Poohead0990 No, the doctor said they are not safe and unless it is really bad (which it was) she would not give me the jab...instead she put me on more pills "Diclofenac" it does make it feel better but I wish there were a more natural remedy. I hope it lasts for you :-)
OMG!.... that looks painful, I am booked in to get the shot on Tuesday but after seeing that and reading the comments, I don't know if I should have the jab now
I will tell you I had tennis elbow for 2 years and I have been playing tennis for over 32 years, I tried just about everything until I came across a Doctor who performed a surgery if you could call it that way, he made an incision about one inch and enter the scuffle and asked me to move my elbow in an specific direction to crack the cartilage, 6 weeks after recovering it is like I never had anything in my life, I would suggest looking into it
@Raulmalaver what was the surgery called? i've had it for 2 years also, i wanted to skip the injections. because it seems like a temporary fix, i'd just like to get the surgery and have it all taken care of, i heard of a couple different procedures but this one sounds easy enough.
Damn.. Both arms for me and needles are at the bottom of the list - no not even on the list of least-desirable things.. I'd rather immoblize my arms for 6 months and allow them to heal than go through this with only 'temporay' effect. Ouch! Ouch too as I type this though! Pot apparently helps enormously.
Got this injection today, it hurt more than any shot like this I received before in my hip or feet and ankles over the year. If you need this shot get it but it was a bit more painful than the other shots .
i'm a doctor and i got tennis elbow from tennis playing.
medicine, physiotherapy, ointment etc didn't work on me.
i inject steroid on myself.
of course i'm scared of needles, that's why i use the insulin needle,
which is the smallest needle possible. ( only 1/3 the size of those shown here) the injection is relatively painless ( at least i can tolerate)
and it worked for me.
but make sure to improve your tennis technique or the pain may come back.

Looks painful and I heard it's only a temporary pain relief. Also can do long term damage.
