  • Thanks for a very nice video!

  • You mentioned a couple of hours in the tumbler. I use only about 20 minutes. Is there a need for a longer time to tumble?? Great video, wish you were able to keep your hands out of the camera's way while doing some of the work.

  • @WinefredM The longer you tumble the metal, the more it "hardens" and gets more polished. You can polish things for just 20 minutes, but the longer you leave it in, the nicer the metal becomes. I put them in, and just let it go, minimum 2 hours, often longer. I love the results. Yes, I wish I had invisible hands, but alas, it's not the case LOL... The camera is on a tripod (I did not have anyone to move/hold it), sorry!

  • What are you using to hold your jewelry tools. You are very organized. Thank you.

  • @ELLAGANCE410 I use a tool holder from FireMountainGems (I have others but that one is my favorite). You can find it if you search for Tool Holder, it's called "Display, wood, 8-1/2 x 3-1/4 x 1 inch tool holder for pliers"

  • i enjoyed the tutorial alot. i couldnt quite understand the type of wire you stated that u used. do u mine letting me know?

  • @sheria36 I use 18 gauge sterling silver dead soft round wire. Some people cannot wear 18 gauge, so I also make them in the slightly thinner (commercial size) 20 gauge sterling silver round dead soft wire.

    Hope this helps!

  • @sheria36 I use Dead Soft round sterling silver wire :) 18 gauge is what I am showing in the video, but not everyone can wear this... so you can also make them a bit thinner, using 20 gauge. I would not go any thinner than that for hoops.

  • enjoyed the video. thank you so much.

  • Enjoyed your video! Not sure where to buy a tumbler...

  • @pennylane1972 You can get them in a lot of places, the best brand to get is Lortone, so look for tumbler or Lortone Tumbler in places online such as Fundametals (.net) , Riogrande , Beaducation (Beaducation even has a video to show you how to use one if you just search for the word Tumbler it will come up along with the actual tumbler listing). You can also get them on Ebay, etc. Just shop around for best price. Good luck!

  • Thanks! You're a great teacher.

  • Hi Ellagance410, I buy my sterling silver wire from Rio Grande.

  • where do you buy your ss wire?

  • @ELLAGANCE410 I buy my sterling silver wire at Rio Grande.

  • Great video! Easy to follow instructions!

  • How do you wear these as earrings. You need to be able to put a wire or something to put thru your ears.

  • @luvbeading688 These hoop earrings do not need any additional wire. You just open them and slip them in the holes in your ears and lock them up behind your ears. That's why we generally only use 20 gauge (thin) or 18 gauge (a bit thicker) sterling silver wire, so that the wire itself is not too big to fit into the holes of your ears. Not everyone can take 18 gauge, but 20 gauge is what we call "commercial" ear wire size, so that fits everybody.

  • @luvbeading688 You open up the hoops and slide them in the hole in your ears and then lock them shut behind the ear lobe.

  • Very good simple instructions. Easy! thank you.

  • You're all very welcome!

  • Nice!!! Thank you.

  • Thank you Natalie, Great instruction and great filming to see what you're doing. Hope to see more work from you.

  • thanks for sharin !!!
