FFVIII is the best in my opinion squall is bad ass, FFVII is classic and legendary same as FFVIII then FFIX is ok but not as good as FFVII FFVIII, then FFX was amazingly refreshing when squaresoft became square enix --> X-II and so on it became kinda out from originality of FF. But since i like FF its ok as long they keep them coming up and as long they have something same left. Really wish they would remake FFVII and FFVIII on ps3.
I didn't like FFX, but FFVII, VIII and IX were all really good.
Personally I enjoyed FFIX the most because of the characters and the story/philosophy involved. Finding out that Vivi was just a construct and his subsequent questioning of his own worth was interesting and then to find out the main character was simply a more advanced version was, perhaps predictable, but thought provoking nonetheless.
