@chucknyc123 They knew who was in town on Broadway or who was out promoting a major film...they were in the industry and knew what was going on....

@chucknyc123 Of coarse a young Billie Jean King at the top of her game defeated Riggs an old man at the time. A true match would have been between King and a top male player, but I doubt any would have wasted his time playing in a circus game
