  • anyone seen WALL-E

    THAT IS OUR FUTURE~!!

  • Thers a market between bikes and walking, its Jst a matter of time, get off the bus and ride this the mile to work or make a fast 1, get rid of taxed to death motor car and ride this for lower cost till our dictators find a way to tax this.

  • Walk stupits!

  • that wheel concept was invented years ago by an American rocket scientist for use as a moon buggy, he got his inspiration from a passage in the Bible - Ezekiel I think.

  • Nice, until you hit a crack on the sidewalk or a rock...FACEPLANT!

  • Err nice idea and product, but the piano isn't even tuned!

  • You know.... I bet if you added one more wheel... it would be stable and logical. Oh, wait... that's called an electric bike, and we already have them. Silly, but pretty.

  • they should really design an american version! call it...LAZY SEGWAY! I'm sure it would be a hit!

  • how fast does it go ?

  • yay

no more need for my legs

  • those wing seat things are going to have to be a LOT bigger if they plan on selling in the US market

  • Very cool. Simpler way to do this with wider applicability.

    SideDriver. Drive allways.

  • Comment removed

  • Look at those noobs hanging onto the seat.

  • It needs to go much faster.

  • I'll kick someone sitting with this lazy ass thing...

  • why don't you just walk you lazy people !

  • now we can all cut our legs off

  • i want this fitted to my toilet

  • slow. useless.

  • Ok....How does one control it?

  • They need to put some type of handle bars on the damn thing...

  • its nice, but you look really stupid while riding it ROFL

  • I bet the chick on the right at 0:37 has a nice fat ass

  • @slipsonic

Maybe. She has a decent figure. Need to filll it out some more, though.

  • neat

  • That would be fun to try out. I love honda. They just keep on pushing the limits with new ideas.

  • Imagine that technology in a car - parking would be a breeze - just pull up next to a pair of parked cars then move sideways into the spot :)

  • The chick on the right at 0:38..... I want her. Bring her to me.

  • the problem is the noise when you use air to make something work it makes alot of noise

  • Great just another step in the direction of the George Orwellian world where "Wall-E" becomes real life.

  • It seems too slow.

  • @handiest1 its an experimental device.

  • where can i buy one?

  • Japanese companies should build a practical, stair-climbing wheelchair with long-lasting lithium batteries. Then make them available in the US for a fair price.

This concept won't work, the seat is too small and it's too unstable to stay on. A 350 pound American loses this whole machine between his cheeks.

  • @Hesam0000 It's not the Japanese's fault most U.S citizens are fat bastards. Perhaps it'd be a good idea to stop trying to make our transports bigger to compensate for the sheer girth of someones fat ass, and start examining the root of the issue, the FAT MOTHERFUCKING ASS.

  • @ArgosRho I agree about the Americans fat asses, but that thing is disappearing under tiny japanese asses too.

  • that is so much cooler than a segway

  • is it just me or is that some really creepy music for something thats suppose to be enjoyable

  • They need to find a way to make this work for those who have lost the use of their legs. It's compact enough that it would be much better than any wheel chair.

  • UNICYCLE.

  • i hope they didnt spend much devoloping that cuz no one would use it unless they are to lazy to walk

  • that jus look so uncomfortable to sit on...i need somewhere to rest my back against

  • ROFL, you guys know I was joking right? Right? RIGHT?

    just checking.

  • were all gonna turn to fat people like in Wall-E

  • Do you -have- to hold on to your ass the whole time?

  • Actually, there is EVERYTHING Wrong with walking. Walking is a remnant of our reptilean past. The fact that we Still walk, just goes to show that we havent really evolved all that much. The advanced Chinese knew this, and in an effort to accelerate the evolutionary process, bound their womens feet.

  • @JDCubed789 this was just to prevent them to be able to run away from their abusive husbands.

  • @JDCubed789 thats posibly the stupidest shit ive ever heard. im speechless, i truely am.

  • I want one of these as my office seat^^

  • This is for ultra skinny people like the asians. The ladies could gain a couple of pounds and looks delicious.

  • yeah, but what happens if you put a full-sized american on it?

  • whats wrong with getting a hoveround ???

    S.S. usually pays for it...

  • sponsored by the obesitas promotion center

  • speed limit is meant for asians and their reputation

  • @TheHariputtar what's that again you typical fat arse american white boy.

  • 0:40 looks like they're shitting

  • honda i know your trying to be futuristic and all but seriously we have enough obese people on the planet already

  • i coud crawl faster with a broken leg than that on top speed.....

  • you would be so fucked on this thing if there was any strong wind.

  • haha... this is stupid.... segway is cooler lol

  • ever take it off of any sweet jumps?

  • @winnabego this is one of the newest things. not many of this was created. and the would not do tricks on that. that would be preaty stupid.

  • were all gonna get fat and robots are going to take over are lives and we well die

  • Ever see the movie WALL-E?

  • the japanese just had to go and screw stuff up. lol just kidding! No offense

  • when is it gona be in production? great for walking disability people.

  • @sg2sin never. japan said its not for sale

  • look at her shoes, clean. now look at her arse....mmmm

  • And thats how the japanese got fat..

  • the fear in their eyes..

  • This could be thought of as a unicycle on steroids or an Apple-fied Segway. Other than replacing walking - which is NOT a good idea - I'm really not sure of a purposeful way to use this thing. Maybe if it had a full-size seat/chair attached to it, it could become a better wheelchair. Because of it's size and minimalist shape, it wouldn't be as cumbersome and bulky as a typical wheelchair. BUT if it should stop working, there would be no other wheels to hold it up and keep the rider from falling.

  • Very good concept, next we will have this concept of balance and sideways -forward backward wheels on our cars!

  • This looks stupid. Maybe a portable barstool be a better name?

  • well if someone is disabled this could be quite awesome for them

  • "compact experimental device that fits between the rider's legs"?

    Sounds naughty.

  • If they sit in my shoulders, I'll carry them around. I could use the workout. ☺

  • In Japan it is AD 2299.

  • That is so cool. I want one.

  • jesus drives a Honda now.

  • as people get increasingly obese from this honda will have to make them bigger and more expesive, and then the cycle begins again. this is worth than the death grip of the oil monopoly

  • Learn to make stuff completely invisible. Then we'll talk about this.

  • yes..that cool dude...great invention...n technologies

  • thats pretty cool

  • why walk with 5km/h when i can drive on a unnecessary expensive "thing" with 2km/h

yeah man thats future- muscles be gone :D

  • Those cute little japanese girls are going to get pretty fat pretty quick riding around on those things!!!! Get off and burn a few calories girls!!!

  • I wanna see a police chase with these...

  • They should make a hoverpot as an accessory to this so you dont have to go to the bathroom either...wait better yet, make your bed hover too and set it on auto to take you to work. But wait everyone would be still sleeping by the time you get there.

  • This thing is uncomfortable, very uncomfortable

  • @KirillKrasov It looks it, especially how you have to lean to move...

  • @HavazikFerric may be for asians it's comfotable because they usually smaller than europeans, but it's uncomfortable for high people. also look at their back, that's why i think it's uncomfrotable.

  • @KirillKrasov That's what I was saying, it looks uncomfortable because they have to lean in to move.

  • Love the way they build the wheel construction, very good.

Thanks for the sharing of this vid info.

  • best. bar. stool. ever.

  • @stealthballer i would love to see drunk people on these haha

  • @stealthballer hey! Don't drink and drive. ;)

  • unsafe????

  • That will be cool if they had these at work.

  • it would be cool though you dont have to walk to school :)

  • How does it handle gravel and dirt and thick carpet and puddles of water?

Because not every tool is going to be used in "ideal circumstances".

Heck, even a variance on smooth hard surface like a dent in the sidewalk would topple this thing.

  • when im going to be 50y old ill be having my ass holding by air

  • it looks like you would kill you back if you hit a bump. I think the segway is better.

  • Look like something out of a 70's Science-Fiction comic book !

  • They included this in the door of a concept car. It could help get you to the gas station, or help transport a passenger that can't walk as well in a crisis. The folks here shouting "LAZY" are pitifully projecting their own lack of imagination.

  • @emceay I am afraid you cant be lazy and own this simply because it would probably not be able to support a truly lazy persons bodyweight.

  • ever consider its potential as a wheelchair?? stop calling people lazy and open your mind to the possibilities this thing can offer the mobility impaired.

  • @blondathartnhead - if this were to be a subsitute to a wheelchair you would have some serious issues... I'd say about 70% of people bound to a wheelchair do not have the physical strength to balance him/herself on this thing let alone the strength to get up on a small machine that needs to be stabilized. This is why you will never see a 60-80 year old (fully) handicapped person market this item in an advertisement.. sorry - just the reality of it all

  • @lrheault32 adaptations can be made the seat to accommodate people's individual needs, things are modified all the time to benefit people with disabilities. As someone who was wheelchair bound for a few years, this thing would be miraculous.

  • this cant do well up hills

  • LAZY!!!

  • use less a rolling chair is much better because it's more comfortable. I think this chair is worth buying just because it's fun to use but other then that it's horrible.

  • Hate to change a worn out tyre on that.

  • Enough with the fat and lazy comments already! People who make those comments are the same ones who travel half a mile by car!

  • lazy bastards

  • damn glad it showed how it worked at the end..i was stuck 3 hrs thinking bout how it worked.

  • Should be called the lazy mobiel.

  • Yeah, the Japanese. Right. Actually, the technology was invented by a German over 60 years ago, then transplanted to the segway that we all own today. Someday, we'll all own one of these, just like we all own a segway now.

  • This is just an exercise, yet again new technology com from the Japanese. Imagine this used in cars.....

  • Was it really that hard to position the seat to be less awkward?

  • Next gen replacement of wheelchairs.

  • and now go down stairs!

  • Fun invention, but you can just use your feet, it's healthy and uses no electricity :)

  • Yeah imo those are for lazy people i understand if thease are used by someone how has lost a leg or something but not for normal people or in the future we are all fat and not able to move

  • acutuuauaaallyyyyy! to move in different dirrections all yyoooou ddooo isss leeeaan to the dirreeecttion!

  • I know that.. But i said it's better to walk (:

  • make me lazy plzzzzz!!!!

  • this mashine isn't enteirly designed for the purpose of replacing legs, it has far more to offer. A few idears from me where this thing can be used for:

    - It maybe can't replace legs of humans but it certainly can replace the legs of robots!

    - a table that hoveres with you trough the chamber (to takes some plates from the kitchen to the livingroom for example)

    - maybe this technique can be used to replace wheels on things like skatebords!

PS: i'm dutch, my english is not perfect.

  • k, so im riding down the street, all these bumbs here and there... it wont break or someting ?

  • Now, if they put a little toilet in it, then it might be useful

  • This is a stupid invention overall, no practical use for it whatsoever? it wud b fun just to push someone over if they'r using the machine..

  • people imagine if the battery dies while u're on it.. that wouldn't be fun

  • going to be a lot of broken toes and worn-out shoe tips judging by the girls attempts at braking

  • what was wrong with walking?

  • no high tech enuf. ^^

  • i say this machine is useless.. innovative but useless.. invention without purpose is nothing... i mean it can't even be used outdoors... i say way to go honda creating more fat people..

  • then put it on robots, which don't have to worry about getting fat. Balance is a huge deal for robots, and this would make an excellent alternative.

And moving furniture is an idea.

  • @chronus671 So I walk 50 minutes to and from school.. sometimes I wish I could just pull one of these babies out of my backpack and sit on the way to school..

  • I think it is suitable to help people who cannot walked properly, such as injured workers... old people...

  • @chronus671 well it gives us healthy people the advantage of taking it easy and those who are obese are forced to walk - obese people would crush that thing.

  • @chronus671

    everything

  • @chronus671 Reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and stroke Lower blood pressure Reduce high cholesterol and improve blood lipid profile Reduce body fat Enhance mental well being Increase bone density, hence helping to prevent osteoporosis Reduce the risk of cancer of the colon Reduce the risk of non insulin dependant diabetes Help to control body weight Help osteoarthritis Help flexibility and co-ordination hence reducing the risk of falls not too many benefits...
  • @chronus671 There is nothing "wrong" with walking. What's wrong is the fact that you people don't consider the benefits to the handicap, elderly, and other individuals who have difficulty walking.

  • @chronus671 people might think they were handicapped. :/

  • lol you noticed they cant turn, right?

u cant go around corners with it. it just goes forward and sidewards how stupid is this invention

  • 0:20 pretty sure thats a corner, even if it is kinda sideways

  • Yo thats gangsta

  • its sooooo tiny

im a tall person so if i were to buy one.... would they make a larger version

  • It looks cool but I'd be afraid of getting my ass kicked for riding it.

  • at least you'd be less beat up than if you were riding a segway

  • esta chingonnnn¡¡¡¡ ojala y este al alcanze de todos

  • reminds me of wall-e, lol

  • the wheel has only one point touching the floor, so users may fall if he tilts his body too much. It looks safer if he uses roller skates, anyway there are more contact points/surfaces.

  • Right, who needs legs!!! PEOPLE, are we getting nuts? Will Obama wake us up? I think not. I await the coming of a clearer voice...with humor and conviction...

  • u noe wat they should do? they should make super small versions of these and tell u to stick it on the bottom of ur shoe...now THAT would be cool

  • but then why not just buy a pair of roller skates...

  • Mkay like.....what is the point of this thing?

We can walk faster than this.

  • When does the VTEC kick in?

  • lol epic inside joke

  • hahaha!

  • LMAO

  • if i was on that thing i would just stand up and walk

  • world is too populated for everyone to walk! besides with the rate of unemployment and world poverty coming soon, these are all added to planet's trash.

  • Well...i dont wanna sound like a negative person but..whats the point of using a U3-X? To become a lazy person? use ur legs...we are all gonna get fat

  • i am totally agree with you, humanity will finish like Wall-e...

  • Its not meant to be a product so much as an engineering breakthrough... inventions typically don't just come out of nothing, so this can be a stepping stone to something better.

Either way, this is for people who have tremendously weak legs or old people, a serious problem for many people outside of lack of excercise or laziness. :P

Its like Wheelchairs.... not everone in a wheelchair is sitting in one because they're 'lazy'.

  • no ei jumalauta ompa laiskaa porukkaa -.-

  • wow! talk about WASD, strafe left and right...lol

  • LMAO

  • trust the asians to invent this lol

  • ...and we should neeever walk... again

  • Honda #1
