  • yea i was going to say, this car can def put out more power, my car made 296/316 on an airboy dyno, and thats with k&n intake, injen catted downpipe and ultimate racing catback

  • @icetc7 Does the Airboy dyno read exactly as the Dyno Dynamics? Also were the same ambient conditions present as this vehicle at the time of your test?

  • LOL at jbbrian. If you have anything but stock ECU, for example a stage 2 that you supposedly had the dealership would've told you and your warranty to go eat one. LOL!!! Trying to sound cool on youtube and posing that you have a WRX, fail

  • My 09 wrx trans broke 2nd gear at 29 k .I was lucky they covered it under warranty.It was stage 2 map from cobb nothing crazy .Time for an STI maby that can handle it.

  • @jakubgt1 yup mine went out about 400 miles ago just rebuilt 3rd but be smart if its just your syncro like mine was then its a much cheaper fix if u drive conservative till u get it in a shop. 500 for my parts vs 3000+... now saving for ppg.

  • this must be a horrible tune because i've seen the 09's get 270 awhp with a catted dp and exhaust....this car has no cat and an intake....

  • Not a horrible tune at all man, the engine was maximized on the ProTune and that is all the car would give me on the dyno dynamics.

  • I left that at 20psi on that stock turbo, had to actually take a little timing off since the ECU was pulling timing. On what dyno brand did you see the 270awhp at?

  • i'll have to look it up, but best to goto nasioc and look for things. they have people doing 300awhp 330 tq with stock vf52, tbe, high flow dp and injectors.

  • Aight kewl , going to have to look around on that site and see what the other ppl are making on that same dyno. I talked to another repsected suabru tuner in CO and he said that my numbers where decent for the mods it had. Remember not all engines are created equal

  • yea true. and ur power is pretty awesome, beats alot of cars in its class and above its class(kills the sti) try gettin like 750cc injectors, a fuel pump, and maybe i perrin top mount.

  • the 5spd is weak, 6spd not so much

  • The 5 speed is what makes my WRX go from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and the six speed brings the STi to 60 in 5.0.

    Ill go with the 5 speed...

  • I have to say though, after basic mods, the 5th gear should be around 0.68 instead of 0.74, I hate taching 3000 doing 65-75 MPH when the engine can easily handle that at 2000 RPM

  • no point in getting the STI when you're getting a quicker car for thousands less in the base WRX

  • Im thinking about doing what this guy has as a setup, but im wondering if the Gear box can handle it. people say that the WRX gear box is weak as fuck.

  • This client has been flogging his car at this power levels and not a slight issue with the gear box to speak off.

    People are right, there have been cases when at stock power level the transmission goes south.

  • I will have to swing by and dyno the ej20k... if it doesn't spin a bearing or kill the 5spd first lol

  • up to 320 awhp with supporting mods... :)

  • ^what he said ^ For the money though you may want to look at a 68HTA and Front Mount just because once you have the supporting mods to hit 320 you can get up to around 380-400 with relative ease. The VF 52 runs out of breath at 330 ish.

  • Its on a dyno dynamics aka Heartbreak dyno.

    It reads even lower than a MD. I dont think u will put those numbers down on a Stage1 custom map, not on this dyno ;¬)

  • awesome!! Just wondering tho, why are the number somwhat low mate? Was this a Mustang Dyno? I think i can almost put down that power with just the custom stage1 tune i am running.

  • yeah, maybe on a dynojet. dyno dynamics = very low reading dyno.
