Droopy probably has some decoys set up just to trick the wolf. lolz. I love the "Now let's not get nosy, bub" line. Droopy was a lot better in the earlier episodes because in the 50s he became so much less "droopy" looking and walked really fast.

This cartoon breaks ground on so many levels. The way Droopy flatly says "I surprise him like this all through the picture" borders on self parody.

And like the trip back from the log cabin is simply the trip there reversed and sped up, the way the Undertaker measures him up mid-fall (and somehow zips back upwards to his office), the wolf comes to a complete stop before touching the ground, everything is just so hilariously over the top. I love it.
