This was on Friday on bbc2 . at 2-30 in the Morning . what a stupid time to put on such a great film. Dudley Sutton is just a fantastic actor. always wanted to see it .

I was actually up the Ace Cafe last night (every friday night is Bike Night)...it looks almost exactly the same...brilliant!!

after my army discharge in Germany in 1964,i back packed to Africa then up to London in the summer...i wish now that i could have spent more time there...i slept in an old car, in earls court..i love the birds in this video....

I started going to the Ace Cafe in 1962, great days, but all thanks must go to Mark, the current owner, for his dedication, enthusiasm, hard cash and a lot of graft to restore it to its present state. Without his will and determination, it would probably still be a tyre-fitting establishment and a famous piece of motorcycling history would have been just a memory. I'm still riding and love a good burn-up!!!
