Don't use your real name online, dont' give your information to strangers and if you get emails asking for your name, address, and more never never EVER give them that information. They sell it to companies and people that will steal yur identity.

You can call and freeze everything unless you give specific authorization to get credit cards, put your name on do not call lists and call all of the creditors and send them letters and things to get that taken off of your credit after explaining how it was identity theft.

she is out of state away from her mom for the first time in her life and her mom ordered her credit report for her. The bank called the police and they came to arrest her.....she was so scared she is ready to come home...anyway they froze the lady account and the FBI are involved...this lady has lived as someone else for years she is brave....

I have been through identity theft and it took about 7 yrs for me to straighten it all out. That is how much they screwed up my name!! I had lawyers and everything...So sorry this happened to you and hope that the credit agency clears this soon... they can take forever sometimes, too!!!
