one of the most poignant moments in scrubs i think, reference to Cox's beaten past hurts everybody because of his normal rough demeanor. I think it is the best scene in scrubs, not because it is funny but it takes you away from the funny silliness and reminds you that they are mere mortals.

For a primarily comedy show, scrubs has an amazing ability to focus on the serious side of things and I really do praise the writers and Bill Lawrence for the amazing ability to give justice to certain aspects of life. Not likely, Though it isn't to say he wouldn't want to in some deep part of his mind. Carla mentioned Perry's parents were dead in Season 8, Not that he killed them.

Considering that Perry's father drank quite a lot, It wouldn't be surprising if that contributed to his death. Most likely of liver disease.

I could only hope that his mother passed of old age or natural causes. Considering his mother watched the abuse, It's not surprising she could drive herself mad with guilt at not interfering
