I appreciate how many UC Gundam series have excellent scores. Z (both TV and movies) ,ZZ&CCA all had BGM composed by Shigeaki Saguesa. V Gundam had good music by Akira Senjuu, and 08th MS Team also had an epic OST. Now Unicorn has this awesome BGM.

What's wrong with being a Zeon sympathizer? A few Zeon characters in this series are pretty damn sympathetic. Don't get me wrong, dropping colonies and asteroids onto Earth is a big no-no, but the Federation has done plenty of nasty things too(mostly when the Titans were around). Still, no matter who you sympathize with, I'm pretty sure the Gundam Unicorn OST doesn't care whose side its likers or dislikers are on.

I can't blame Riddie in this episode, Loni had no clear intention of backing down or surrendering, he did the right thing in this case, however I don't think this will happen again in the nest two episodes

@Spartanz1170 well if you look closely at the scene right before he kills her and the Shamblo fires it's hyper mega-particle cannon you can see that she gains control of the deflector bits, and out of the control of the Psy-COM (which was controlling her mind from the beginning) then uses the deflectors to block the shot from the Shamblo's cannon. then Riddhe kills her... so with that said i have to disagree, Riddhe is to blame, mostly for his impatience (as is his usual way to be in combat)

Except he has no reason from his point of view that Shambloo has stepped down when it has been behaving irradically throughout its rampage. Nor does Loni deflecting its own shot against Banagher means that she would stop attacking the rest of the city. It had already killed enough innocent ppl. Riddhe is doing the right thing in all regards. Not to mention Delta plus doesn't have psychoframe, all Riddhe can see is a unstable pilot controlling a monster MA.

@flamingtroll Good job, you've completely missed the point of this episode... Revenge is not a justifiable reason for anything. She obviously realized what she was doing wrong and tried to stop herself from being controlled by the PSY-COM anyways. Plus Riddhe overheard the entire situation between Loni and Banager though his radio (and it's pretty obvious that he's a newtype so he'd be able to sense something)

@PaceBreaker23 I partially agree with flamingtroll there that an emotionally damaged pilot of a mobile armor that powerful can hardly be trusted not to hurt everything around them the less you try to stop them. That said, I also agree with you; Riddhe is not a noble or heroic character. He carries just as much prejudice against Zeon as anyone and was determined to kill the pilot directly (as opposed to disabling the MA) regardless of what Loni did BECAUSE of her affiliation and prior act.

This is not CE where you can just "disable" a machine and live happily ever after. Something like an MA is designed to take a lot of damage before being completely disabled. With only one shot left in the magnum, how can you actually "disable" the machine? If you takeout the head, it still have its 2 scattering gun, deflector bits and MS crushing claws. In fact, if Loni didn't "save" Banagher, he would have died right there for being indecisive and taking Riddhe with him

@flamingtroll Your living up to your name very well. Its all speculation about an anime scene that's mismatched to the events of a mostly canon novel. Lighten up. My opinion is against Riddhe, not for Loni. What I'm saying is that Riddhe is a great representation of the struggle Unicorn is trying to show the viewers; no attempt or ability to understand an enemy. Even if he did right by himself, that doesn't make him as a character any less flawed than the rest of them.

Then how do you explain the one-sided negative comments about Riddhe? In the novel, Banahger was the one that made the shot, Loni was the one trying to stop his rampaging father, should he be getting the same frak as those for Riddhe? Saying Riddhe was "wrong" is like saying a cop with a pistol shooting dead a murdering bank robber with AK47 is wrong just becuase the robber hesitated when aiming at the cop. It is a tragedy, but that doesn't mean there is no right and wrong.

In the novel Loni practically begged Banagher to stop the Shamblo and told him how to do it. Is Banagher perfect? Hell no - he's part of a set of narrow views trying to come up with a good solution. Riddhe at this point is tilted against that goal. The split on opinion of him is probably why they modified this scene... Drama yo.

First off, It's not revenge when you are trying to stop a rampaging MA, which probably has already killed hundreds of people. That last part when Loni said "It's sad isn't it" was completely psycho frame. All that Riddhe could hear was how she has lost everything and shouting "Sieg Zeon". She didn't even regain complete control of the machine, she had to stop the shot by using the deflectors. Riddhe has no reason to give her the benefit of the doubt.
