@visitplanetmike I know! :( BUT, if you play the gameboy advanced version, you FINALLY can play as the double bladed Maul :D I try and unlock the secret characters in a Star Wars game, but when they cut Maul short of his two blades in this one, I was kinda sad.
@Elijah4Pokemon yeah I know about starting a new game in 2-player mode...so I guess "2-player" save game and "1-player" save game is different? If I unlock everything as single player and save it, I can't play those characters/levels/unlockables with 2 players right?
This might be a really dumb question but...how do you enter 2-player mode from a load game? I play PS1 version and it takes me straight to the character select screen with only 1 player after I load a game.......or do you have to play through the game with 2 players in order to have a "2 player" save file?
@shinobi4 Im not sure i have it on the ps1 and when it comes up it shows the menu screen and it says press start after you press start it will say new game,load game,options,credits u should be able to press new game and it will say 1 player/2players jedi mode/easy mode then the game starts. on the load there should be 3 save slots for either 1 or 2 player games. perhaps the version you have is a old one and they hadent made any updates to it or seomthing
@scarhunter92 Trust me man, you can do it :) It's about perserverance when it comes to killing Maul with Plo, make good use of the double-Triangle, Force Lightning and Square-square X combos :) There is also a good trick to beating him inside the last room with the bottomless pit, I'll tell you about that if you want ;)
This game is a classic. I LOVE the nostalgia associated....and yes, from my vague memory I got more mental over this at times than any COD player etc haah! For 7 year olds to play this game was kind of harsh haha I love the quaint style and graphics. I also loved the times were you tally your points <3 pure love for such moments....and I loved EVERY level (though Coruscant was a bitch)

This game ruled... haven't played this for a long time. The last level was awesome... but quite difficult. I even managed to kill Darth Maul with Ploo Koon ;P ... that was pretty hard but the reward was great. With Ploo Koon I unlocked Darth Maul as playable Character. Unfortunately with a normal sword and not that kick ass thing he uses in the movie/ last level.
@TNFPP Plo Koon was the first character I used to beat him when I was a little kid haha. Good times. Still one of my favorite games, even though I used to get frustrated playing it a lot haha.
@TNFPP I am playing as Plo Koon right now, and i just had to see if anyone has beaten Darth Maul on this level. Becuase I have tried all day and not had much luck. I am sure it is possible, you just have to b hardcore with Plo's combos. Ah well I will keep trying! :)
@CommandoReko Hehe, nah, Plo Koon isn't dumb, but he has one infamous character flaw: He's unbelievably, glacially slow, which makes it sometimes impossible to land a blow on maul when you reach level 10. But with both perseverance and practice, It can be done, and the satisfaction of beating maul with "Slo" Koon is a unique feeling.
You also unlock a Droidekas bonul level, which is pretty fun. Good luck, Godspeed and all the best if you give it a shot CommandoReko ;)

@pingo57 Totally agree man, I HATE these Tusken Raiders and their stupid bullets. Coruscant was okay, except for the parts with the probe droids chasing you everywhere. the jumping stage in Level 4 was a bitch aswell.
Furthermore, I think LucasArts should make a new upgraded version or a sequel to this game, an actual "Jedi Power Battles II." But this time, more levels like stretching all the way to the end of Episode 3 and more characters to play as, like Anakin, Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin and even Yoda just to name a few. Same basic concept but with superb graphics, some more voicework and less of those platforming jumps. This would be an awesome game for PS3, 360 or the Wii. I'd shell out $60 for it.
I got this game for PS1 on Christmas Eve 2001 and have played it often ever since because I wanted to kick ass as a Jedi, five Jedi to be precise. Cutting droids and shit open is now a favorite pasttime of mine.The problem with this game is that jumping all those platforms and risking falling off isn't needed, worse being when you get shot in mid-jump and die. Those little perks where if you go off-screen for a few seconds and then suddenly die, even with full health, aren't necessary either.

this is the DEFINATE version of ep. 1 game. the actual one was just alot of running around and talking to people and collecting stuff, not really a whole lot of action.....
I remember when I first beat this game, I also used Mace. He had the better force powers and abilities. They really did make Sam Jackson one bad MoFo! I loved his saber stance though. Real unique. I never understood why Maul always did that blowing sound. I HATED the whole generator sequence though cause the views were so messed up. Had no idea if you'd make a jump or not. I could never beat with Plo Koon or Adi Galia. ALMOST with Plo. Not at all with Adi. She sucked. Big time.

I love this game, one of my favorites, and i still own it. i have beat the game with al the jedis, and i think mace windu, plo koon and adi galia have the best force powers, but qui gonn has the best saber moves and combos, hes force power suck though but when i play qui gonn maul has no chance :) but my favorite is plo koon, since i saw him on this game he became my fav star wars char, and lucas broke my heart on episode II withs koon's blue saber :(
i always played it with a friend of mine many years ago. at 2 player mode it was even more fun than alone. i don't know how many nights we played it without interruption :D hard as hell, but great game!!

Furthermore, I think LucasArts should make a new upgraded version or a sequel to this game, an actual "Jedi Power Battles II." But this time, more levels like stretching all the way to the end of Episode 3 and more characters to play as, like Anakin, Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin and even Yoda just to name a few. Same basic concept but with superb graphics, some more voicework and less of those platforming jumps. This would be an awesome game for PS3, 360 or the Wii. I'd shell out $60 for it.

I got this game for PS1 on Christmas Eve 2001 and have played it often ever since because I wanted to kick ass as a Jedi, five Jedi to be precise. Cutting droids and shit open is now a favorite pasttime of mine.The problem with this game is that jumping all those platforms and risking falling off isn't needed, worse being when you get shot in mid-jump and die. Those little perks where if you go off-screen for a few seconds and then suddenly die, even with full health, aren't necessary either.

@deadlyblue65 hehehe, so is mine. whenever i pop in the "Phantom Menace" game, and i watch that music video of the film w/ duel of the fates in the background, it always freezes up on me, and skips soo dang much that i have to force it to work, that's right, i'm using the force....... LOL!

this is the DEFINATE version of ep. 1 game. the actual one was just alot of running around and talking to people and collecting stuff, not really a whole lot of action.....

I remember when I first beat this game, I also used Mace. He had the better force powers and abilities. They really did make Sam Jackson one bad MoFo! I loved his saber stance though. Real unique. I never understood why Maul always did that blowing sound. I HATED the whole generator sequence though cause the views were so messed up. Had no idea if you'd make a jump or not. I could never beat with Plo Koon or Adi Galia. ALMOST with Plo. Not at all with Adi. She sucked. Big time.

I love this game, one of my favorites, and i still own it. i have beat the game with al the jedis, and i think mace windu, plo koon and adi galia have the best force powers, but qui gonn has the best saber moves and combos, hes force power suck though but when i play qui gonn maul has no chance :) but my favorite is plo koon, since i saw him on this game he became my fav star wars char, and lucas broke my heart on episode II withs koon's blue saber :(

i always played it with a friend of mine many years ago. at 2 player mode it was even more fun than alone. i don't know how many nights we played it without interruption :D hard as hell, but great game!!
