  • Why didn't the production company let the actors playing the aliens (especially The Phantom) wear underwear? It's too darn obvious.

  • Lamest space invasion force ever.

  • so they traveled across millions of light years to conquer earth, and they could only shoot a few rays at a guy, whom defeats them by leaping? man if only earth had someone whom could leap, we would never have to worry about crankwhore!

  • "This isn't where we parked...Oh yea! Up a level!"

  • You know, because they use time codes to get the riffing of the movie just right. That skit may have been somewhat easy once they got it written and time differences worked out.

  • "Ha ha!--Oh.." I almost spit out my milk.

  • A stand of cedars

    A spaceship is taking off

    And I am tired

    That's a haiku!

  • I'm Hard Rock, I'm Coco, I'm Joe!

  • That host-segment was Abbot and Costello levels of awesome.

  • Haha! Tom: "Engage the musical saw!". It is so hard to choose but I think Tom is my fav.

  • Woody Allen asked me out ! LOFL !

  • 7:26 "Well, I'm back from break..anything shakin?" Hi-larious!

  • I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with someone who chooses to dress like that having unrestricted control over the lives of several orphans.

Also, all the women in this movie need to develop willpower and personalities, as it stands they're essentially obedient menial drones that can occasionally talk.

  • @kftc88 They are Japanese women of the 1960s. They could not have personalities. It was against Japanese law.

  • Dude, look closely! Krankor's mustache is epic!

  • when they do the chicken impression, it's so well placed.

  • Mike so so sexy!!!!

  • Mike so so sexy! He looks so delicious in his flight suit!

  • THERE GOES A NARWHAL!

  • Possibly the greatest host segment ever\

  • Discharge the caustic vapors!! Looks like a lot of my fellow commenters have decided to do the same.

  • Powered by rotted fish I will destory you! Shall I prepare for take off, sir? Make it BAAKAK!!! Into my modified pith helmet! An exchange of deadly negative scratches! Engage the musical saw! It's a cloud of fish oil! BINGO!!! Woody Allen asked me out! I LIKE IT VERY MUCH! Abner come look! I have a trail at 3 let's go! Ready and....mince, mince, mince, mince... We filled our pants sir! The Dave Knaplin Bragade!
  • Mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince.

  • I want a chicken puppet now

  • MST3K~The BEST in satire,comedy and spoofing B and Z~Grade Films.

  • i love it when people actually take time to dowsize a movie they see on youtube. First of all, this is a show that no longer exists, it was cancelled in 1999. second of all, its youtube! Its full of stupid vids and series like this for the source of entertainment. So if you are offended by an old cancelled show on youtube, then you truly dont have anything to be mad about.

  • I think the mst3k crew knew exactaly what they were saying, but they wouldn't expect having to put up with anyone complaining of stereotyping. If you're offended with this, thats your problem. But I don't think any Asian people would be really outraged or even annoyed by their little wisecracks. Just like us Americans aren't too bothered by by being called yankees, cowboys, typically overweight, rich and snobbish, stubborn etc.

  • Or maybe you can just not watch it if you have such a huge problem with it.

  • They make fun of everyone equally, they don't overly pick on any specific race or gender. As soon as they make fun of a woman dr. being ditzy or what have you, they make fun a man being a sports jock or whatever. If they didn't pick on what they were watching they wouldn't have a show.

  • Also interesting is the defensive the mst3k crew displays whenever something overtly racist against blacks or mexicans arises, or whenever a man hits a woman. Yet their riffing on dialogue by female actors almost always portrays them as airheads or ditzy. I don't think the crew is intentionally sexist or racist but just unaware of their remarks.

  • @cannedkitty Maybe Mike was born on Dec 7th 1941.

  • @cannedkitty Maybe they're unaware of their sexist and 'racist' remarks, or maybe you need to lighten up.

  • @americanjedi77

You didn't answer. What would YOU do differently?

  • "Where's my chicken puppet?"

  • a third into this episode and i'm already grown tired of the japanese/asian jokes. c'mon mst3k you're better than racist jokes.

  • @cannedkitty political correctness rears it's pointy little head.

  • @cannedkitty So it's ok when they make fun of there home state, american rednecks and italians, germans, aztec's and others? It's just a show, you should really just relax with a super violent porn cmic and some tepid squid.

  • @Servocaster Racism is racism whether or not its "just a show." The relentless mocking of Japanese expression of exasperation and relentless stereotyping goes deeper than satire. You can watch this and Invaders from Neptune episode and detect a subtle resentment or just general ignorance and disregard of Japanese people. I'm guessing there are no asians in minnesota plus Mike Nelson is an extreme right wing conservative so that would also make sense.

  • @cannedkitty people like you are why folks hate liberals. it wouldnt suprise me if you were a republican troll

  • @kakashi76767 or his a perfect example of a liberal overly sensitive and quick accuse people of racism

  • 6:44 Camel Toe!!!

  • There goes a narwhal! XD

  • woody allen asked me out.

  • @americanjedi77

What would you do in their place?

  • back to your 3X5 apartments men!!!

  • I want a chicken puppet.

  • "Bingo... um bingo here!"

  • Holy cow that space-time continuum segment is making my head hurt.

  • An exchange of deadly negative scratches!

  • I love how Mickey--a kid from Japan--has a New York accent & attitude.

  • @mct1967 remember this was over-dubbed by the italian company "belluci productions" hahahah

  • make it...BAH-GAAWK!!!

  • an exchange of deadly negative scratches! its a cloud of fish oil! humiliating game shows are beamed across the nation! Bingo! ...wheres my chicken puppet?

  • Ready...and... mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince, mince...

  • "Woody Allen asked me out"

    roflz

  • This just reminds me of the time Family Guy made fun of Speed Racer. lol

  • Discharge the Caustic Vapors!

    Engage the Musical Saw!

  • "I like that kid"

    Hilarious!!!

  • Are we gonna work at all today?

  • Huzzah for distortion of the space-time continum!

  • That was an excellent scene. I love how they're all on different temporal wavelengths.

  • copied from red dwarf's future echoes episode, i think, but still a classic and always brilliant.

  • although when evil people are mating they will appear at dawn sometimes. XD

  • Woody Allen asked me out.

  • what's that other japanese film they're watching in another episode that's quite similar to this one but so boring that Mike and the bots are getting a surprise visit from Crankor(sp)??

  • Invasion of the Neptune Men. :-)

  • The Hitler Building has to be in the top five WTF moments of all MST3K. The hanglider bomber in Cave Dwellers and the inexplicably reincarnated desk girl in Space Munity are up there too.

  • In Invasion of the Neptune Men I meant.

  • In 512, Watching Mitchell's gun falling down the inside of his pants leg was another "what did I just see?" moment.

  • I'd also like to submit bowler hat guy from Deadly Bees.

  • @flandersfails It's called "Invasion of The Neptune Men."

  • @liteRunner10 thx!

  • How much longer, djames?

  • Did Krankor steal parts 4 and 5?

  • Well, I'm back from break, anything shakin'?

  • Does Tom Servo make a "ROM" Space Knight reference at 2:30?

  • That space ship DOES look like a wheelbarrow!

  • lol, what gets me is how the camera just stays on the girl even though its the guy and the boy talking. lol

  • "A stand of cedars, a space ship is taking off and I am tired." LOL!

  • Haiku!

  • lol, I like how there's a bird trying to sit on the radar at 6:22. Really undercuts their threatening nature even more.

  • "He stole my cup!" Those pants are a little too tight. ROFL

  • Those pants are way too tight - EW!

  • If you think those are tight you have never seen David Bowie in Labyrinth XD

  • I have once long ago - but it's been pushed into my deepest subconscious for survival purposes, so it's not available for immediate retrieval. Thank you thank you poor memory!

  • anyone notice when mike says "make it buck-cawck" crow is moving his mouth?

  • That happened ,sometimes a line wouldn't come through or was cut and they just threw something in.

  • I LIKE IT VERY MUCH.

  • rofl

  • Hey, dosen't it Cankhor's cape look like a cut out black plastic garbage bag?

  • Probably was - ha!

  • its a sealy posturepedic corn field

  • "There goes a Narwhal!"

Funny thing is , Trace as Crow makes that same joke in "The Starfighters".

  • Woody Allen asked me out!

  • Did U by chance lose your drink to that one the first time U heard it? Never saw that one comin'. X-D

  • He's prince of watching his space cushions!

  • Mom said I have to wear this because it's cold in space!

  • I like how they kinda look like the villians from Venture Brothers

  • "& BY THE WAY YOU'RE SO FiNE. HEY MiCKiE."

    haha that was funny

  • Wow, that space-time continuum skit was really done well.

  • Y'know, a Scare Me would really work well right now.

  • Omg! How could they not have riffed that!

Apparently on 4:14 someone forgot the well-known rule of focuing the camera on whoever TALKS not just the person that is turning thier head back and forth listening to the conversation.

  • I actually think the poor framing of that shot is due to the cropping from widescreen to 4:3. Instead of panning back and forth across the frame to follow the speakers, they just decided to split the difference, effectively keeping both speakers almost completely invisible.

You can see plenty of other amusing problems with pan-and-scan in the Gamera and Godzilla movies from the earlier seasons.

  • Though I can easily defeat them I must run away MOOOOOOM!

  • Woody Allen asked me out.

  • "Abner, look!"

  • I always thought that was funny just the way he says that... but is that a reference to something?

  • To Bewitched. It was Samantha's nosey neighbors, Gladys and Abner

  • This film is brilliant. The acting is flawless, great original dialogue & the special effects......WOW!

  • "Back to your 3 by 5 apartments men"

  • I bet Wally is the Prince of Space.

  • I dont know any Asians named Wally. lol

  • Was it "Wall*E"?

Oh wait. That was a GOOD sci-fi movie.

  • Hm. Guess you're braindead, then.

  • I don't know why, but Crow's chicken puppet makes me happy ^w^

  • I want a chicken puppet!

  • Best episode of MST3k ever! "Hey I'm back from break anything shaking?"

  • how does him avoiding their ray gun constitute a threat? he doesn't even do anything to them. they should just ignore him a keep killing humans.

  • "Haha-oh"

  • Y'know, a Scareme would really work well right now.

  • Man, I love this host segment. Also the one where Servo tries to explain quantum reality.

  • "What gets into some civilizations?" That's what we're all wondering.
