I think this reminds me of the Vocaloid video a person made awhile back. Called "Kokoro." But please, before I get bashed for referring to a Japanese song, please listen. The story of that video is practically like this one, where the robot was inputted with the personality of a loved one, but didn't have the heart like a human. When it finally did, it was an overload for her, so she "died".

Aka, it's also like bicentennial Man (Robin Williams). Brilliant animation nevertheless.

Looked great, had a great message and left me with a feeling which can be described as a mix of "wow" and "sadness/dissapointment". Because of the prettyness, the message came in even harder.

Beautifully moving and provocative. I seem to be processing everything recently through the personal filter of a friend's dying. A friend who is extremely bright, extremely left-brained, and whom I jokingly called "my zoo creature." He reminded me a bit of Star Trek's Data in search of feeling (and his "humanity") or of Pinocchio, who wanted to be a "real" boy. Maybe the "smile" represented the robot's "humanity" to him, his ability to feel and express more fully, ie from the right brain.
