say "Why should I pay for someone else's healthcare who doesn't want to work?"
My response is usually something like "Why should I pay for a military that's fighting a war I don't want to protect a bunch of people I don't like" and as I say that I point at them ;)
They also pay for the uninsured's healthcare with ever increasing premiums. Nothing is free and the insurance companies and health providers sure aren't going to take care of people for free.
They don't have a problem spending their tax dollars to fund wars, so the poor can die for them.
They only want government out of their way so they can then economically rape the poor and middle class.
I'm talking about those on the Right who are in the Top 20% of wealth and income. Who cares what some dumb poor Kool-aid drinker thinks, I guess they like getting raped, I don't know.
If America was functioning today as it was during its creation, the States would all be liable for paying taxes to the Federal Government and each State would have into itself a tax code as decided by the ones elected into the State Government...the Federal Government would have NO tax revenue from the individual.
Also, this would give the power where it belongs...the People, then the STATE, then the Federal Government.
This would in itself limit Federal Government drastically.
I used to blindly believe all the BS you are spouting. Then I realized propaganda in MSM was effecting my brain. They always give you 2 options as if there is only 2.
For instance, they tell you it is either capitalism or socialism but they are both symptoms of the monetary system. They get everyone fighting for 2 bad things without ever looking at the ROOT cause of the problems.
There are alternatives to the monetary system, which puts PEOPLE'S NEEDS first. One starving child is failure.
...alternative, which is fluent under true capitalism, is voluntary charity.
only 1/10 of all the money the government steals from us to be put into worthless, failures of social programs could be put to good use through voluntary charity...locally and nationwide.
The charity that is people giving time and effort to help other people is great.
The foundations and so-called charity organizations, on the other hand, are nothing more than places where rich people funnel their money to avoid things like taxes.
As I have been saying ALL monetary aspects of institutions are the ROOT PROBLEM. Money, capitalism and governments are obsolete.
The only way to prosperity is by SHARING all earth's resources and creating automated systems to supply our needs.
I agree with you about the size and scope of the federal government, but I also believe that the government has a role in providing for the general welfare of it's citizens. If the States and municipalities can meet this provision ,so be it.
Taxes will still have to be levied, regardless.
Personally, I believe in taxing wealth rather than income. also taxing consumption rather than production.
while providing for the "General Welfare"...the Government cannot impose upon our Rights as Individuals, one of those being the Right to unlimited contract...which is a Right reserved to you and your doctor...meaning that this Healthcare nonsense...it is unconstitutional.
Also, the term General explicitly means EVERYONE in the nation...not leaving out 1 person.
These bills they are pushing leave out millions...therefore, again, unconstitutional.
Moore looks old man, he's got a turkey neck. Other than that Moore is right about healthcare reform. We have free market economics in the UK and universal healthcare. Socialised healthcare doesn't equal Hitler just like tax funded military and roads doesn't equal Stalin. Grow up America. Moore is also right about gettin money out of politics
Other than that Moore is a lying anti capitalist left wing demagogue who openly supports jihadists and lies compulsivley He lets us all down with his lies
We will never have enough food, water, energy or health care until we redesign our world to look at ALL people's needs over a FEW people's profits.
The government is NOT the answer either. All governments are bought and paid for by the international bankers and corporations.
We need to look at the ROOT CAUSE of all these problems and that is the monetary system. The only REAL question is do we have the resources and technology to create an abundance of life's necessities, YES WE DO!
I did hear about this concept in ZG but also thought about it and researched it on my own.
The good news is that the whole monetary system (the ROOT of all our problems) is fake, on paper or in computers. We could end it tomorrow if we wanted. The only control the elite have over us is what we give them.
Sharing of resources and technology, and creating automated systems to produce all the world's necessities is the only route to prosperity. Just think about it.
Capitalism is fine but it should not have anything to do with our health care. The insurance companies are only middle men and provide no health care services at all. They need to go.I don't care what their profits are its what they cost us that matters.None of the insurance companies have any true value at all. We should pool all our insurance dollars in funds belonging to the people. Same goes for the banking industry.
Technology has passed these industries by and we no longer need them.
Moore is an idiot. He knows nothing about economics. Filling the GDP with credit to make it look like a increase is false. You have to pay that back and there is no production in this country to fill that.
When people hear these health care numbers, they've got to remember what our budget priorities are. Over the same time period, the Department of Defense is going to spend about $7 TRILLION dollars. And the Republicans want that number to be increased because there are so many corrupt military contractors who would like to build infinitely expensive weapon systems that don't work.
Are you saying no one should pay attention to people who are fat and believe in capitalism? That's probably a pretty large percentage of the American people, actually.
Mr. Moore should investigate Medicare. According to the AMA's 2008 report card on insurers, Medicare has the highest percent of claim denials. And it doesn't make a profit.
Social Security and Medicare are both government approve Ponzi schemes larger that Madoff can imagine...difference, he goes to jail for theft...the US Government tells us everything is okay and we believe.
If this country doesnt get rid of Social Security and Medicare outright, it will be the downfall of America.
Insurance companies make roughly a 2.5% profit...tupperware makes way more, do you suppose we get rid of tupperware?
Social security was projected to be solvent for 30+ years, until the GOP started using the funds as general funds. I remember Al Gore saying we should put SS in a "lockbox", Limbaugh et al had fun with that one.
When I used to work, I grossed $1400/week, my Medicare tax was $13,BCBS was $96.
They could raise the Medicare Tax $2/week on everybody and the problem would be solved.
But read your lips, No new Taxes, they can raise pvt insurance premiums all they want, but taxes,oh noo.
seeing as Social Security and Medicare are both immoral and unconstitutional, why would it be okay then to raise taxes to support such a cause?
You are stealing money from one individual, promising him an I.O.U. of future payment in return, and giving this stolen wage to another individual who did not earn this wage.
Do you see the problem here? we have created a society of people who feel that the Government is here solely to provide their every want and need...ridiculous.
I would tend to agree with you, but today, in America, it is pretty much impossible to ever expect to retire (for most people in my age range anyway - 20 to 30 years). Companies simply do not provide anything to employees any more. You can't expect a pension, you can't even expect a wage that can support you, let alone allow for any savings.
the problem isnt the Company as you point out, the problem is our ever expanding Government (Local and National)...it costs a company 3-4 times what they pay you to employ you...how is that reasonable?
If the governments take into the Company and into the Market were removed ... you could afford more than you want on a decent salary and save for a comfortable retirement.
Our tax system is whack...the fees assessed for everyday life are whack...Government IS the problem in todays economy.
Great points, I would tend to agree, but again, I have worked for more than one major corporation, where the CEO is making BILLIONS of dollars, and even my superiors are making scraps. I don't agree with income taxes as they are used today, I don't like big government, but what I HATE is fascism (corporatism).
Personally, i have no problem with a CEO making hand over fist money seeing as they deserve their cut of profit, if the company pulls a nice profits and provides a great service...
Fascism is what you get when you give the control to the government, they in turn look to the largest donors of campaign finances to dictate the rules and regulations of the individual markets they are in...
Why i say, Government IS the problem...
if the people dictate the rules of the market, no Fascism.
I have a BIG problem when a ceo makes 100k an hour while his company hasn't done what they're supposed to do: make a profit. Bailouts are anti-capitalistic. Competition weeds out the weak for a reason. When a company fails, they should move out of the way and allow for smaller more aggressive companies to take over.
I don't have a problem with Bill Gates' billions, no one is forced to buy Microsoft products.
A person's health is a different matter altogether. The CEO of United Health should not have accumulated $700 million in five years, simply by raising premiums and denying claims.
Maybe you think a person's health is optional, like buying a computer, I don't know.
Do you know what the country was like during the Great Depression? Is that the country you want?
1) I do feel that your health is optional if that is the way the YOU want to carry out your lifestyle and priorities...bu, i dont feel that other American taxpayers should pick up your tab.
2) CEO's making 700 million is fine by me so long as he is providing the coverage that is within the contract provided to the individual, if he denies coverage on something that is to be covered under contract...he should go to jail...
But, if the Federal Reserve and the Progressives stay in power as they are...we are all but certain to have another Great Depression.
Progressivism drove us into the Great Depression...made the Great Depression last longer...and will ultimately drive America into another, possibly worse, Great Depression seeing as the value of the Dollar is shit and Americans are retaining less money from the Government than than ever before.
OK I embellished, but Reagan did blow up the debt.1913-$2B -(The Fed created) 1920-$27B (WWI) 1940-$72 B 1942-$200B (WWII spending) 1963- $305B 1971-$400B (VietNam) 1980-$900B 1988-$2.8 Trillion. Carter added $300 billlion and Reagan added $2 Trillion, They both sucked. The bulk of our overall debt is Military spending. Unfortunately, Obama seems to be more of the same. Where do I sign up for the NWO? I want to be on the winning team.
the propblem we have here in America all starts with the creation of the FED...they have devalued the dollar to a point that the initial 2 Billion you mention is more along the lines of 200 Billion now due to the inflation process of keeping the interest rates low in times when they should be high, take now for instance, and in the process of over printing money for unnecessary govt spending, take now for instance.
Individuals need to be held accoutnable for themselves..it is THEIR Responsibility, not mine, to assure that they are feed, clothed, housed, have a cell phone, go to the doctor, etc.
If the US Government would get back to its role in our Society, the citizens would be better off wealth wise and could afford to take care of their responsibilities with little if any help from voluntary charity; but...no, we have Power hungry idiots in office that could give two shits about mine and yours lives.
Why is he confusing? because he is saying that The Western government should have its own people's interests at heart. Yes i agree maybe the west is a little insane its like they do not want the wealth, healthcare and opportunities to be distributed equally. You are so used to being duped it confusing ehh.
I like Michael Moore a lot but his sucking Obama's dick as he does, rather than holding his feet to the fire for not delivering on his campaign promises and being GW Bush II, is getting really irritating.
The fact that Bush got re-elected only reflects on those that ride the line between sanity and insanity.(aka swing voters).
I don't believe that the majority of people in this country are insane, they're just lazy and apathetic.(sheep). They allow the insane to set the agenda.
But let the shit get bad enough and the sane will eventually have to get off their collective asses.
Yes you are. You are basically the cancer that infests the globe.
It was your business till you bombed the entire region into anarchy, and now it aint. Fuck you asshole. Neither was it a problem to conjure up fairy tales about WMDs.
Do everyone a favor and get the fuck out.

I think today the US edged closer to the ideal of being humanitarian
videomonkey2009 2 years ago
Thanks, mate! It's not the perfect package, but it's a small bit of progress. Me mum remained a British subject all her life, and had to return to England to get a proper diagnosis for her CMT. She never paid a dime in taxes in England, but still got proper care! She never worked outside the home, but she still deserved health care for all her hard work maintaining a home. She would have been 78 yesterday, lost her five years ago.
Blessings to you across the pond!

Michael Moore - "People that work hard to support themselves should donate 90% of their income to people who do not work"
Pvtjamesryan2 2 years ago
Wow. What a massive misunderstanding and outright misrepresentation of what Moore says. You should go into politics.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
So what % is it?
machaeroguy 2 years ago
I don't know i'm not the government am I? In my opinion it should be around 50%. This whole illusion that these people at the top work hard to support themselves is ludicrous. There is nothing hard about stealing other people's money and gambling with it.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Say people who earn £250,000 a year get charged 50% tax. Oh the poor darlings, however will they survive on £125,000 a year? Not everyone has the ability to start their own business, go to college etc. We all need people to make our cars, our computers, work in shops etc. I'm not saying these people should get paid millions, just a wage that they can live comfortably on. All most people want is a decent house, food, safety and a few little luxuries. Everyone in the world can have that.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
With the weatlh that flows around this planet.

ChunderChunk 2 years ago
It's called spending money on military infrastructure and R&D, instead of leeching off of the United States umbrella of blood and treasure, to ward off Nazis and Communists. How's that Concorde program going?
machaeroguy 2 years ago
Leeching of US blood and treasure? You listening to yourself? I couldn't give a fuck about your blood and treasure. Fending off Nazis and Commies? Yeah, funny how you entered WW2 when it suited you, and funny how you totally failed to fend off Commies in Vietnam.
Your empire is dying, just like ours did. It's China's turn now, get used to it fuck face :-D
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Yes, it's very easy to care with other peoples' money. Make a good point that doesn't include armed robbery, or STFU commie.
machaeroguy 2 years ago
Commie!
ChunderChunk 2 years ago 2
right on,Chunk, it's funny how "socialism" is fine &dandy when it serves the wealthy, but never when it serves WE THE PEOPLE.
Ermengarde11 2 years ago
Tell me something, do you also think it's fair for people to work full time jobs, then do another job in the evening and still not have enough money to make ends meet? As long as you're alright though eh? Fuck all these poor people, it's their fault they're poor, right?
Open your fucking eyes you ignorant cunt.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Chunk, you're 100% right, but remember please don't use profanity, don't sink to that level, it reduces your argument. Your argument alone is valid enough without that emphasis, and it only makes our side look bad! I know too well how difficult it is to resist that urge, esp. in view of all the lies being spread. Just keep strong and keep up the good arguments, keep spreading the truth!! :)
Ermengarde11 2 years ago
Yeah, I shouldn't have sounded off like that. I was, and am still having, a bit of a shit time and the Internet is some times a good place to rage at the world!
I just get so angry at the massive suffering in the world caused by people with the attitude of machaeroguy. It's not too hard to fix but I have no power, none of us do. But you're right, it lessens my argument when I swear like that.
I refer you to this song, it's very appropriate and very true.

ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Fuck you punk, for saying I share an attitude which contributes to your suffering. You have no idea what freedom is all about. Do you actually have any comprehension of the when, how, and why, the United States shook off the "The government has all the answers", mentality?"
machaeroguy 2 years ago
Have fun with your disarmed populace, never having a say again, which way government shall swerve your national fate. Also, enjoy the radical theocrats your Union is so fond of importing. Thx for helping destroy any of my friends, true champions of liberty and individual choice remaining, in your now overrun homeland.
machaeroguy 2 years ago
I am eternally glad the populace I live in is unarmed. We still have rising gun crime but it's way, way, way waaaay, less than yours (20 odd thousand deaths a year I believe?). I have about as much say in the UK as you do in your country - fuck all. You have no radical theocrats in the USA? Really? Last time I looked the USA has a larger Muslim population than the UK.
My overrun homeland? overrun with whom/what exactly?
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Yeah and look where it's got you? A nation that has lower literacy rates and poorer health care than that bane of your existence, Cuba.
You do have the attitude that has got the world into the terrible mess it's in because you have this "Oh fuck everyone else, it's their fault they're poor, as long as i'm alright" attitude.
You have a very ethnocentric view, you seem to think there isn't much of a world outside the USA.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
"Freedom" is for animals. Liberty is for people.
Ermengarde11 2 years ago
ChunderChunk said : "It's not too hard to fix but I have no power, none of us do"
Why the fuck don't you think decent people have any power?...oh, I know...it's because of a lot of dolts like you who advocate the government controlling the most intimate details of our personal lives.
machaeroguy 2 years ago
You have a very skillful knack of misrepresenting everything I say, i'll give you that much. I don't advocate government controlling every aspect of our lives. I do advocate a decent welfare system that cares for the most vulnerable people in society and provides for those people excluded from the system.
You seem to be against all these principles.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
That's okay Chunk, I get just as angry at the same things. I often wonder about the type of person that machaeroguy seems to be. It's as if they have a huge interest in something we don't know about due to internet anonymity. But you can often read through it all. I understand his wanting to reduce govt., but until the private sector behaves itself, it's just too darn bad if the government has to step in and try to fix it all. peace to you too, thanks for the vid.
Ermengarde11 2 years ago
I'll say one more thing.
You're a selfish cunt of the highest order, one who has no idea of the concept of society. I hope your country eats itself.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
If you want, look up Ron Paul, and my opinions on bailouts, foreign policy, etc. are 95% in line with his.
I for one, would have given two shits if you were run over by the Wehrmacht.
And the reason ppl have to work two jobs to make ends meet, in the first place, is because of central banking, and sheep like yourself who support central economic planning. Big government has fucked up the US, and thus the UK economy....
machaeroguy 2 years ago
...Now you just want to add some more government with some elaborate wealth redistribution scheme.
Don't blame me, I voted Libertarian.
Look up Laissez Faire for Christ's sake, pinhead
machaeroguy 2 years ago
You're a dick and no mistake. The UK wlefare system lifted millions out of poverty, it's only going wrong because it's begining to be privatised. I'm fully aware of what Laissez Faire is, it's precisely why we're in this mess.
Welfare doesn't equal communism you fucking moron. You're religious? then you're irrational, full stop. I bet you think 9/11 was an inside job too eh? Knob jockey.
Predicting that all people need shelter and food is hardly a bad prediction now is it?
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Ron Paul is a huge gaping asshole by the way. He supports the dismantling of Social Services or wants to exclude anyone who hasn't paid into it.
So this means orphans, disabled people, widows, immigrants (despite them propping up your economy) don't get a look in. He supports an individualistic manner of doing things that is morally repugnant. If you support individualism then you might as well completely dismantle society and the nation state.
ChunderChunk 2 years ago
You're completely wrong, altho I commend U4 volunteering, I do PLENTY of it myself becuz it's the right thing to do. &the right thing to do in the US is to make the wealthy &business pay 4the privilege of the wealth they get off the backs of the working class. I was a Libertarian once,no more. It's nothing but a tool 2further more of the same greed &profiteering off the basic needs of humans, which is the def.of fascism.
The wealthy&business MUSTpay, because that's the price of doing business.
Ermengarde11 2 years ago
@ Ermengarde11

ChunderChunk 2 years ago
Tell 'em, Chunk!! Funny how those who live to excess resent the smallest morsel for those whose hard work provided the wealth to the 1% who own it all.
It all floats up from the working class to the upper class, no such thing as trickle-down economics.

Ermengarde11 2 years ago 2
@ Ermengarde11 regarding corporate welfare.
I advocate a fair, incremental approach.
machaeroguy 2 years ago
I agree, but I'd like to know more about the sugar tariff, it's one issue I've not dug into very extensively. If you have a concise reference I can see, send me the link in a PM or a video thru YT mail if possible. So much to read and keep up with, if I google it I'll get lost in the cascade of refrences!
I too saw all this coming decades before we got here! Why do so few people see the steamroller headed straigth for them?! We are the anthill, the pwoerful are the steamroller.
Ermengarde11 2 years ago
You're wrong, mister. Health care isn't about profit, and IT'S NOT OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, all money floats UP from the working class to the upper class, and how soon the upper class forgets. The price of freedom is not free, it includes the profiteers' obligation to help sustain health and a strong economy, none of which the private sector does. They only fill their own pockets and don't care about WE THE PEOPLE. Stop giving them the rope to hang us with, wake up. They don't care about you.

No government or monetary system will ever provide this, only SHARING of resources and technology will make this a reality.
jgaltut 2 years ago
sorry...we dont have Capitalism.
we have Fascism, nothing near Capitalism...so, Capitalism has not failed.
helltrackrider 2 years ago
Capitalism is the accumulation of resources by ANY means necessary.
The bottom line is that we as humans have needs, and the earth has resources and we have technology to fulfill those needs.
Is a system where everyone is fighting for those resources, manipulating each other, producing duplicates or pure junk, killing each other, the "BEST" we can do??
Or maybe if we pool our resources and technology we might be able to supply an abundance of all our needs, and also our wants.
jgaltut 2 years ago
you are correct. But these guys didnt get rich by working, they just shift numbers and collect bonus.
leykisfan1 2 years ago
You are exactly correct, NONE of the really rich people work for anything, they just manipulate and control the system. They benefit everyone else suffers.
The difficult thing to get people to realize is that the 'greed' is just a symptom of the monetary system, too. We can only change the greedy behavior by changing the ENVIRONMENT in which we live.
Sharing resources and producing ABUNDANCE eliminates greed (and most crime) because everyone has access to whatever they need.

That's why they don't want it in the US.
titovalasques 2 years ago
I don't think there is any problem capitalism can't solve, I haven't seen any socialist/communist governments do it yet, we have the best system in the world(and i dont care what the WHO ranks us as it, although it does rank us as having one of the best response systems in the world). I don't want the government as my doctor.
arkivx1 2 years ago
The WHO is basing its figures on mortality rates and such. Figures don't lie. It's great that you think you have the best system in the whole world but America is also a democracy - and I think its people spoke load and clear that they wanted change when voting for Obama.
On another note though - why would you rather have a profit driven conglomerate (who makes medical decisions based on how much money they can make off of you rather then your well-being) be your "doctor" then the government?

Whoever benefits from what the government provides. Shouldn't everyone who uses the Highways chip in?
How about food safety and safe water supply? Sewer and waste removal?
And on and on.
Shouldn't we all chip in?
The top tax rate was at a low of 25% for the 5 years prior to 1929,hat oughtto tell us something.
The Right says they should't have to pay for the poor, but they love to chip in for more police and prisons to house the poor, go figure.
wervasdeferens 2 years ago
Then they say "Why should I pay for someone else's healthcare who doesn't want to work?"
My response is usually something like "Why should I pay for a military that's fighting a war I don't want to protect a bunch of people I don't like" and as I say that I point at them ;)
LoryLandskipper 2 years ago 17
Exactly Lory, good on you!
They also pay for the uninsured's healthcare with ever increasing premiums. Nothing is free and the insurance companies and health providers sure aren't going to take care of people for free.
wervasdeferens 2 years ago

This would in itself limit Federal Government drastically.
helltrackrider 2 years ago
I used to blindly believe all the BS you are spouting. Then I realized propaganda in MSM was effecting my brain. They always give you 2 options as if there is only 2.
For instance, they tell you it is either capitalism or socialism but they are both symptoms of the monetary system. They get everyone fighting for 2 bad things without ever looking at the ROOT cause of the problems.
There are alternatives to the monetary system, which puts PEOPLE'S NEEDS first. One starving child is failure.
jgaltut 2 years ago
...alternative, which is fluent under true capitalism, is voluntary charity.
only 1/10 of all the money the government steals from us to be put into worthless, failures of social programs could be put to good use through voluntary charity...locally and nationwide.
helltrackrider 2 years ago
The charity that is people giving time and effort to help other people is great.
The foundations and so-called charity organizations, on the other hand, are nothing more than places where rich people funnel their money to avoid things like taxes.
As I have been saying ALL monetary aspects of institutions are the ROOT PROBLEM. Money, capitalism and governments are obsolete.
The only way to prosperity is by SHARING all earth's resources and creating automated systems to supply our needs.
jgaltut 2 years ago
I agree with you about the size and scope of the federal government, but I also believe that the government has a role in providing for the general welfare of it's citizens. If the States and municipalities can meet this provision ,so be it.
Taxes will still have to be levied, regardless.
Personally, I believe in taxing wealth rather than income. also taxing consumption rather than production.
We're on the same page pertaining to the FED.
Obama/Geithner/Summers- FED Inc.
wervasdeferens 2 years ago
while providing for the "General Welfare"...the Government cannot impose upon our Rights as Individuals, one of those being the Right to unlimited contract...which is a Right reserved to you and your doctor...meaning that this Healthcare nonsense...it is unconstitutional.
Also, the term General explicitly means EVERYONE in the nation...not leaving out 1 person.
These bills they are pushing leave out millions...therefore, again, unconstitutional.

The only REAL question is do we have the resources and technology to create an abundance of life's necessities, YES WE DO!
jgaltut 2 years ago 2
zeitgeist?!

Is Medicare supposed to make a profit? It's similar to a non-profit corporation.
The profit and overhead that private sector insurance companies make are what we can't afford. With Medicare, all the money goes to your doctor.
As far as I know, people are generally satisfied with Medicare.
Social Security also does not pile up huge profits. The money comes in and 99% of it goes right back out to the American people the same year.
(1% overhead)

Social Security and Medicare are both government approve Ponzi schemes larger that Madoff can imagine...difference, he goes to jail for theft...the US Government tells us everything is okay and we believe.
If this country doesnt get rid of Social Security and Medicare outright, it will be the downfall of America.
Insurance companies make roughly a 2.5% profit...tupperware makes way more, do you suppose we get rid of tupperware?
helltrackrider 2 years ago
Social security was projected to be solvent for 30+ years, until the GOP started using the funds as general funds. I remember Al Gore saying we should put SS in a "lockbox", Limbaugh et al had fun with that one.
When I used to work, I grossed $1400/week, my Medicare tax was $13,BCBS was $96.
They could raise the Medicare Tax $2/week on everybody and the problem would be solved.
But read your lips, No new Taxes, they can raise pvt insurance premiums all they want, but taxes,oh noo.
wervasdeferens 2 years ago
seeing as Social Security and Medicare are both immoral and unconstitutional, why would it be okay then to raise taxes to support such a cause?
You are stealing money from one individual, promising him an I.O.U. of future payment in return, and giving this stolen wage to another individual who did not earn this wage.
Do you see the problem here? we have created a society of people who feel that the Government is here solely to provide their every want and need...ridiculous.
helltrackrider 2 years ago

I don't agree with income taxes as they are used today, I don't like big government, but what I HATE is fascism (corporatism).
djzacmaniac 2 years ago

When a company fails, they should move out of the way and allow for smaller more aggressive companies to take over.

helltrackrider,
I don't have a problem with Bill Gates' billions, no one is forced to buy Microsoft products.
A person's health is a different matter altogether. The CEO of United Health should not have accumulated $700 million in five years, simply by raising premiums and denying claims.
Maybe you think a person's health is optional, like buying a computer, I don't know.
Do you know what the country was like during the Great Depression? Is that the country you want?
wervasdeferens 2 years ago
Two things...

And no, i dont want another Great Depression...
But, if the Federal Reserve and the Progressives stay in power as they are...we are all but certain to have another Great Depression.
Progressivism drove us into the Great Depression...made the Great Depression last longer...and will ultimately drive America into another, possibly worse, Great Depression seeing as the value of the Dollar is shit and Americans are retaining less money from the Government than than ever before.

helltrackrider,
You make good points.
Please research, "the historical marginal corporate and individual tax rates" and "the historical income disparity"
If you do this, notice the pattern of the lowering of taxes and the subsequent crashes.
Also note the 40 years of sustainable growth between the GD and now. And note the disparity of income prior to the GD and now.
Government spending on WWII and Infrastructure got us out of the GOP GD.
We were paying back that debt, until Reagan.

agree 100%...
the propblem we have here in America all starts with the creation of the FED...they have devalued the dollar to a point that the initial 2 Billion you mention is more along the lines of 200 Billion now due to the inflation process of keeping the interest rates low in times when they should be high, take now for instance, and in the process of over printing money for unnecessary govt spending, take now for instance.
Remove the FED and we remove 80% of the problem

Individuals need to be held accoutnable for themselves..it is THEIR Responsibility, not mine, to assure that they are feed, clothed, housed, have a cell phone, go to the doctor, etc.
If the US Government would get back to its role in our Society, the citizens would be better off wealth wise and could afford to take care of their responsibilities with little if any help from voluntary charity; but...no, we have Power hungry idiots in office that could give two shits about mine and yours lives.

ReliableInsider, Well, it shouldn't be trillions of dollars in debt. If it broke even, that'd be fine.
What about the claim denials in the report card, though?

The ones who are profiting (benefiting) are the beneficiaries and the nation as a whole.
There is nothing evil about profit. It's just not necessary for an organization to function.
Truly great newspapers typically operate at a loss for generation after generation.

Michael Moore
is realy confusing to me now
ic300x 2 years ago
Why is he confusing? because he is saying that The Western government should have its own people's interests at heart. Yes i agree maybe the west is a little insane its like they do not want the wealth, healthcare and opportunities to be distributed equally. You are so used to being duped it confusing ehh.
Unity4allhumans 2 years ago
I like Michael Moore a lot but his sucking Obama's dick as he does, rather than holding his feet to the fire for not delivering on his campaign promises and being GW Bush II, is getting really irritating.
JixMa 2 years ago
No Michael, only 40% of the country is insane and 20% readily admit it.
The latest polling shows 20% identify as GOP, the same love Faux, Rush,Beck and Palin.
wervasdeferens 2 years ago
Dude if this country isnt insane Explain to me how bush won twice, and people are actually considering Sarah palin as a viable presidential nominee.
3star2nr 2 years ago 2
3star2nr,
Remember, Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000.
The fact that Bush got re-elected only reflects on those that ride the line between sanity and insanity.(aka swing voters).
I don't believe that the majority of people in this country are insane, they're just lazy and apathetic.(sheep). They allow the insane to set the agenda.
But let the shit get bad enough and the sane will eventually have to get off their collective asses.
wervasdeferens 2 years ago
and there in lies the problem in our democracy. It only works if everyone participates.
Look at the health care debate. The idiots and the lunatics were out in force, where were the sane people? Oh right at home bitching about Obama.
More people came out for the Pro-gay march on washington for marriage than for life saving health care reform.
it makes one wonder where peoples priorities are.
Lots of good a Marriage certificate is gonna do you when your sick and cant afford shit
3star2nr 2 years ago
I say the prioritys should be ending the war first before spending our nation into oblivion.
