What did all these Eastern European immigrants to Gary have in common? They were Jewish. Gary Indian had a large Jewish population. A. Martin Katz (1964–67) became major in 1964. Jews are as racists as the anglo saxons and refused to integrate with the black population. Gary would have thrived if the Jews were more open minded.

Actually? United States Steel was built in 1909. And named Carnegie Steel. The name was changed in the late 20's. I know. I worked there from 1976 to 1983. The rail mill had a huge beam that had Carnegie Steel on it. (As you walked in the Broadway Street, main gate.)

Gary is the most dangerous city in Indiana. More killings than any other city in Indiana.
