Great video. I had trouble in deciding whether to go for the 6 or the 7 after getting a 70-200 lens. After seeing your video, I ended up buying the 7 million! Thank you for the great advices.
@Dracil Yes it will fit vertically, but you might now be able to close the bag all the way down. I have done it before, and used the clips just to make sure the flap doesn't come open.
can you wear crumpler bags really high up your back like bike messenger bags? if so can you post a pic or video? I would truly appreciate it. its the only thing holdin me back from buying one.
@hoyKEBIN if you want something to wear high on your back, then I wouldn't suggest this bag. You can adjust the straps so that "higher", but it is definitely not like a messenger bag type like the Complete Seed or Western Lawn that Crumpler also offers. That said, have you looked at those bags, because Crump & Tenba have inserts. Check out my Western Lawn vid. I would suggest using a larger msg bag though. That might fit your monopod, T2i, and extra stuff better, plus its a true messenger bag.
which crumpler mdb should i get for my t2i? for now I only have kit lens but I surely will be buying more stuff for my cam. flashes, lens, and maybe a mono pod.
@hoyKEBIN The Crumpler 5MDH would work perfectly for it. You will have room left over for another lens and flash too. My first go...I wanted a bag to hold all my camera equipment...but I usually don't carry around all my equipment now. I carry for what I think I'll be shooting. So now I have 5MDH and a 6MDH. Both are perfect for carrying around bags and now I have more options. If I need to bring alot of equipment, I use both bags. If I only want to bring my body with a lens, I have the 5MDH.
Just look at all the other Crumpler Bags available and I think your question will be answered. I think the name is catchy, like all their other bags out.
hey there I have the 6million dollar too. 7 Million was alil big for me too so the 6million is the perfect bag for walk around i love it can hold my a350,a sigma flash, 24-70 lens too! and more space to put my trash.:)
hi ive been looking for reviews on the web about the next camera bag im gonna buy its hard to find a review that they actually show you how the bag would look when wearing it or carrying it.. so frustrated actually. I guess if you could show me how the bag looks when youre carrying it with and without the inserts i guess.. arg... still looking for that kind of review.cheers
I actually do not have the bag anymore. I returned it and now use a 5MDH and 6MDH. The 7MDH was too big for a carry around bag. Now I have more flexibility. If I just want to carry my 5dmkII and one lens, then I can use the 5MDH and not have all the extra room. If I need a lot of space, I just bring both bags with me. Its good too cuz at weddings, I can just carry the small bag on me at all times.
@gasitman Im pretty sure they are although they are designed to be water resistance. I hope you got a good deal on it. Ebags is offering 20% off through Bing Cashback right now. I think I got my 6MDH at 30% off with Bing.
Wow..do you actually walk around with all that gear on you? Must be heavy after a couple of hours. Anyway, nice review and very roomy bag. What other bags did you consider besides the Crumpler 7MDH? Did you, by chance, consider the Tenba Large Messenger bag? Great review and even better gear. I've got a D90/18-200VR/35 f1.8/50 f1.8/2 flashes and some diffusers. But, I don't like to carry all of them at once...so I'm thinking maybe the 6MDH or maybe even the 5MDH may suit me better.
Yeah most of time I do. But these days I usually just carry my 7D with the 24-70 lens so I am looking for another solution right now. The 5 Million is too small with the battery grip on, so what I am thinking about doing is....I have a Crumpler Western Lawn Messenger bag also, and I a bought the Tenba Photo Insert. I am going to see if that works just for my Camera with one lens, and maybe the flash. I'll post a video when I get it all together.
In most instances it is wide enough. But there are times when I wish I had wider. Right now I have a 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8. I do plan on getting a 10-20 next to fill the void. I just use a 18-55 kit lens in the mean time. It was toss up for me between the 17-55 and 24-70 for my walk-around lens. I ended up with the 24-70 because its L Glass (build quality) and I wanted a higher focal length. I guess it depends on what you shoot more. I shoot people more, so the 24-70 seemed more appropriate.
Im thinking the same "arsenal" 10-22, 24-70 and i already have the 70-200 2.8 IS.
I used a program to check the EXIF data and graph all my pictures by aperture, shutter, and focal length -- i found i use 35-50mm most, so I think the 24-70 would be good for me.
I also do a lot of portraits and candids of people, as well as events and auto.
@mcgong I had the Sigma version and the canon version of ultra wide lens and non of them are that amazing u wont see it right away but u will se it in a future if u do large prints there is distortion at the corners and they are way to slow. now i have Tokina 11-16 and u cant imagine the sharpness and what a difference the F-stop makes just go to your local store and try it its wayyy better than any other lens
@Cicada1337 definitely don't waist your money with the 17-55 by canon it is NOT l lens and yes it is higher quality then the usual ef-s but trust me Dont waist your money either way go with the sigma 24-70 or if u need the wideness of 17mm get 17-70 OS they ware kind enough to send me one for testing and now i cant wait to buy it
Thanks for the advice. Yeah I already got the 10-22mm and I agree that there is a lot of distortion, especially at 10mm and major vignetting. I was looking at the Tokina as well, but wanted something with more reach. I use this lens as a walk around lens sometimes so I don't have to lug around the 24-70. I'm planning on moving up to FF soon, so my 7D will get moved to the rear, and I plan on getting the 16-35 II lens. I'll probably use my 7D mostly for reach with my 70-200mm. Thanks again.
Hey Dude, Are you able to put some Exercise book (DinA4) into??
I would you it for my Camera-gear, but also put 2 or 3 book's for school -->

Nice review, I might get one too. Just FYI, there's no [k] sound in the pronunciation of "miscellaneous".

Can this bag fit the 7d+70-200mm mounted with reversed hood straight down? If not, how about horizontally?

are you finding the 24-70 wide enough for what you shoot?
im trying to decide if i want to go with the 24-70 or 17-55 2.8IS on my 7D
