I did the same thing, only with a still picture digital camera. I also took a picture of my odometer when it had my student number from when I was in High School. I turned my 1996 Maxima over to 100k about 2 years ago. And now I am at 133400 miles and waiting for the next familiar/landmark number.
wish i could have done that with my '97 Altima....but instead I got it when it turned to the 200,000 mile mark on Tues. Oct., 10 of 2006...(and even then it was only pics not the vid...) Still cool. =)
