  • Say my gravity readings will produce 5.0 abv at bottling time. How much more alcohol can you expect from the priming sugar? Thanks!

  • @wabblewater Depends on amt & type of sugar, yeast, etc ... assuming 4 oz of corn sugar (dextrose) in a 5 gallon batch and 75% aa from the yeast, roughly an additional 0.13%.

  • Did the beer get skunked from exposure to all the light during the recording, or was it drinkable?

  • @pauswa1966 You know, I don't even remember! So I guess that could mean that it was fine, and there was nothing remarkable about it one way or the other; or it could mean that it was blotted out by my subconscious. Looks good, though.

  • Now that I know you guys listen to Rhymesayers, you may have become my exclusive home brew supply store! Great taste in beer AND music! Cheers!

  • Great video

  • Which Mr. Dibbs song is that? Love the video, so cool to see the yeast take off with the krausen - boom!

  • Love this. I wish MY beer was fermenting even HALF as vigorously as this one right now...

  • @shorty6049 - Yeast starter and oxygenation will get you there for sure. A little yeast nutrient doesn't hurt either. I do all three and have to use a blow off tube every time to avoid Mt St. Helen Pt. II.

  • @andrewt248 haha, I just realized I posted that comment a year ago... So, as an update, the fermentation didn't get vigorous , but the beer still turned out ok (not one of my best, but still good)

  • hell yeah another great video

  • Yeah, that's pretty fucking sweet.
