  • Wow! my son is at Camp Pendleton here in California, and it scares me to death the prospect of him going to war. This video is thought provoking, heart wrenching, and should move any teenager (and parent) to think twice [thrice] before enlisting. If this was a public announcement, the U.S. military (Pentagon) would be upset at seeing this on the airwaves.

  • One of the best pieces of advice I got on overcoming PTSD is: 1) Get Real 2) Get Over it 3) Get on with your life. The most important part of this is step 1 - getting real - it's underanding that it WAS NOT YOUR FALUT.

  • I met a soldier home from the war who was suffering terribly.

He was very angry. I tried to tell him that he was actually crying instead. War can be heartbreaking. It's good when soldiers break through the anger to the tears. That's healing.

Anger is like a barbed wire fence keeping out that wilderness called grief. It's good to go ahead and cry. Crying can be a very good thing.

  • "How can something that looks so peaceful be so violent?"

Well, no one is rushing to claim that Iraq looks very peaceful...

  • @NorthCitySider Lol Amen brother

  • I have my treatment.... a lot of liquor and giving up on a relationship

  • i just have big big respect for them this and you.

  • A proud servicemember has a hard time admitting and asking for help. Add the fact that it takes an act of congress to qualify for aid and the fucked up meetings don't do shit but remind you of war I would say the system is a set-up for disaster.... I been saying it for years! When the troops come home, so does the war! Get ready America, because here it comes!!!!

  • This was really beautiful and powerful. Made me cry. Keep on making films.

  • Comment below refers to women soldiers also, of course. :)

  • He walked a rocky road. Attacked from all sides, he forged on, risking his life every day to save the lives of others. He was the great protector, loyal to us all. In the end, he was killed but will be remembered always as a hero.

    Who was he? Jesus?

    Close. He was a soldier.

"There is no greater gift a man can give then to lay down his life for a friend." ~ Jesus Christ

  • @eastariel Soldiers aren't giving up their lives for a friend they are doing it to protect the interest of a select few who made billions off of them.

  • @Warriors63215

What do our brave and noble soldiers say about why they are doing what they are doing?

  • @Warriors63215 So are you speaking from experience as prior service or am I safe in assuming you haven't a clue as to what you're talking about?

  • @Warriors63215 What were the reasons for being in Iraq and Afghanistan? Weren't for Weapons of Mass Destruction where they like Bush had said? It was for one thing, oil!

  • @Warriors63215 do not make the mistake of confusing a soldier with a politician.

  • I love soldiers. In fact, I love everyone, but I have a special love for those Jesus-like heroes who risk their own lives to save others.

I met one soldier who was suffering. I had to choose between helping him and being liked by him. I chose to help him instead. In fact, I was so shockingly rude to him that he shouted at me and stomped out of the room.

I'm glad I did. I hope he's feeling better now.

At some point, we have to take the rearview mirrors off the bus and move forwards instead.

  • look up the video "Vietnam Dustoff Medic Bob Goss Describes PTSD" This guys was a combat medic in vietnam but you can relate exactly to what he is talking about. If you talk to a WWII Korea whatever vet youll have a lot more in common than you expect

  • I did two deployments to Iraq. I hate to say it but Iraq was a Bull shit war. We went to war because of Bush/Cheney and other turds' personal interests and feelings. Not to protect or defend the US. Aside from that though I had a pretty good even if in many ways fucked up experience. I wasnt so much looking for the Army experience as much as the experience of War. But my experience was a luxury paid by the american people. Now the country is broke. It wasnt a good move.

  • maybe i misunderstood. Are you an OIF/OEF vet? cause you sound like you understand where we are coming from. I really dont talk about Iraq because a) I dont think most people give a damn b) the ones who claim to give a damn have already made up their minds from the comfort of their living rooms c) if I talk about it people just give me crreped out blank stares. Are interested in the US Army? what are your reasons for joining? I joined cause I wanted to sevre in war an dthen see if i surviv

  • Thanks to all who replied to my comment I attend a group therapy at my local VA of just OIF vets and they feel the same way

  • @MrGoaliedude36 good to hear that. Vet Center also offers tehrapy and groups but they also offer relationship and family therapy as well as workshops and a wider schedule 0800 t0 2000 hrs Mon-Fri

  • My Question to all my fellow OIF/OEF vets out there is do you feel like an outcast to society like you can't blend into society? For me I just can't, It feels like my life is just nothing right now while all my friends & family have gone to college and have nice jobs

  • I have a question for all those soldiers and civillians that are suffering from Britain and America... Before you went to 'the war on terror' 'to fight for your country' did you already feel a part of your country and what was YOU truly fighting for? Becos i dont feel like part of my country, and i guarentee that the people who are suffering from these war symptoms do not feel a part of theirs... as viirusone said; Those who have seen war, never stop seeing it. I WANT MY LIFE BACK.

  • @Mcfc2Rich I did 2 tours in Iraq with the Marines, I feel like I cannot blend into society again like I feel unaccepted in this new world before I joined I was more social then ever now when I go out I have to sit with my back against the wall near a door so I can see who comes in and read their actions to see if their a threat or not, I hate it I shouldn't have to judge people and see if their a threat I just want to be normal again

  • @MrGoaliedude36 i know how you feel, not a lot do, but there is some. there is pages on FB where you can talk about what you think and how you feel, other people will listen and things will get brighter. Its never to late and your not alone, all you need is the right help & guidance, i pray and hope for you that you get that and you get your life back. Happy Christmas goaliedude

  • @MrGoaliedude36 go to a group in the VA or the Vet Center. if you are around San Diego (USMC has a good shot of being there) look for "Warrior Traditions" offered through VVSD (used to be Vietnam Veterans of San Diego now its Veterans Village of San Diego) they have a group off base. youll feel better if you are w people who understand where you are coming from. or on pendleton ACVOW (American Combat Veterans of War) has meetings as well. They are not w military or govt.

  • @Mcfc2Rich Surviving war is good. If you want to live again RP to a Vet Center, They arae available Nation wide Started by hard Vietnam Vets mostly staffed by combat vets. Youll feel a lot better if you go in and start talking about these things to experts. No cost and totally confidential. I got pissed off on how the Army handled or even caused a couple of suicides in my unit. I got tagged as PTSD and barred from ReUping. Whcih I didnt want to do. Avergane people cant help.

  • @Mcfc2Rich I didnt feel entirely liek ai belonged. Like a lot of mexicans and other outsiders i wanted to serve and go to war to prove my loyalties. I still feel like im on the outside but now for these other reasons. I was very recentfull to civilians who are mindless and think they know better than us about the war etc. A vietnam vet made me think of their ignorance in ad ifferent ligth. he said youll be glad later that civilians dont understand your experience. they kept their innocense.

  • @bigtimepimpin666 yea thats a very good way of looking at it, I suppose those who have lost their innocence can relate to others also in the same situation.. would you reccomend the army for its discipline and would you say its worth it? I want training & I want to excel and prove myself but not if its going to cost me in the way it has many others, is the cost of war ever valuable?

  • @JimLitzFilms this video is fuckin great Jim, it speaks the truth & raises many questions. I like the start where you say 'How can something that looks so peaceful, be so violent' i just wish i knew the answer to that, i think i do know the answer but i dont know if i should say it. Excellent video and keep working with your passion because its reflecting in your work.

  • What's the song

  • Over 90,000 men and women returning from military service rely on the U.S. Veterans Health Administration (VHA) services for treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the signature wounds of these conflicts. The Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback presented a TeleSeminar by Dr. Carmen Russoniello, himself a former Marine machine gunner and decorated Vietnam combat veteran. ww.youtube.com/watch?v=kDlKRA_vURk

  • Hi, I produced a video about PTSD. You can watch it on my channel. It's called "Invisible Wounds (PTSD"

  • great film. The va isn't constantant in their treatment of ptsd. The ones in Mississippi really suck. Do a story about the lack of treatment from the VA. But how they have the money for bonus'

  • @FoothillsofWyoming There doing a great job here in the UK and I´m satisfied, and my brother in Sweden who where injured in Afghanistan says its heaven to be in Swedish care with PTSD!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with u @Gaara1555 I died in Afghanistan, i feel like im not even home!

  • @MrJOE303 did you always feel at home even before you went to afghanistan? and do you feel that everyone around you (including your family) is either blind or ignorant to the world and what goes on in it? youre not alone in your thoughts joe and its never too late to get yourself back.

  • LMAO!!! shouldn't of joined the military in the first place.

  • what about the civilians and the people who live, wtf do you think they go through, how about we help all the victims of the tragedy better yet how about, we ban wars!

  • @Gaara1555 Those who have seen war, never stop seeing it. I WANT MY LIFE BACK

  • @viirusone well said viirus, its never too late to recover, you just need to be tought how.

  • Why can't our soldiers fight with rubber bullets? That way, they could capture the opposing army instead of killing them. Plus, there would be no civilian casualties.

This would end PTSD and make self-defense as fun as football!

  • @eastariel We can't use rubber bullets because the enemy doesn't use them. It's kill or be killed over there.

  • @eastariel: they wouldd come back in a body bag. I want you to remember what war means, casualties. Casualties of of both military and civilian. It's unfortunate, but reality. I spent a combined 32 months in Iraq. I lived it...

  • Liberty we'll keep for you in the homeland you preserve,

the safety, peace, and right to speak our honest, open words.

Be safe, dear soldiers, brave and noble, keep your spirits bright.

And thank you for your priceless gifts, your brave and noble fight.

  • @PersonalGeek

    DEAR SOLDIERS, BRAVE AND NOBLE

Dear soldiers, brave and noble, offering your lives

to serve our country far away from husbands, parents, wives

and children who are yet to know the price of liberty.

When Mom and Dad are far from home, they're never really free.

  • excellent video - hope your dreams are comming true!!!!

  • MDMA IS AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR PTSD WHEN ADMINISTERED UNDER PSYCHIATRIC SUPERVISION. SPREAD THE WORD. CLINICAL TRIALS UNDERFIRE FROM N.I.D.A... FIGHT THE BULLSHIT, SAVE THE HEROES!!!!

  • How's this as a cure for PTSD?

Send our soldiers back to the places they fought, load them with gifts, and let them play Santa Claus.

  • HOW GANGSTERS OPERATE (In 4 Easy Steps)

You have what we want and we are going to Have It..

1- We will Ask you for it.

If you don't Give it to us,

2- We will Offer you 'something' for it. If you

    don't agree with our 'Offer',

3- We will Threaten you with Force. If you are still resisting our Moral Superiority (after all, we Played Nice and Asked you for what we wanted First),

4- We will proceed to Take what was

bequeathed to us by 'our' God (Mammon) through our Superior Firepower.

    ANY Questions?

  • I am proud to have served in both the Navy and Army...I had 37 friends die on my ship and one on patrol in the Army (IED)...38 friends gone and I would go back tomorrow,,,fuck you hippie protesters...chicken shits

  • @BGSU39 Dude, I am a veteran too and the brother, son and grandson of Combat Veterans. Every Empire and every Comfort Zoner knows how to exploit the Brothers in Arms psychological bond. Some wars are necessary /totally warranted but our country has committed atrocities that run directly counter to the very ideals that we so brad so much about. Our Military is used and abused by pieces of shit that have refused to serve repeatedly in the very military they readily commit to do our Dirty Deeds.

  • @BGSU39 Thank you and your friends for your service. Protestors are not the enemy - they are outsiders who don't understand why the killing has to occur in the first place. That does not make them scared to serve, they just question the reason why. At this day and age, I find it illogical to think that facts can't be provided in a clear and concise manner. This is what is truly heartbreaking. Thank you & the brave soldiers for having enough courage to not need these answers and for being loyal.

  • how terrible for them, back home in their well fed and blissfully ignorant country. The entire Iraqi nation is suffering from PTSD. But I don't blame them. Maybe people should remember what war is really like next time they decide to get righteously emotional, teary eyed and patriotic and launch a crusade. But they never do...

  • Well made, its a good video. :)

  • boydazzproductions.webs.com/donation.htm

  • Treatment *is* available. You have to talk to the guys who understand what the words mean. There are a butt-load of Vietnam vets who understand. We have fought this fight for 40 years and we know all about it. Get to your local Vet Center (Not VA) and get into a group of warriors who can help. It will never go away, but it can be handled.

  • @Deduke123456 Agree

  • Man , I'm an Iraqi contractor use to work with the USMC , after i left my job i started to get so angry with no reason , cant sleep , and feels like my brain is going to explode , now i know what i have , 2 bad i cant find a cure where i live now , anyways good job Bro.

  • You all sound like big fucken cry babies t! o me

  • This is a great video - I am healing from c-ptsd and this moves me. I've been doing art therapy and it has made all the difference. This is what my ptsd is like

  • i think a real question is WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOIN IN IRAQ:???? !!!!

  • Very powerful imagery, thank you for sharing! There are solutions, keep showing up...

  • @MrUSAJAY hey im a felloy brother in arms i would like to thank you for what you have done....i would also like to say im deploying this august so if you could please message me back and give me some pointers on how to deal with stress overseas\

  • You can help. Every $10 donation to a raffle (win $50K) allows us to train service dogs for these men and women. Think about it? helpkyriadotcom

  • shocked..forgot about how important they are 2 the country

  • I served in Desert Storm and Iraq in 2005. You have done a great service by making this video. God bless.

  • This is a story that does not get told often enough or loud enough. Our organization is trying to help raise the volume of America's veteran's voices. Thank you for creating this video, it helps to enlighten those who have no awareness.

  • @MrUSAJAY i have my shrink to talk to but other than that, im the only one at the party... thats why im always looking at these posts... it gives me some relief that there are others who are fighting the same fight that i am...

  • The New Leaf Programme

    Coming to California in October

  • I am a service member, and i wanted to thank you for the recognition. If you want to know any of the details of war, i will offer you what little i am able.

  • LOOK HAS BEEN FUCKING US FOR 400OYEARS!

    WATCH AND LISTEN!!! com/watch?v=IDLLPzp5ddM

  • This video was very moving. It is nice to see all of the different videos about PTSD...this was especially put together nicely :)..... and just to thro my two cents in @rilezly...your probably some young punk who has no idea about anything that the soldiers have to go through, you just sit in your parents basement and get high while the soldiers lay down their lives and sanity for your freedom...good luck in life kid youre gonna need it. And if your not a young punk I feel really sorry for you.

  • i have seen alot of death and torture and it hasnt effected me one bit, i cant relate to people with ptsd

  • oh my god this is so amazing, i have PTSD but not from war from foster care abuse and the 9/11 attacks, but i also have a question i want to go into the rotc, and when i turn 18 i want to go into like special forces marines, but im asking does anyone know do they let people inlist if they already have PTSD, i would really appreciate if some one answers because every one i ask does not know. :)

  • @zahvatchikKryeig I am Afghan Combat Vet, I fought in eastern Paktika as Infantryman for the 101st, seen combat on a daily basis dealing with indirect fire and couple of intense firefights throughout the year. The best advice I could give you is not to join a combat arms mos. Join something to do with support, if you have PTSD already from civilian life, how are you going to cope seeing your buddy blown to pieces, seeing death, and being risk of dying in a agonizing painful way.

  • @08infidel wow thats intense ive seen death and that was scary but that was from 9/11 and PTSD is hard to live with, but i hope your okay now and thank you so much for the advise :)

    Blessed Be!

  • PERFECT.

  • God Bless our soldiers! And to you dummies like nilezy here, God bless your filthy souls.

  • I think Most these pussies are faking PTSD.. for sympathy

  • thank you...

  • Great video, thank you for posting

  • fuck all of you haters

if you dont have the pride to stand behind our troops then stand in front of them!

  • thats stupid. The earth is not violent. Its the stupid ass ppl that make it that way. These soldiers know what they are getting themselves into once they sign their life over to the military or army or whatever. Take a xanax and get some psychiatric help u b ight.

  • @rilezly i guess you never were a soldier

  • @2010zombiez No, I'm not stupid.

  • @rilezly and you think soldier are stupid, tsk tsk tsk

  • @rilezly Damn, you sound cold and heartless. They may know what they're getting into but obviously it was more than most expected. There should be more available to them and dumb ass ignorant muthafukers like yourself. One day you'll eat those words, trust! Violence is everywhere moron, wake the fuck up and shut the fuck up!

  • This video was terrific. Job well done. I loved the beginning...how you opened the video!

  • is it ptsd if they keep going back?

  • Like the Americans the Israelis have come to know what PTSD means over and over and over again, and like the Americans the Israelis have innocently lived for too long without really knowing about PTSD and what it means. I am an casualty of PTSD and I have recently documented our own personal experience with it in my video "The other Home Coming". Thank you for your effort here to talk about this, it is compelling and we need to share more, tell more and learn more.

  • One of my friends has that and he get full salary for life.

  • i chickened out... didnt tell her how i really feel ... i am just not ready to be committed yet...

  • im going in the morning to see my shrink and im going to tell her everything about how im feeling...ill hold nothing back and see what happens...i hate this illness... ptsd and traumatic brain injury are two terms i wish i never heard...

  • This video is very reassuring man, of just how much we have been through, but people just dont seem to give a shit about us anymore man. I am a Marine veteran myself, and i have PTSD. Keep making these brother, they definitely touch peoples lives, hell i rarely cry and this made me teary eyed. There isnt a day that goes by that i dont think about my brothers who were killed while we were overseas. It seems like the VA just wants to pump us with pills and than send us on our way.

  • If anyone wants to help out our war veterans, there is an organization that is donating one service dog to a soldier with PTSD for every 5,000 "Likes" they get on Facebook. Pretty cool, and they already got over 200,000 so far. Take 5 seconds to help out and search DogBlessUSA on Facebook, and "Like" their page.

Thanks to anyone who supports this noble cause.

  • Your quote, "The majority of soldiers returning from Iraq suffer some form of PTSD"

O'really? you have a link to a source for that ?

  • @sapperzulu the last thing i read in the military paper was 1 in 5 come back with ptsd and 2 in 5 have it but wont admit it... its a stretch but thats the majority...it took me 3 years to realize and admit that i had it so in a few years those numbers will probably be higher...

  • @93CFD and the info is also in the vfw magazines that i get and i think the dav news letters also has that information... i am not sure but you can probably go to those web sites and get that information if you dont get the magazines... just trying to help... be safe...

  • @93CFD sounds like some people want free money

  • A soldier died in the field of battle and came up to the gates of heaven, where he met God. He said to God," Lord, I know I did many things i ain't proud of, and many more that you won't approve of, so if you send me to hell, I won't argue." God stood there for a moment, and then turned to the gatekeeper of heaven. "Let him in", he said.? The gatekeeper, confused, asked why. God looked down at the soldier and said," This man just came from hell."

  • "PTSD", the realization that one can be trained in months to be a killer, and yet may spend a lifetime to be untrained and to return to the basic civilian lifestyle.

  • ptsd and tbi are two things i live with every day...if its not my wife complaining about my facial tics and my depression,,, its the thought of going postal every time someone cuts me off in traffic...i have issues with cops and my meds are just strong enouth to make me a zombie...why did i join the military anyhow??? i didnt have the gi bill so it wasnt for college,,,i guess i was a young innocent kid who just wanted to surf foreign ports...

  • this made on me cry!!!!!!!!! we need to stop war! if two countries are fighting over land...seeing how many people each can kill doesn't have anything to do with land!!!!!! why do we kill people.... its just another soul lost!!!! each thumbs up this comment gets is each future war stopped...share this with everyone you know!

  • I wish my husband of almost 18 years would see this. He's forcing a divorce upon me WHILE he's deployed. His initial "Dear Jane" letter, on facebook, was primarily how dead he is inside, and the fact that he's "putting on a face" for everyone. He admitted to dark thoughts towards me and his daughter, that he didn't want to hate and resent me. Since then, when he does talk to me, everything I say, he says hurts him, when all I'm doing is letting him have his space and another option.

  • @Lovina44 If your husband really is saying that he is having dark thoughts towards you and your daughters I would suggest getting him help. Do not let him near your family if he remains that way.

  • @gerfall Thankyou, I've printed up your response. Reading it has helped. He's still deployed and gotten worse. I sent our daughter to stay with my Mother In Law, but then the Army ALLOWED HIM TO TAKE HIS R AND R AND GO VISIT HIS DAUGHTER!!! It turned out alright, nothing bad happened other than he started blowing money like it was never ending and started cutting me off from all money but what he wanted to give me. He's even broken the law. They won't help him.

  • All I can say is GREAT VIDEO! Do some more! SGT U.S. Army (w/PTSD)

  • good work, the clips brings some of what they go through to light. good choice of song as well

  • Good job...but spell the words right..."receive"

  • great work buddy :)

  • You did a great job. My husband served in Iraq. Only suggestion is to keep the words up longer. Otherwise Great job!!!!

  • It's very sad that many of these lads don't get treatment for their disorder, and yet you don't hear much complaining from many of them. That's dedication right there.

  • The intro using google maps was excellent. I am going to steal some of this footage for a film I am making.

  • I am a PTSD soldier. I understand that some have to serve so that others can live free and peaceful lives. The life of a soldier is War, when you are not at War you constantly train for War. That's just the way it is. Hopefully This budding film maker will never have to experience any of this because of those that served

  • Isn't soilders the army? AIrforce-airmen: Marine Corps-Marine: Navy-seaman: Coast Guard-Coastie Army: Soilders ALL BRANCHES=Troops

  • Here in Canada it's the same nobody understands, more people should see this.

  • Stop your government and please reflect on your history. Use those Ideals and resourses to create the real America. The America we Aussies believed 'we' could become. Defence of one's shores only. No foreign intanglements. We are friends to you but not your leaders.

  • ive called all the help numbers none of them helped me at all fuck it there is no hope

  • @cobbz07 Hey man, there is hope dude, we have to be there for one another, because no one else is going to fucking help us out besides our own. Whats the problem man, whats wrong?

  • @8stringnightmare i need help telling my shrink how i really feel ... unfortunatly the way i really feel is one of the 3 things that will get me committed... whats happenning and why do we have to be afraid to tell the truth about our feelings...i lie lie lie and then she thinks all is fine...

  • @93CFD Dont know bro, fucking do what you have to do man, whatever is best for you. But they should not look down on us or have us "committed", thats fucking bullshit. I tell my psych whats bothering me and shit, than they just increase the dosage of my Sertraline, which i dont even take because i hate medicine. The only ones who are going to help us is our own man, dont expect society to help us, because they could give a shit less what happens.

  • @8stringnightmare my next appt with my shrink if friday at 8 am... im going to take your advice and tell her whatever is on my mind... and i hate my meds too but last time i quit taking them i almost went to jail twice... so i take them even though they are heavily sedating...take care bud...

  • @93CFD Good luck to you bro, yeah i just dont like medicine, hell im skeptical about aspirin and stuff, so let alone an anti depressant. Trust me man, its not easy, but i just try to have as much patience and tolerance as i can for society, but its slowly dwindling away.

  • I am too a student. I am in gradute school for my MSW. You have done a wonderful job and i would like to share this with as many of my fellow students as i can. once again good job

  • took me 23 seconds to decide to favorite. good job. the opening footage hit home too. you understand it and you deserve a lot of thankyous.

  • my essence feels detached, my mind in a state of frozen shock, my body limping along on from a detached being who doesn't feel here.I Feel almost faregone, wandering...looking...searching...binded with so many burdens of pain and suffering it could cause thousands to collapse into emotional distress. My heart doesn't feel anything anymore, i am already too far lost, already too far gone

unable to be called back from the dark Although i exist physically...

i long ago died on the field of battle

  • @MysticDreama Brother! Your not alone, dont give up on life!

    !!!!

  • @MysticDreama I know exactly how you feel! I am going through the same nightmare, but keep driving on and remember our fallen brothers!

  • @bdf70

I hope you don't do a Matthew Magdzas you sound like a psycho.

2010 Aug 20 Iraq War vet Pfc. Matthew Magdzas kills pregnant wife, daughter, self

The Iraq War veteran shot and killed his eight-and-a-half month pregnant wife, their 13-month-old daughter Lila, and their three dogs before turning the gun on himself. "He must have had a flashback or something.” Said his former colleague.

  • @lesdoyle2000 You sound like a kid! If you don't like it, don't watch it moron!

  • 2009 Dec 23 Afghanistan war veteran Raymond Van Clief 27 Army sergeant gunned down his exwife's boyfriend in front of his children.

  • @MysticDreama Hey did you write this, or is this a quote or something, reason i ask is i am a Marine Corps veteran and i am also a musician, and i am writing a song right now about the things we suffered while over seas, the hardships when we come home, the ptsd, the goodbyes to families not knowing whether or not we will ever see them again, but i was just wondering, would it be ok for me to use this in part of a song, sort of a spoken word part with military drumming style with a heavy guitar?

  • @8stringnightmare Yes i wrote this 8string, this message comes from the bottom of my heart trying so desperately to describe even the fringes of what PTSD is really like. I've never gone to war myself but i heed the warnings and understand the messages that have been brought back by individuals effected on both sides of the conflict. But I can never truely understand the pain and suffering which lurks behind the eyes of those who have seen unspeakable horrors and events.

  • To answer your question, Yes. You definitely can use these words, anything to get the message out. These words may be tiny in comparison to describing the enormity of PTSD, but hopefully someone out there will hear these words and gasp a fraction, at least, of the dire understanding of PTSD.

  • @MysticDreama Thank you, it would be an honor to do so, and dont worry, ill make sure the song doesnt suck!!! Im actually in the process of writing a few songs right now, i have one from Iraq i wrote about 5 years ago, i also have a few more to, related to PTSD, war, i mean, who better to get the message out then veterans who are musicians who have been overseas. Instead of Nickelback or Drowning Pool writing a song to get into a popularity contest, let us send the message, not those fucks!!!!

  • @MysticDreama Right.

Cause Soldier's come to YouTube to talk about their problems.

If this is how you feel, if you're really a Soldier, I would suggest seeing a shrink man. Good luck to you.

  • my Heart bores for these people. Words cannot describe the level of pain that i feel for those who have lived through these unbelievable, absolutely incomprehendable experiences. I Wish with all my Heart that some one , ANYONE out there who knows some one who has PTSD to know that there are people that care, people that are trying to grasp the huge enormity of these issues to try and help them and who are trying to percieve it from their side without having to have lived through it personally.

  • I am one of these members who feels as if my soul, my very existance has been torn out of its place and even then it doesn't come close to the over whelming feeling that the actual feeling of having to kill some one will bring. I can at least go to sleep at night without those images imprinted on my brain. Oh how lucky i am, and how far away from reaching the full understanding of PTSD actually feels like.

  • lease watch my PTSD - The War Within : News Story

i am doing as much as i can, to get recognition for this illness and how it affects the soldiers!

  • there is nothing like it. King David had PTSD from war.

only Jesus Christ can set out my free of the agony of dreams/flashbacks/shellshock.

its too difficult to see a fellowman die...its to my hearts death to see a child die in the middle of it. :.( my heart still bleeds out for the children i watched die

  • its frustration of having youre hand on the trigger and never wanting to let got

These men and women deserve the support.

Serving those who first, served us.

  • I am not going to read any of the comments below because I can only imagine what they many say. My husband deals with PTSD and has now for almost 7 years from his time in Iraq. The images shown here are not even close to what he and his men went through for 10 days straight of intense combat. I found myself one day with the hands of my husband around my neck taking my last breath. It is real. It is painful. It is devastating and it changes more than just the Marine or soldier. Thank you. Moving

  • PTSD doesn't affect only the soldiers that have it. It also affects the lives of their loved ones, wives, kids, parents. Thank you for this video and raising awareness on PTSD.

  • @SlyNicolai was that from playing your modern warfare 2 or black ops? lol fag

  • @SlyNicolai you sir are the biggest douche bag

  • ptsd sucks...

  • Thank you for your service, and for making this touching video. My son served in Iraq and even though he came home to American soil, he could not leave the horrors of Iraq behind. He suffered with PTSD and in 2008, he used his weapon on himself. Even the strongest soldier can go down if his wounds are not healed, and all wounds are not visible. Thank you to all who serve and have served!

  • Well all I can say is I ve been seeing dead bodies in Iraq and in mid tour I turned numb till this day (been 4 years since i ve been back). Start eating beef jerky after seeing some iraqi's head blown off with brains splatter. That is not normal.

  • Im a X-Marine,been blown up and seen and done things I just cant forget.Really glad to see people care about what we are going through, its really hard even to make it through the day.I just wanna forget what I have been through and all the VA wants to do is talk about it.I wanna just give up and deal with it myself, but Im afraid of what will happen.I had to let the love of my life go just for her well beining because I was putting her through hell and didnt know what was going on with me.

  • @MrHcaz28 i thought there are no "x marines"

  • @MrHcaz28 i still thank you for your service to our nation.
