De LP640 is vooral in de hogere rpms één en al puurheid. De Gallardo maakte een harder en bruter geluid, vooral in de lagere rpms. Als je de G opentrok dan klonk ie meer als een, quote van mijn beste maat: "Zwaar verkrachte trompet". Maar desalniettemin bijzonder indrukwekkend :)
De LP640 heeft ook een volledig stock uitlaat systeem. De Gallardo had Larini bypass-pipes.
Rami, is de LP640 wat softer qua geluid als ik deze hoor, of lijkt dat maar zo...?
De Gallardo klinkt zoveel "stressvoller" als een klein op hol geslagen kindje waar de LP640 "volwassen" klinkt. Misschien vergis ik me :) Wat een feestje was dit ding zeg, goddelijk.

Yep, thats whats in the manual on my 08. Wondering though, how much of a delay is it from punching it to actual launch? (looked like milliseconds in the vid)...so like if you were lined up for a standing 1/4, would you punch it right at 'green'?
Considering i hear even on an 08 clutch you only get about 10-12 of those before its toast (so thats about $500/launch), if i line it up, i only want to do it a couple times.
It would take some real testing to get that right. I don't know how it works where you drag but one some of those events your time only starts when you actually get off the line. You might lose a few milliseconds from your opponent but in that case it wouldn't hurt your own time.
I have done around 12 launches on my car and when I sold it at 30000km (18600 miles) the E-gear wear was just over half.
This is no guarantee for your car of course, I'm just letting you know how it was with mine ;)

ESP off, sport mode on, bring the car to a full stop, remove foot from brake, hit the throttle FULL force. The cars revs up to 5K rpm and launches.

Keep in mind this is VERY stressful for the clutch, I wouldn't do it on pre-MY06 Gallardo's.
