Achh. I grew up with adventure games. First text interface and then point'n click, scumm. etc. This clip has brought up a lot of memories. Indeed, the story mattered the most in those productions and the backgrounds in some of them were hand-painted. Though the last time i had pleasure to explore world inbuild in adventure game, was at the Grim Fandango gameplay. Nice clip friend. Long live the '90s.
Excellent video that set the tone for what has been lost. Although due to downloading and the indie market, a genre that seems to be making a comeback! :)
That's actually going to be the subject of my next video (if I do indeed get around to finishing Torin's Passage), so stay tuned for colonial mayhem...
I'm primarily a Sierra gamer, but I do a little bit of LucasArts on the side. It seems, though, based on your list of games by Tim Schafer, that you would know what Psychonauts is. BEST GAME EVER. I love that game, although it really isn't a pure adventure game. :( So, I can't really do a playthrough of that...

Ah yes, the good old days;...
I also grew up playing many of the great Adventures games from LucasArts and Sierra.
With MI1 still being my favorite game of all!! Followed by SQ, GK, Loom, QFG and the list goes on and on...
Anyway,
beautiful video accompanied by some beautiful music. Thanks for sharing!

tim Schafer rote Loom did he

Don't think so...but I'm no Loom expert, either. Loom is not as light-hearted as most of Schafer's games.
