This was a fantastic rental game back in the day. I remember being like oh wtf when at Dr. Wily the special moves didn't work. As a kid I had so much trouble scoring without them. Would love to play this game again

Yeah there is. It's an exploit, but at least you don't have to use a special shot. Go all the way toward the the wall near your opponent's goal. Make sure you are facing north when doing this (never got this to work when facing south). Keep as close to the wall as possible while moving toward the goal, and then at the right moment, use the slide kick (B button) and it'll magically go though the barriers and into the goal.

Also, the top-tier characters are immune to most special kicks.

i mean yeah its not a platform game but for a soccer game in megaman series capcom did a great job in this one, its fun, got super kicks, play as the robots masters in your team. and for that this is a great game for me.

this is a really fun game. i have it on emulator. i use to play this with my older brother all the time ^-^ . and to use the powershots, all you have to do is hold the 'R' button and tap your kick button 'X' and they will do it. on the option screen, you can add up to 7 power shots. Would love to see them come out with another megaman soccer game for all systems or at least ds,psp, etc.

Ah yes, the greatness that is Mega Man's Soccer...what else can be said? The one game where you actually have to be afraid of Dr.Wily - unless you get into a shootout with him. XD Which is actually how I beat him the first time. <.<; Buuuut anyway, what a fun game. It's rather too bad I never got to try this game multi-player, as I imagine that's even more fun. Anyway. Props to Capcom for making this game! And as a final note, I made an MMS video of my own, and it's here on YouTube.

hmm that game was cool, but mostly in multiplayer. It's sad though that it never got finished. The gameplay isn't that good and the AI is pretty bad. Even mediocre. It was so easy to just go around the goalie and shot into the net. Also sad that stats were almost the same for everyone except the speed, which was the best stat. Which made Gemeniman must better than Woodman. Oh well, I hope they will actually finish it someday and release it in a collection. The main idea was still very good.

I agree with you on the AI, cause on several occasions, I would shoot a shot that would bounce off the goalie, then the computer would pick the ball up and pass back to the goalie while he was still down, resulting in a goal for me, and I would LMAO ever time that happened!
