I'm pleased to see someone playing it at the correct tempo! Most of the clips on Youtube are much too fast and you lose the quality of the piece. Absolutely beautiful.
Bravo. I have been searching for the name of this song, almost my whole life. I like your take on this song. Do you know exactly what the whole name of this song is and the Author of this song? Irv.
Congratulations and thanks Dave Seck for your performance! You brought me to another dimension!!The neatest thing to heaven I´ve had found!!
bronxboy47 Ditto your comment. Somethings are more beautiful the more they are kept simple i.e., controlling the urge towards excess embellishment as is so often the case with this simple but lovely little gem. Bravo Dave!
A slight correction: After finding and viewing "A Little Romance" on youtube "A little Romance 12 The End" I discovered that this movement was playing as Lauren and Daniel were APPROACHING the bridge of sighs. Their float under it and the "kiss" occurred as the bells of Venice rang out at the magic hour. It appears the entire movie can be viewed on youtube in 12 parts.
Beautiful! Now I have to find my Betamax copy of George Roy Hill's 1979 exquisite masterpiece about young love, "A Little Romance," the first video tape I ever bought (@ $65.00 1980 dollars!) Why? Because this concerto ran throughout the movie and because it starred a very beautiful teenager named Diane Lane with whom I was in love (and still am) in her very first film. I wanted to be "Daniel" sailing under the bridge of sighs with "Lauren" to this movement! Thanks for the memories.
beautiful.
