  • great demo Channell. People want to turn this case into a mini trailer apparently. Maybe we should sell a set of wheels and a hitch like the bike friday does with their case? Why not? Just bolt it on and off you go.

Got a call today from Ed, who said he will recommend our case, now that the b-pod failed to materialize! yipee.

  • if this geezer rides a Brompton then I'm getting one as well.

  • B&W International folding-bike.box (hard) no. BH96006 (96006)

  • yes, valid point by dewexdewex - I am searching for a means of 'wheeling' my brompton about once I've dismounted and am say in a building/shopping centre/other location. It's way too heavy to fold up and just carry around. This case looks great but there's ironically no apparent way to bring it with you whilst riding the bike. Hmm.

    Any suggestions welcome please.

  • @Nibbler800 Brompton's Eazy Wheels (a rear rack with attached wheels) allows you to easily roll the bike around while folded. The YouTube video hUfSJ1sG--c shows it in action.

  • @Nibbler800 Part 1. I have two of these cases now. I got the second from the same company in Scotland in the UK half price as it was a returned one. That was just lucky. I've used them a couple of times and had no issues with bike damage; so they're certainly fit for purpose in that way. However, they're a bit awkward to move around with the bike and other stuff in them.

  • Part 2: The case can be trailed behind the bike if you extend the handle fully and bungee it to the back of the seat, but you have to go fairly steadily, as the case wheels are not very large. To make the case easier to move around when packed, I blind riveted some 50mm castors and wheels onto the bottom of it, putting some short pieces of aluminium angle inside the case to take the rivets and beef it up a bit.

  • good job , looks good

  • I made a similar case which also trails with a simple hitch to the bike: solves the problem of "what do you do with it" when you get off the plane.
