She's actually saying that she was doing the best she could for the crappy script that she was given, then she asked people to watch the movie seriously and handed out free DVDs. Finally, Bullock was asked to return her award less than a week later because they gave her the wrong one. She did, and that's pretty classy if you ask me.

I actually enjoyed the film. I thought her performance was cheesy and outdated, but it was actually quite different to the usual 'seen it before' rom com, and deserves respect just for that.
