I must admit that I am on the fence on this issue leaning heavily toward pulling out. It is not that I disrespect the troops. You have done an admirable job with the task you were given, but my question really comes down to the Iraqis. Are they willing to fight as hard as you for a unified Iraq? Do we have realistic goals for Iraq? At what point do we say we can come home? If the war is not going well, at what point do we have to concede that the ongoing conflict is too costly?

Maybe they are not as concerned about morale as they are about the lives of soldiers and innocent civilians. Maybe they are more concerned with saving this country from economic collapse than they are about morale. I would bet a lot of troops' morale would go way up if they got to come home.
