Was the radiation levels high inside the buildings?

@holy1337 No, the inside of the buildings were only slightly elevated. I worried more about asbestos and mould. On the roofs the radiation levels were quite high though.

@tnerual888 Well, the whole city of Pripyat was built for the workers of the Chernobyl power plant. So yes.

just the ambience you put into this video is chilling. i really want to visit it before it becomes a tourist attraction. I looked some stuff up and apparently there was a radiated wolf found in 2008 with insane amounts of radiation.

well, it *is* a tourist attraction already, but not in the Eiffel tower / Machu Pichu sort of way. Just don't book one of those bus tours, that's a rip-off.

That's what I thought two years ago. It takes some research, organization and preparation, but if you really want to do it, it's possible. And there are many more ghost towns other than Pripyat.

Great video! I wonder why people looted the town? Didn't they know everything was contaminated??? It's sad to see the decay over the years, and I wonder what it would look like if the folks didn't vandalize and loot! Glad you are safe! I really appreciate the video!
