You should ask yourself...am i a fag? answer:YES! dude you have no idea what your talking about, up here in the country called Canada... ever heard of it? its our culture and its our game... just like no where else in the world do they care about the super bowl, our sport that kids wish and dream about is hockey.... you will never understand that. So please before you embarasse yourself stop your ranting because all hockey fans will have something to say.
You put the GREAT GAME in the same breath as "other games"? Basketball and Baseball??.....take your jersey off and give it one who respects the deep rooted history, traditions and nobleness of "the Great Game".
@InquistiveJoe go play tiddley-winks or bottle caps because those are "mere games' where everyone gets a ribbon for participating. Hockey is the Great Game, with Stanley being the hardest and OLDEST trophy to win in all sport. It has a shrine that has silver rings dislpaying names of champions going back over a century. Respect it, or you will not be respected!!
your a dick you dont even deserve the jersery you probaly jumped on the bandwagon and the bulls didnt win the finals you dont know shit about chicago hockey god damn its more of a game
@steen575757 you play hockey AND hockey? holy shit. you made too many gay jokes to inquisitivejoe in your little back and forth there which obviously suggests that you want to suck him off for free. canucks in 6 vs detroit and canucks in 7 vs boston.
Remember in 2006, when the stantley cup happened, lots of Oilers fans were partying close to the downtown of Edmonton. Lots of arrests were being made and it had news stories.
Thanks bud hope we meet in the west final next year, I agree with all ur points, but people show their passion in different ways, they may get angry cause they care so much, take care
I'm seeing an improvement with your voice, which conveys more emotion now. Good video, and I agree. Also, if you meant games in general, like Call of Duty, you are right on.
Coming from Vancouver (and not being a Canucks fan), I can tell you that hockey here is more than just a game. This is a way of life for people here. This is specifically why I stopped being a fan of the team. This is a city that had one of the most imfamous sports riots in North American sports history when they lost 1994 game 7. This is a city that even after the Olympics still says that winning 1994 game 6 is the best sports moment in the cities history. It is definately not just a game here.
Being from Buffalo, the culture is that it is more than just a game. It's all the city has. I agree with you that people overreact a lot, but I also sympathize with those who feel sincere disappointment when their team loses. Although interestingly enough, Buffalo fans may curse and swear and possibly break stuff in a drunken rage, but win or lose, they don't have the reaction of other cities. When the Bills lost the Super Bowl, the team was welcomed back with open arms. That's sportsmanship.
@Xplayer007 To lose four Super Bowls in a row and still support your team is true loyalty. Along with having your team go 0-16 and still being a fan. ;)
@InquistiveJoe that like me and the oilers they have not been in the playoffs since 2006 and i still love them in canada it`s more than ``just a game`` it`s a way of life look at montreal they moved a political meeting over to the next day so that fans of the canadians can watch them play
My belief why people do this is because its one of the few things that people put their love and devotion into then to be let down at the end makes them sad but instead of sad they get fierce with anyone or anything thing that stands in their way. Almost like a parent when their child lets them down.
I understand where you are coming from, but I disagree just a little bit. I actually don't mind people throwing fits because of loses because it shows that they're passionate about their team. I'm a NY sports fan and live in the NYC area and you don't know how many people I see get pissed off at the little things their sports team do wrong on a daily bases. I think it is quite cool to see how much a sports team can bring out the emotions in people. That's just my opinion.
@InquistiveJoe Haha, good point. That's just how much we care about winning. I went to a NY Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles game in Philly years ago. The Giants beat them in overtime and after the game was over, people were flipping cars and burning other teams merchandise. I guess that's just what society has turned into. Everyone wants to win and will do anything to win.
@InquistiveJoe Is it right to compare them to the people who did that?
Anyways. I agree that they take it too seriously, but I feel that it isn't a real solid argument. Saying "It's just a game" isn't a real good one imo. It's about passion! Remember your Shane Dawson vid, the one where you got really angry at the end. Would it be right if I had told you to chill out and that you shouldn't be fed up and has said that "They were just videos" Is life gonna end? etc." Of course not!
@Sploog321 Fair point. The only difference is that I hate Shane because his humor is in poor taste. Whereas this is just people upset that their team lost.
getting mad at sports is the same as getting mad at video games they are both pointless in life if we had people mad like this at the things our government does then the country could be a better place
@mwmwmwmwmmdw video games is a bit different because its the players direct influence. If a team loses, its because they suck. If someone loses at a game, they PERSONALLY suck. ya dig?

@canucks458
No, up here in Canada, where I live, most of the people I know don't "embarasse" themselves by flipping the fuck out when their teams lose.
BTW suck it Canucks. Get fucking owned. 4-0 on your own ice? That's gotta sting.
Fucking two little Sweedish queers and a goalie who thinks he's the best, but the truth couldn't be any further. Gratz.
