  • According to this month's issue of Nintendo Power, it stands for Max Doctor, Kurt!

  • SPEAK, BOY!!!!

Hey! You let go of my friend's dog!

    MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!

  • max: if he eas here id-

    shwang: you called

  • *Sexual Voice* Oh yeeaah....

  • this rly helped me finish this boss

    thanks and good vid :Þ

  • Man I use to love the music of this game.... wtf... I still do.

  • God I loved this game...

  • This is what I call a good game. Still have it and still play it.

  • Nobody really knows, not even the development team. It has been assumed to be Murder Death Kill for quite a while, but the developers had loads of running jokes about it, for example in the readme for the original MDK which was released on mothers' day they called it Mothers' Day Kisses. One thing it may be though, is in the manual for MDK 1 Dr. Hawkins calls the overall happenings of MDK Mission Deliver Kindness, which may also be it.

  • Hmmm I always thought it was " Max Doc Kurt."

  • It could be that as well, that was another theory about what it means, but I don't think anyone is really sure.

  • Yeah I thought thats what it stood for too.

  • @ghhyrd They did finally reveal that it was "Murder Death Kill." They made it ambiguous so that they could sell toys at Toys 'R' Us.

    It's all on the wiki.

  • @Anakite "MDK does NOT, in fact, stands for Murder Death Kill. In the FAQ section of the readme.txt file of MDK, the developers state that "MDK" does not stand for anything special, and can be whatever you want it to stand for, such as Mother Day's Kisses.

"MDK" as "Murder, Death, Kill" comes from the action movie "Demolition Man" (starring Sylvester Stallone, if you really want to know...) which came out in 1993."

~found off a forum, not my own words...

  • @yrulaughing Look, man, the readme is outdated. They were keeping it ambiguous as a joke.

"In an interview with David Perry in the RetroGamer magazine released in UK, David revealed that the original meaning of "MDK" was in fact "Murder Death Kill". This can be confirmed by viewing the game's concept video where the game's logo is written with those words on top of each other with the letters "MDK" enlarged."

Found off wikipedia. Not my own words either; more credible than a random forum.

  • @Anakite Any retard can post shit on wikipedia, it's just as reliable as a random forum... I guess I just ain't believing shit until I see this "concept video" or a picture...

  • @yrulaughing But not any retard does, since they need to post *references.* It's as reliable as any article on the internet which cites its sources, far moreso than any forum post.

If you're going to be that stubborn, then look it up for yourself. Or maybe just look at the install screen for MDK 2, since it's *there.*
