  • Spy sappin ma vulcun

  • SENTRY RIGHT UP THERE

  • I would remove it and fire a la Heavy weapons guy :3

  • @sonicmaster987 I wanted to mod it like the turret from Portal

but I have limited time these days

  • thay never said to paint the nerf guns lol

  • cool

  • dude really? u just used windows Movie Maker and edited out ur self from the video but i belive that Vulcan Was attached to that table

  • dude... you are frigin retarded... none of what you just said is true

  • you cant do that with windows movie maker

  • I used Windoze Movie Maker on Linux with Wine.

  • i dont think it's fake. all you have to do is have a motor attached to the vulan and servos to pull the trigger, and u could have a remote controlled vulcan

  • sick mod i'm subbing you rock!

  • lol just lol

  • lol

  • it would be more cool if it can shoot with out pulling the trigger

  • all you do urbanninja369 is tape the trigger

  • I don't have time but what I wanted to do was to wire in a relay so the switch could be controlled automatically. Maybe at some point in the future.

  • thats cool

  • niceeeeeeeee

  • nice

  • dude nice!

  • i was planning on putting a remote control turret on mine as well. only i was going to also putt a camera right below the end of the barrel so i can then look at what im shooting. another nice thing to do is install a computer into it so that it can use the camera to detect movent so that it can track objects and fire at them.

  • The video response shows some more information about how the camera is mounted and how the targeting system works.

More information about the project is available at the website.

  • thats crazy! but y did u add a weight bar on top?

  • The bar of aluminum is on the top to counter balance the weight of the D cell batteries. If I can ever get time to work on this again I will probably add external power and remove the aluminum and the batteries.

  • AUTO TURRENTS AWSOME perfect for secruing bases in nerf war nice...are uselling it??? =0

  • Right now it is designed to be hooked up to a laptop. It needs some sort of on board targeting system and some design changes before it would be ready for sale.

  • k thanks for the info

  • now just make something to pull the trigger

  • HOLY SHIT ! just what i need

  • does it shoot

  • It doesn't shoot automatically yet, all that will need is a relay in place of the trigger mechanism.

  • the only thing it cant do is aim up

  • I love the portal turret sounds

  • does it even shoot remotely??

  • The firing mechanism is not finished yet, but should be simple to implement with a relay. When it is finished it will fire automatically, but the scope for the camera needs to be fixed for the computer targeting to work.

  • I have a gun modified this way too, you beat me to the idea though! Mine is just RC but I would like to make it auto eventually.

  • whoah howd udo that, but thats not really good to use in a war since its not automatic, u have to control it, and 2 it cant go up and down

  • This was a mechanical systems test using a HiTec digital robot servo HSR-5498SG and remote control. There were some balance issues due to the weight of the batteries so that is why there was a large rod of aluminum taped to the top. Moving the turret up and down would not be that difficult.

The video response posted shows the automatic computer vision targeting system.

  • this is really cool!! I would pay u to do this for me!!

  • More video footage with the computer vision system integrated will probably be posted next week.
