@8010cookie Yeah, I fully agree! Thirty years young, to be sure. I re-watched it the other day, and nothing still comes close to it. Even the special effects are terrific by today's standards.

Terrific! A fascinating glimpse into the making of this seminal action flick. As a huge 'Raiders' fan, I couldn't take my eyes off it. Spielberg was born to make movies, and you can almost taste his passion for the craft. Now I'm hungry for the rest of it! Thanks a million for posting this.

i never knew they kissed, they should have left that in so sweet. i love spielbergs directing, he makes sure everything is perfect, proberly why he is the best ;)

In the movie they never realy expalain what happens when they open the ark, i have been told that it's the Hebrew good himself who appears in a female ghostform called shekina and is forbidden to look at.

@9mmed I meant my copy of this part. There should be at least Part 5 and Part 6 to have the complete Original Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark. My RCA CED videodisc had the complete program.

i think they planned it in the original script and it was something like after marion told indy to come back tmr, he was leaving. and then marion called him back and asked him to kiss her or something. but it's a bit weird that they would kiss after "marion has learnt to hate him in the last ten years".

Yeah. In the Raiders book (It includes the extras) before Indy leaves Marion tells him to kiss her to refresh her memory.
