I forgot to ask, where do you get the peach glue?, can I use a substitute with regular glue?, and what is the name of the colours you used for the cherries ? Thank you! and hope that it is not too many questions, I would very much like to replicate your bowl of cherries. I even have a chinese stamp with my name :)
i dont think its wrong. just different -but in a good way! after watching the video again i saw it from a different perspective, and it looked great- both traditional, and realistic
You got it! In Chinese painting, the contours are drawn according to psychological truth and design values at the expanse of foreshortening, shading and perspective.
i dont quite get it, it looks interseting, like the foot is the base, so is solid and square, and the place is holding the cheriies, (correct me if i am wrong) but, i dont quite understand, or is that it?
This peach glue powder is made from natural peach tree sap through traditional process. It is very water soluble. To apply, simply add it to the water you use for mixing sumi ink and colors to reduce bleeding or smearing as desired. Its clear transparency protect the chroma and values while ink or colors are diluted with peach glue water.
Thank you for asking. It is a very traditional trick that peach gum used as painting glue. Naturally peach, plum, apricot, cherry tree branches secreted glue or gum which can be selected and used as painting glue to paint thickly on rice papers. Its clear transparency protect the chroma and values of colors when mixing and reduce bleeding or smearing. I will order some peach glue powders and make it available on my website soon.
That was so beautiful and yet so simple. thanks for sharing :)
