  • THANKS for upload

  • Charts?

  • I have a question let say you use Mel's mix...

And put a condo for the worm...

Would you have to change the earth after couple of year?

Or the worm would be enough for fertilizing ?

    thanks

  • How about determenate tomatos grow all their tomatos then ripenin them all at one time. indertemenate tomato plants ripen the tomatos after they've gotten to a certain size. With indertermenate tomatos you can have tomatos all summer. With determenate you have to wait til summer ends then get them all at one time. I don't like determenate tomatos.

  • He not only looks like Lincoln, but he is also a godsend for the people.

  • Mel is so young and crazy here :)

  • He sure is !! I so wish they could re-broadcast all his old shows. I used to tape them all on my old beta machine and watch them when I got home from work at night.

  • I am reading the book right now :) And preparing my garden for this.

  • test

  • thats quite a poets beard he has dont see that kind very often.

  • Mel's still around - you can see him on several recent segments on the GardenGirltv Youtube channel.

  • lulz

  • Mel is great and his SFG method is terrific. His comb-over hair is not fooling anyone that he is bald. I can see why he now always wears a hat.

  • please someone post more & e-mail me when you do!! I love to grow plants and have come up with ingenious ways to do so inside!! post more more more more more.....:)

  • sorry for the double post...forgot to tell ya what I came to tell ya...You can get the DVDs from the old PBS series on Mels website

  • I found an old copy of Square Foot Gardening in a free box of books years ago...He's been my hero since! Thanks for showing me what he looked like!

  • i've been trying to remember this show for years and years, and finally i found it again! i was beginning to think i'd dreamt it up.

  • Thanks for posting...

  • He has a new book, "all new" square foot gardening which includes some improvements...

  • hey its andrew what year did this video take place?

  • Mid 1980's as I recall. I sure wish I had taped more of them as well.

  • I loved that show! I was only about 23 years old when it was on the air, and my in-laws thought it was funny that such a young person was so excited about gardening, but I grew massive amounts of food in a tiny space.

    Thanks Mel!!!!
