  • What beautiful music! Its good to hear someone else who still loves and plays the Hammond organ in church. Sadly, organs are disappearing from church, as churches want to modernize. I consider myself lucky to have an old-fashioned Methodist church that still wants me to play the organ. God bless you!

  • I really love how you play!!!!! You're an inspiration!!! Keep on playing for God!!!

  • The doors of the church are open!

  • LAWD HAVE MERCY!!...This made me want to join a chuch!!.. I LOVE IT!!! just down right awesome.

  • Play it like u know it!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • thanks!

  • You're welcome!!! ;-)

  • whoa! bring on more! =)

  • from one musician to another...THANKS!!! God has blessed you, too. I've listened to some of your vids as well....just GIFTED!!!

  • Evertime I hear this I want to throw my computer you are killing that cv

  • LOL...don't throw your computer, Doc!!! ;-)

  • love this medely. You also get such a full and robust sound out of your CV there. But even though i'm still considered a youngin i guess(only 18 xD) i still love this music, contemporary is nice and all but getting back to the old songs is defently a must.

  • Thanks, Violist. If you could hear this CV in-person, you'd hear/feel even more of its fullness. I'm trying to create a way to capture its sound via the Leslie speaker and the tone cabinet so that there's even more fullness when watching (listening to) these videos.

  • When my mom started her church, I would lead and play songs just like this one on piano. We would sing different songs every other Sundays.

  • These are good, soul-stirring songs.

  • Glory to God in tha Highest. I woldnt jus say that is Baptist style, i would jus say Southern. Im Methodist, and pretty much how we do it also! Got me in here ready to shout. Praise tha Lord. Jus blessed!

  • Shout on...shout on!

  • Doc, if you ever come to Hampton, Virginia for the Minister's Conference, I have to get you to the Historical Queen Street Baptist Church to play some for us!

  • Let's see about it. I haven't been to the Virginia/DC area in about 10 years or so.

  • Beautifully done. Are(were) you one of the musicians at Fellowship? I came to fellowship as a young man in the late fifties. I do remember a little fellow and his sister running around the church. This little fellow went on to become one of the great musicians at Fellowship. Are you this musician. I was a part of the young adult choir and the Mass/Radio choir under Wilbur Ranzie, Ronald Hall and LouDella Evans. Later LouDella Evans-Reid. We were located at 46th and State Street.

  • No, I never played an instrument at the Ship. Plus, I was a member there from the mid-90's until about two years after Rev. Evans' retirement. However, my wife and I were part of the choir as well. Reggie (McCracken), his brother, Ron, Steve Jones, and Miss LouDella were our main directors. Ralph (Rev. Evans' son) and Djuren usually played piano while Pierre Walker usually played organ. Bryant Jones was able to play any keyboard, organ or piano there. Don't know the drummers or bass guys.

  • Excellent! These new musicians have gotten away from this type music. All I hear now is all this comtempary music, which is okay. However a mixture is good. Please post Sweet Holy Spirit (played slow) and Oh I Want To See Him (played slow and sweet) Bless you Brother.

  • May the Lord God Jehovah bless your heart, soul, and purpose in Jesus' name. I will do my best to get these requests filled as soon as set my new music studio. My family and I just moved back to Chicago, and we're getting things in place. Give me a few weeks and PRAY for God's blessings upon the rest our move and the ministry He has called us to conduct.

  • Now this is what im talking about doc!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All right, Doc!!! I'm just trying to show my heart through these songs.

  • I love it!!! Your sound is amazing!!! God Bless

  • You know, my flesh loves to receive compliments, but my spirit (which is greater than my flesh) reminds me that our Father gets the glory, as His talents and gifts flow through me (and you, too). So, let all praises be to Him. Someone simply needed to be reminded that their deliverance come through complete surrender to God and trusting Him no matter what. That's the significance of these two hymns on this vid.

    Be blessed, sis~~~

  • Good ministry. Sounds like Sunday service just before the Pastor preaches.

  • Man, you were able to keep the tempo without a drum and no singers. That's good!

  • Yes, the old wooden floors and benches. No drums needed...feet tapping took care of the beat. PRAISE GOD!!!

  • Man you better quit it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can picture this mentally like it was back in the day with Clay Evans singing and the congregation rocking in the seats and people fanning themselves b/c somebody is about to bust loose. Keep posting I love it!!

  • Pastor Evans could sing "Father, I Stretch My Hands to Thee" like none other. Yeah, this is the good old stuff. Everybody doesn't understand it, but we do ;-).

  • I truly enjoyed this. I can hear the feet tapping on the wood floors of the church while everybody sways back-n-forth.
