The killer was ridiculous. I knew right away who it was cause that actor plays similar roles like that & nobody else stood out. He had 0 thought process. He shows them a dead cat and shoots Daniel to scare them into leaving. Yet he wants them to continue so he himself can find the girl, so he gives them clearance to look for her, knowing full well it would lead back to him. Logic? Not so much... And I understand the effect the TWO rape scenes were supposed to have but it was still a bit much...

Love the reviews but The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was awful... after solving the mystery they tried to return to the first plot and did nothing with it, we learned it was all for nothing. When the old man gets what he was looking for the movie basically shoves meaningless scenes down our throats. Daniel's character did nothing too... I mean the girl could have done everything! Oh he figures out their old Nazis and a there's a biblical reference, that his daughter showed him... Real useful...

I was insecure about "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (I'm Norwegian, so I've seen the original Swedish one.) because I've been afraid that it's been too 'Americanized', but I'll be seeing it anyway.. AND, now I'm excited to see the War Horse film, though I believe I've seen a film before with the same plot.."Black Beauty" has a lot of similarities, but I love that film, so iz all good. Spielberg can do me no wrong.

Whoa, Harry was taking a stand! I actually thought he might get you in the end, Catherine, haha! btw, I want to see TGWTDT and War Horse at some point, but I LOVED Ghost Protocol, insanely! Paula "That's what I'm talking about" Patton; perfect phrase to describe her in this film. I thought the characters and the story, as well as the action, were all the strongest in this film. And all of Brad Bird's movies (including this one) are among my all-time favorites.
