Yeah it's true, when compaired to other vide game conversions to film Mortal Kombat would be in the top 3, i'd say No.1 would be Silent Hill for sure. The only thing i felt that this film actually lacked was better fight scene coreography as it was kinda tame, especially if you've spent alot of time like myself watching great Hong Kong Cinema.

Chris Casamassa, the Martial Artist who portrayed Scorpion in this movie, has confirmed that he will reprise the role in the new Mortal Kombat film. Linden Ashby (Johnny Cage) and Christopher Lambert (Raiden) have also expressed interest in returning.

this was my favorite part too, best fight in the movie. This youtube video ended before the entire scene was over. But thats good cuz the fight was pretty much over right there. Scorpion definitely would have won the whole scene if he didnt take the mask off.

In the game, ALL the ninjas, except for Sub-Zero were bad. Ermac started out evil but then became good in the later games.

to tell you the truth thats what SHOULDVE happened. johnny cage never used a shield in the game, and plus theres no blood in this movie. i suppose if there was it wouldve been rated R. and ill tell you what, i bet if the talking parts didnt slow the movie down like the story, the fight scenes wouldve been longer. and notice how sonya only fought one person through the whole movie... now i see why ppl hated this movie

The people who hated this movie are WAY too anal and sticklers for SMALL details.

This movie, compared to other video game movies, did justice to the game. The plot and story was exactly the same. Most if not all the characters were played very well and spot on. Most people FAIL to see that, and only complain about there being no gore, how certain characters should have won, or didn't appear long enough. It's ridiculous.

Yeah the MK movie has it flaws, but it's one of the best video game movies of all time. You can't deny that.

Second favorite fight in the movie. Scorpion had him all the way. If it weren't for bullshit movie telling, Cage would have been gone.  Scorpion had nothing but he upper hand the whole fight. Great fight.

Some people even hated the first MK movie because for example, the older Sub-Zero was killed by Liu Kang, when Scorpion was supposed to kill SZ. The reason was that the game had many sub plots and the producers decided to break it down to a good vs. evil conflict in general. The movie everyone hated was the sequel, MK:Annihilation. Why? Everything in the sequel was crap. They are making another sequel. We can only hope the third one will be good which I doubt
