  • Jimmy IS the most underrated. He's amazing. Looks like an insurance salesman but plays like the devil!!! I sure hope I get a chance to see him again sometimes. When he does Star-Spangled Banner, playing with his teeth, it's one of the sexiest things I've ever seen.

  • Wheres Brother Bill in there?

  • I first saw Jimmy with the Nighthawks in 1978. It's been amazing to watch his transformation from rowdy "playing beer bottle slide on the tables" club player to blues legend. Some of those very early Nighthawks shows I had the privilege to be at were some of the most intense, mesmerizing, and truly impressive live performances I've ever seen- by anybody. This guy can truly play like nobody else, and if you haven't seen him live, you need to.

  • did u ever get to see him when he was with the "nighthawks".he played the "V" (gibson) then. incredible. jimmy and the late eddy shaver are two of the best i've ever seen "LIVE".

  • Clips like these are why I added my cross the Bay neighbor TAMPACHICKEN to Subscription List....

  • Jimmy is a blues guitar legend. When I lived in Omaha few years back,,,I must have seen him 3 or 4 times in the clubs. Nice guy to chat too. He keeps pumping out those ccd's as well.
